My wife is a keen baker and we often find ourselves wanting to pipe icing but have nothing better than a ziplock back with a cut corner. This trick works great for plain icing but is no good if you want pretty patterns.Tala products are the products you see in many craft shops and places like wilkinsons.This piping bag is little rigid but this gives me a bit more confidence when giving it a good squeeze with thicker butter cream icing. The bag is capable of holding enough buttercream to get through a batch of 24 cupcakes without an issue.This set comes with 8 nozzles with a variety of patterns but you can buy addition nozzles for a really reasonable price if you want to use the bag for something like eclairs or macaroons.

A shame really, because if you're seeking to pipe choux, or any paste that's heavier, thicker, or less pliable than usual, it can not be forced through the nozzle.But, a very good product indeed, the nozzle selection is spot on for the cake decorator (but there's only one or two wider nozzles). But what one ought be concerned about is the bag, because many are pathetic. Through the see-through cover, I worried it was fragile and cheap for it's evidently made with cotton. But I was wrong. Inside is a cotton bag lined with plastic.The picture does not do it justice. Amazon would do better to get more detailed images.Although my first experience is forgettable - the danish cookies refused to move in the bag - I am keeping this.

I bought this for the nozzles, because I knew I would get frustrated washing out a bag, so can only comment on them and so far I have been pleased! A great beginners set, and they work well with disposable icing bags. A note that if you want to do fine writing, you'll need to get a no.1, as this set contains only a 2 and 4. (These were fine until I wanted to do some smaller writing on cupcakes, and then discovered that they were a bit too big)A great product though, would highly recommend for beginner or casual bakers!Additionally, some reviews seem to criticise that they're too small, but they are intended for fine icing work, not necessarily buttercream, choux pastry or meringues!

As a complete novice when is comes to baking, I purchased this bag and set hoping it would do the job. It completely exceed my expectations!The bag is very thick and very easy to clean afterwards and can be turned inside out. The nozzel is secured with a screw cap adaptor, which once in place, is very secure. It comes with 8 nozzels;No. 2 - WriterNo. 4 - WriterNo. 24 - 6 StarNo. 30 - 8 StarNo. 59 - Ric-racNo. 67 - LeafNo. 98 - BorderNo. 104 - FlowerIt is surprisingly easy to use and the results were impressive ... if I do say so myself! Very excited to use again and create different icing effects.Highly recommend! I hope this review was helpful! :)

Great icing set. Easy to use. Most of the nozzles are quite narrow (reason for 4 star) but a couple will be used frequently I'm sure. Used for the first time yesterday. I found it very easy and wasn't sure my daughter would be able to control the bag but I showed her what to do and it was no problem at all. The bag washes easily in soapy water (the inside is more "plasticy" and the outside a soft touch fabric). Don't be put off by the fabric on outside of the bag - it all washes simply and easily. Great value kit.

Although the bag does feel quite thick, the fact that it was plasticised inside enabled me to wash, dry and use for another colour icing during the same baking session when my other thinner cloth bag (not a Tala) let me down. Also, it didn't leave me with greasy/sticky hands. Very impressed with the strength of the bag, stitching etc. Have not used it for fine work, but can't see a problem and would definitely recommend for general use. Decent range of nozzles. Everything washed easily. Problem free icing for me!

This was reasonably priced and I bought it for my sister and I to use. Its easy to use and the attachments are Brilliant!!!However the cleaning of it however easy it is, if you get a bit of colouring on the white part I was a little put off (this made me think about buying disposable bags but I dont know how you would use the attachments) All in all this is a lovely product though. We're beginners so was a lovely little present and something you pick up again and again. Well priced and quick delivery.

I'm quite happy with this piping bag, it was a good value for the money. Plenty of nozzles and it's easy to clean. The only minus is that it doesn't have the big nozzle, so it's more like for decorating cakes. And when you want to make eclairs (which i tried to do with with the biggest nozzle) they turned out more like worms rather than nice big eclairs. So I figured it's better when you don't use any of the nozzles and it's actually turned out to be quite good. Overall it's a good buy.

Great little icing set. I have used the plastic type in the past, but I found the nozzles used to try and pop through the ends if you squeezed too hard. This one does not do that. The nozzle screws on securely and the bag is coated inside to help the icing move down easily, this also makes it easier for washing. There is a good selection of nozzles (size and designs) so whatever your project, you should find one suitable for purpose. Very happy with my purchase.

A nice set- bought as a Xmas stocking filler for my daughter who's just discovered how much fun icing cakes can be. This set not only looks attractive in the packaging but also looks a good quality starter set for a novice. Really pleased with the price of £2.79, bought as an add on. Looked at other sets in tkmaxx etc and this was by far the best one I could find - without paying 'silly money'. Looks like a set that would be easily used by all ages.

Just tested this product over the weekend and I’m very impressed. It would’ve gotten 5 stars for easy to clean if the piping bag material didn’t stain, but I did use food colouring in my baking. Overall this is a fantastic set, easy to use, as a beginner to piping the instructions were clear and the nozzles allow you to have a great selection of choice. The bag and assembly was easy, easy enough to clean. I’m very happy with my purchase.

what a brilliant product. the icing bag is so easy to use. just today i made chocolate cupcakes and white chocolate icing, the bag made is so easy to decorate the cupcakes, there are plenty of nozzle to use, that do different patterns, you are able to do star patterns, leaf patterns and more. i highly recommend this product. there were no leaks and the bag is so easy to clean which is a bonus.

I have only previously used an icing syringe, so this bag came as a pleasant surprise. In the past I have struggled to ice cakes as my syringe constantly popped and left me infuriated, this bag however just made icing much easier, it is very easy to control and has a good range of nozzles. The bag is easy to wash out, so all in all a great buy and now I don't have the dread of icing cakes.

I'm pleased with this purchase. It comes with leaf, star and writing nozzles, which are good for getting started. The coupler is a little cheap in manufacture, but is easy to use and essential for doing more elaborate designs. The bag and nozzles are good quality and easy to clean. You can also remove the coupler and just drop in larger sized pastry nozzles that you might already own.

all the nozells are small, as a first time user i would have liked to know more about what i was buying and suggestions for the size of nozzel that would be most useful, these are very small and probably specialist for white icing, not for making eclairs or making larger swirls with butter icing. Definately more information would have been useful but otherwise, no complaints.
