Firstly, I should probably say that when I ordered this I had never used a piping bag before - never really iced anything before to be honest. So when I say this was easy to use, that's coming from a complete novice. The tin is a bit flimsy although sufficient for storage of the contents after use and would present well as a gift. The booklet inside was not that informative in terms of using the piping set itself but I managed to ice 24 cupcakes without too many problems after just a couple of minutes practice so instructions are not really needed.This review doesn't sound that positive so far when considering the 5 star rating. Well, here comes the positive part ..... this is genuinely great fun!

This icing bag set is a great starter kit for any decorative icing. The piping bag itself is strong and sturdy, made of a plastic coated reasonably thick cloth. The internal part of the bag has the plastic coating, making it easy to use and clean, while the outside is cloth, making it easy to grip and hold.The set comes with eight nozzles (numbers 2, 4, 24, 30, 59, 67, 98, 104), all of which have reasonably small openings, so they are good for icing decorations, but maybe not other piping bag functions. They give a good range of shapes and effects.The small decorating booklet is very clear and gives some good ideas, hints and tips for those that have not done much icing before.

It's official -It's love. Absolutely perfect for the intricate detail that I wanted to do! If you're after something that's a quick one blob per fairy cake sort of thing, this perhaps *isn't* for you, as the nozzles and bag aren't huge. But if you're wanting to do fine decoration on cakes or biscuits I couldn't recommend it highly enough. AND it's extremely good value -I saw the SAME set on the high street for almost double the price here. It's neat, handy, well designed and made, and the only drawback is that I can't imagine how I baked prior to its arrival.

This is my first Tala product. I was very happy with it. But after quite a few uses, the bag is starting to become a little lose around the bottom, where the nozzle screw thing is stuck on. I also wish there was a big nozzle in there too (such as 1cm+ diameter circle nozzle). The nozzles all seem a little small. But they are really good. Washes well, but as I've had it a while, the bag itself is starting to smell a little, no matter how I wash it. I may need to look into replacing it soon..

bought this to add to a baking hamper i am building up for a gift at xmas for my daughter, she loves baking but is always losing the icing nozzles ,so the fact that these are kept in a tin is a great idea,i cant give a full review of how good they are at this time,but i will after xmas,all i can say is, they look good and have varying size nozzles,and they arrived very quick, so i can reccomend the company for delivery, so yes i would reccomend them, and i will use the company again,

Bought this set as I wanted to add a little more fun to icing my cakes. Got this because I trust the Tala brand and love the little tin it comes in. I find icing syringe offers more control of use than icing bags. This syringe was also very easy to clean after use. I found it easy to load - just make sure you don't over fill or you may have trouble reinserting plunger. Would recommend as both I and my two daughters (age 11 & 6) had no problem using it and kids had a grest time with it.

Great piping set. Bought for mam who has been trying to find one for years after her much used one broke. She doesnt like the bags and others like this are just plastic so break easily. Apparently exactly the same and was over the moon so brownie points for me!! Made of metal and comes in a lovely storage tin box with little booklet of recipies and some additional nozzles. If anything like her last one should last another 20 odd year lol.

I brought this because i am a very keen baker and im a teenager that loves piping. It is gvery professional, comes with a book, proper nozzles and a firm bag. The tin is very useful and really nice to have. It doesn't pipe mash potato but it will pipe any icing! Only one problem is that the bag is very stiff but when you get the hang of things it becomes easier. I would only suggest this for people who have experience in baking.

I've never used a piping bag, and really into baking at the moment so I thought it would be a good purchase.The tin is really cute and I love the fact it came with a leaflet to get you started, it was surprisingly easy to use after reading the leaflet.Piping is definitely one of those things where practise will make perfect.Extremely happy with it and will definitely be investing in the Tala collection again.

I love this icing bag. I thought I'd never be able to master those cute cupcake toppings but this set has actually made me look like a pro!The tin is fairly big compared to the product inside but that has worked to my advantage as I have put other icing nozzles and paraphenalia in it.As with all Tala, I love the design and branding.

Bought this as a present for my daughter who is a keen baker. Has produced some good results and practice makes perfect. The tin is attractive and easy to wrap making it an ideal present for those interested in baking and wanting to add attractive icing to their creations. The bag will need careful cleaning unless you use disposables.

Tis arrived yesterday, was a present for my sisters birthday and shelved it, it came in a small tin and I was wary that the product might not be upto scratch but it was all nicely packaged inside. Nice design in tin. The price was ok for what itu is but overall very happy with this product, it's a lovely edition to any budding baker.

I bought this for my daughter-in-law as a gift at Christmas. She loves it. I got her a baking book and silicone muffin tray too. There is everything you need to do decorative icing and it's in a really cool tin too so can be easily and nicely stored which is much better than having bits and pieces rattling around the top drawer!

The Tala Icing Syringe Set in a tin was everything I hoped it would be, and having had one years ago, am looking forward to using it. it's much easier to use than a piping bag,very well made and of high quality. Love the tin and design, it's a delight that it has not lost the nostalgia of years gone by. Love it.

Better price elsewhere, but this is still a good value product for the money. The syringe is lovely to use as you get real feedback as to how the icing is piping, and it's very easy to fill and clean. The booklet that comes with it also has little diagrams to show you the pattern each of the nozzles produces.
