My wife is so incredibly pleased with my purchase of three of these containers in which to store my flour. Previously I was having to maintain three separate piles of flour in my baking cupboard after I'd discarded the bags: one for plain white, one for strong white, and one for self-raising. Believe me when I say this presented its fair share of challenges.Having to distinguish on a near-daily basis between these three musketeers of white flour which essentially look identical was almost impossible. I ended up refining my tastes such that I could tell the subtle flavour difference of the self-raising flour within a few mouthfuls but figuring out which was the plain white versus the strong white flour what a whole different kettle of fish (or spoonful of flour).I ended up having to make a paste with a controlled amount of each flour and water (once I'd ruled out self-raising), mixed each a controlled amount, then attempted to stretch each blob against a ruler - with the longer-stretching fellow being the strong white due to its higher gluten content. With the problem of figuring out which was which almost solved, it remained to ensure they did not mix. This was easier said than done because piles of flour are anything but stable and they tend to spread, especially when attempting to shovel them into my mixing bowl. This is a problem I never really solved. Then there was the rats. At first I was able to shoo them away with a broom, but after breeding they became so numerous that they rapidly ate through my cupboard flour heaps and made their way into the dog food. They kept us awake with their squeaking and gnawing and the only solution was to mix an amount of poison (below the danger threshold for humans) into the piles of flour. DO NOT DO THIS.Anyway, I now have containers in which to store my flour and these fit the bill perfectly. I don't know why I persisted with the cupboard flour piles as long as I did - in retrospect it was folly.

I originally spent £35 on the UPKOCH 10 KG container which was a mistake. That was made of cheap, brittle plastic, poorly packaged by the chinese manufacturer, fulfilled by Amazon but did not make the journey to me without significant damage. Although this Sistema is smaller, it does hold a full 1.5Kg bag of flour comfortably with room to spare AND you get a measuring cup that has the American "Cups" and the European ml's quantity markers. It is made out of really tough, clear polypropylene and the lid is so secure you can turn it upside down and shake it while it is full of flour. It is perfect for baking. The lid comes off completely with two clips that hold it tight but are easy to clip and unclip. You then have the entire top cavity to scoop out the flour with the provided cup. Nice and easy without getting flour everywhere. The handle is moulded into the shape itself and it is easy to pick up with one hand. It doesn't place too much strain on arthritic thumbs! The plastic is non-slip and I can pick up a container with 1.5Kg of flour with one WET hand and do it easily. I can even shake it with wet hands and it still grips. Getting them down from higher shelves will be super easy. This is the 3.25l version but they also do a 2.4l which I think has the same footprint but this 3.25l version is just taller by a few cm. The shorter one would probaly be OK for 1Kg bags of flour instead of 1.5Kg that easily fits in the larger version. Apart from flour, these containers would be ideal for rice, cereals or just about any other bulk, loose ingredient. This is a great product that doesn't take up too much counter space. Unless you are baking all day, every day you probably don't need anything bigger. For small kitchens like mine, this is the ideal size. I'm going to buy another, for wholemeal flour. I think they're underpriced. Get one while you can!

These are brilliant. This is the smaller size for things like brown sugar, currants or a large bag of nuts at around 4-5 measuring cups using the U.S. cup system (I'm guessing, too lazy to measure it all out). I wish the manufacturer would put more effort into explaining the volume on its stickers and on amazon. It is impossible to judge these items without seeing them, and once ordered difficult to return. So reader, for your benefit: there are three sizes of this type of container -- the monster size which holds a big bag of flour with extra space; the normal big size which holds a bag sugar (British not sure American) with spare space, and then this medium sized one that holds baking products of more modest proportions. All the three sizes have measuring cups inside, so you can imagine they are big-ish to be able to do this and still have a large volume capacity. It seems that after these three big-ish containers you move to a flat container, but I wish they'd have a smaller style of this style, with the grab handle -- perhaps with a flap for opening on the top so you can pour things out. I'd use it for nuts, raisins, lentils and such. I do love these containers -- they are worth every penny. Just design some more sizes Sistema!!

I now have a 66inch window sill in my kitchen filled with these Systems Klip-it Bakery Storage Containers - stacked 3 stories high! Not just for Flour (as pictured in the listing - I am using mine for all my Gluten free Flours, Porridge, Breakfast Cereals, Brown short and long grain Rice, Quinoa, Chick pea and Buckwheat Flours, High fibre Crackers, Pasta shapes, Spaghetti, Rice Noodles, Pearl Tapioca and Amaranth to name just a few.All the Sistema range that I have bought have lids with upward facing clips which is easier for my arthritic fingers than similar designs. For instance the lock and lock range has downward facing clips which strange as it sounds are harder to click into place, probably because when the lid is put on you can see whether or not you have put the lid on properly so that it seals its contents inside, as I have had more than one disaster with other makes when I thought the lid was on properly and tipped the container upside to enable me to see why the clips were not clipping into place only for the lid to ping off and being showered with flour! So I wholeheartedly recommend the Sistema range 100%

I love these storage containers & use them for storing various types of flour but they could be used to store many different things. I have had a problem with flour mites in the past so now under the advice of Google I pop a newly bought bag of flour in my freezer (mine can end up in there a few weeks but I think the advice is 48hrs), then once out I allow it to adjust to room temperature & into the KLIP IT. No such problems since thankfully! The measuring cup that comes with it is handy & measures both in cups & mls. Although as I so far own 4 of the 3.25 litre (which easily holds a 2kg bag of flour) & 1 of the 2.4 litre, I have 5 of them stacked on top of each other.Still they come with it & can be used to scoop your stored ingredients out of the container. At the moment I am storing my flour in its bag until I label the containers but once I get around to this I will return the scoop to each container for ease.I've bought 4 of these in total adding as time has gone on so I think that speaks volumes. You can pick them up at a fab price here on amazon too making them an even better product as the price is fab!

The Sistema range of bakery containers are not the cheapest on the market but I believe in the long run they are worth it. They are made from durable plastic that is moulded at one end to form a handle making it easy to lift out of your cupboard. The lids are airtight and the 'klips' that hold it closed have proper hinges so shouldn't fall off after a few months like some cheaper products. All the containers in this range have the same base dimensions meaning they can all be stacked on one another thus maximising the space available. As an added bonus it comes with its own little scoop to measure out ingredients. The 2.4 Litre container is just big enough to hold a 1.5 kg bag of flour and I would certainly recommend it.Some reviewers have stated that it doesn't hold 1.5kg of flour. Well I just did with a good centimetre to spare. If you do it slowly and shake it up a couple of times to make sure it's compact you should have no problems.

I bake regularly and have bought several of these to keep my various flours in. I had noticed that many were taking on some of the strong flavours from my store cupboard (e.g. an out of date opened bar of chocolate lurking at the back, which permeated everything - not nice). This container has solved that: my flours are now odour free, other than their natural smell. It also solves the problem of split flour bags.Although pricey, the container is very good quality; the clips work perfectly, unlike cheaper brands I've had, which can be a pain to "snap on". The mini scoop is really handy too, saves messing around dipping in spoons. It is easily big enough for a 1.5kg bag of flour with some room to spare.I've even bought some of the smaller ones for my sugars.Sounds corny - but it does actually make baking that much more enjoyable.

These SISTEMA food storage containers are brilliant ! Diagnosed as Coeliac it was a nightmare trying to keep my gluten free store cupboard ingredients such as flour and breadcrumbs separate and safe from other ingredients that were not gluten free. Using a separate cupboard didn't work as other members of the family who dont have tothe eat gluten fteefree put their opened packets in there too. I've tried other storage containers but either the clips broke off or they didn't seal properly (which is vital to stop cross contamination). I bought this SISTEMA food storage container and I can honestly report it is the best! I will be buying this product again and again!I heartedly recommend SISTEMA to Everyone - especially those on special diets - 100%! As they are brilliant! Securely safely and completely protecting food.

I bought four of these to store my flour in for baking and I love them. They have clip-down lids to keep the flour dry and weevil-free, and also reduce the chances of spillages with their sturdy construction that won't burst like a bag does if dropped, The inclusion of a handy measuring jug in each container is great for controlling how much is added when weighing the flour out, and I found the tubs stack well for storage too. With their clear walls you can also see just how much flour you have left, which is handy when deciding if you have enough for your planned bake. When you add in the fact that all of the plastics used by Sistema are BPA free then to be honest I can't find anything I don't like about them - easily recommended for all your kitchen storage needs.Certainly won't be the last Sistema products I buy.

OK, it's a plastic container, what's to get too excited about? Well, if you've ever opened your flour cupboard and found an infestation of black bugs (I blame the gram flour myself), then take it from me, you'll want to make sure that EVERY bag of flour is stored in a sealed container. And these fit the bill nicely. The side is curved, for easy grip; they are a doddle to open (some of the other brands are just so hard to force the tabs into place) and of course, that handy scoop. Oh, and the material is nice and clear so there's no mistaking what's inside. I don't bother labellling the boxes on the outside, I just cut out the title from the flour bag or cereal box, and lay it on top of the contents on the inside. The 2.4 litre is for flour, etc, and you'll need a bigger one for cereal.

After a horrid infestation of pantry moths, I decided it was time to start storing all of my dried goods in airtight containers. Having lived in NZ for years, I already had heaps of Sistema lunch and cereal boxes (these are available everywhere in NZ) so I decided to stick with the same brand to keep the larder tidy. I ordered a range of different sizes and I absolutely love them. The large ones can easily accommodate a bag of flour and the shorter dumpy ones have the same footprint as the big ones but for a smaller volume so fit neatly on top. All easily stackable, easily cleanable, and even the stickers that are on them are easy to remove without the need for soaking.I've already bought more and would probably go even more nuts if I had the room.

But please watch your nails when opening the catches on the side. They are a bit stiff to start with and I caught my nail and broke it. (My nails are not long or fake, anyone with them will most likely catch and break them)However it is a great box and I'm glad I brought it.It's a great quality plastic the top is transparent and the base can be flipped over to hold either one cake on the flat surface or cupcakes on the other side in the holes. The handles on top is perfect for carryingI've already used mine to transport cup cakes to the PTA stall this morning and they arrived perfectly as they had not banged into each other.Simply super I would have given it 5 stars if the catch was better,it's not bad, just a bit fiddly

Had this particular type of container for around 2years & I've had no problems in 1 year of regular use, still as good as when bought. However I have never dropped them. Easy to pick up given the indentation to form a 'handle'. Trust the brand & their claims for BPA free. My only issue was I had the container for about a year before I used, didn't take the label off - and now it seems to be melded on & nothing will take it off (the print top came off but the white backing paper is stuck fast). So my advice - remove the label on receipt (comes off easily). Didn't realise Amazon sold them, trawling thru Black Friday deals, brought Sistema up (albeit this container was not part of Black Friday deals,it was a good price).
