This product is a joy to use. I like to make cakes with as many layers as I can slice, but that means they are too thin to lift without being fully supported. This cake lifter is perfect for the job. It is thin enough to slide between the sliced layers of a cake without causing buckling. The grooves means it doesn't get stuck between the layers. It is also large enough to be able to handle a 12In cake! Highly recommended for any home baker!

I bought this as I was making my son's wedding cake. The bottom tier was a 12" sponge and the cake lifter helped me to move these cakes around without splitting them. It will be useful for all cakes.

Excellent device. I use it as a pizza peel to lift my pizza off the hot stone in my Delizia Pizza Oven and to guard it against excessive heat at the base.

So good for soft sponge cake, no breaking. Also great for lifting omelette and pancakes.
