For 4.15GBP I was expecting something a little sturdier than this. It isn't bad, but I have bought slightly sturdier racks for under 5GBP.There is a bit of flexion on heavier cakes. I put a fairly heavy fruit cake on it and it was bending under the weight. Not really a huge problem, but you might want to bear this in mind. For lighter sponges and smaller cakes it is idealMine was delivered with a bit of a twist in it which I straightened out, maybe this has lent a hand to the flexion. Packaging wasn't particularly good, but I guess it kept the price down.It has been through the dishwasher a few times and doesn't appear to have been affected by this.Had this over a year now and after frequent dishwasher visits it is holding up well - I originally gave this 4 stars because of the bending,

I'm not sure that there's too much scope for differentiating between different cooling racks but this one is perfect for what I needed. I had just bought a bread maker and realised that it's important to get the bread out of the machine and onto a cooling rack as soon as possible. I scrabbled in the cupboard and could only find a disgusting rusty old rack that had probably belonged to my grandmother. If you're going to 'treat' yourself, it's not exactly blowing the budget to buy a new rack. I snapped one up and it's had a lot of use already.It stops the bread from 'sweating', helps it to cool effectively, and best of all it's easy to clean and it stays nice and shiny if you clean it regularly.It's simple but effective - I can't see any reason to buy more expensive versions.

These stainless steel coated cooling racks, whilst I'm certain would be suitable for cakes, tarts and biscuits, have been put to a rather different use in our household. I had a problem with the fitted cover on my fish tank in that the condensation was leaking all over the wooden tank stand causing it to stain. I came across these racks and ordered two for the top to prevent the fish from jumping out and they do the job really well! One has to ensure that the water is topped up from time to time but I'm really satisfied with them.

Good cooling rack and decent quality for the price.Amusingly though in order to fit its enormous girth into the box for delivery some wag decided it was best to fold it in half. Amazon issued a refund without issue though and the folded rack was hammered back into shape to begin its life of cooling cakes and buns in a wobbly uneven way.No points docked from the product as the issue was Amazon's not the products.

Really great rack. Usually, the racks I've used have bits stick up in the corners where the legs are, minimizing the amount of room you actually have, but these are so large and wide, and make use of all the space.. so you can cool a whole load of things at once.Because the legs are so flat/short on this, it's also really easy to store. It's well made and I have no complaints.Really happy with this purchase.

Good value sturdy cooling rack. I purchased this cooling rack in August 2015 and it is still going strong. I use it to cool baking products such as Welsh cakes, brownies and a sponge. I would definitely purchase the same product again if I needed to. I find it easy to clean (I have used the rack as a base when placing melted chocolate on brownies and it has come out clean after a hand wash each time).

Very happy with these. I bought two of them. Legs are a bit shorter than I’d expected (only got my mums ones to compare them with). Baking looks much better on them than it did in the grill pan thing that I’ve been using for the past couple of decades! Feel solid and as though the will last. Plus of the short legs is that they don’t take up much space. Very happy baker.

Another basic from Amazon that does exactly the job I wanted it to - hold cakes or biscuits to let them cool down and air a bit to avoid condensation under the cake or biscuit. This is slim and therefore easy t tuck out of the way and big enough to I can cool down two round sandwich tins worth of sponge. It is good and sturdy and I have no complaints at all.

6 years on, lots of baking, lots of use & abuse, ..still going strong! recommended (a long term test indeed) they sit in a ram-packed cupboard of baking tins & pans so get the rough end of things storage wise, but are in excellent shape, used weekly for both baking, prepping foods for cold smoking etc.very happy with them.

Takes a tray bake 12x9 or two 8” sandwich cakes side by side, fed up with faffing about with ones which were too small. Sturdy enough, easyish to clean in as far as any small metal squares are, but good quality so would recommend this one.

This cooling rack is a lot smaller then the picture will let you think but thats fine since it takes up so little space. It is a small hassle to clean for all the obvious reasons, but truly, it suits my baking needs perfectly.

Bought for someone else so I can't comment on individual features, but I liked that the squares are smaller than many similar racks. I really can't see why some racks cost a lot more. This one is a very reasonable price.

I have been using this for a few months now pretty consistently and I have had no problems. It is sturdy enough and fits about 12-16 average sized cookies. It is lightweight and easy to store. Would definitely recommend.

It's a cooling rack, it hasn't rusted on me, it cools cakes effectively, not really much more to say. The cross-wire nature does a much better job of cooling soft biscuits than the oven wire racks I was using previously.
