After a lot of research I paid the premium for this Wolf-Garten mower. It is well worth the extra few pounds over other mowers because it has a very good build. It does what it is supposed to do (cut grass) brilliantly. It cuts long grass as well as mowing shorter lengths equally on the same setting. I'm cutting fairly high at the moment as I am in the process of rejuvenating an old lawn.The assembly is relatively straight forward following the pictures and text and the bag is a soft type so no fiddly clips etc.In use the mower excels with its strong vibration free1400w motor and ease of use, its easy to manoeuvre around. You can cut or mulch and have a good height selection to choose from.

I purchased this lawn mower because WOLF-Garten tools have a good reputation for reliability, I used to own a Wolf hedge trimmer and it always worked well and was reliable. The mower was able to be assembled fairly quickly although I am not convinced by the "quick release" handles - hopefully the nut at the end of each bolt won't work loose and drop off while in use. Otherwise the machine seems of good quality for the price. No ....the mower doesn't come with the cable but these can be purchased separately so the cost of a cable needs to be factored in when choosing which mower to purchase. However I am pleased with this product for the total cost of mower plus cable and can recommend it

Having bought this mower for far less than advertised here, I got to the bottom of the mains lead issue and wanted to share what I found out. As WOLF-Garten customer service confirmed, there are two variants of the A 340 E being sold, but apart from the different mains lead option have exactly the same features and same powerful 1400W motor.Model code 18AKEJS2650, is supplied WITHOUT a mains lead or adapter for the European style schuko plug/socket.Model code 18AKEQS2650 is supplied with an non-removable, attached 15 metre (about 50 feet) mains lead, which is what I received from another reputable WOLF retailer for £85 shipped, at the time of writing. Bought this as it was a Which? Best Buy. It arrived promptly (ahead of schedule). Difficult to assemble (complicated instructions). Have only used it once so far, so can’t comment on performance/ease of use, though it appears to be good. Writing this review to warn future buyers: contrary to the description (“Box contains.. cable”) there is NO LONG CABLE included. I have been in touch with sotel-electronics who have confirmed that they never include a long cable with their lawnmowers (so you have to buy one separately if you don’t already own one). I have asked them to clarify this in the Amazon description.

This lawnmower arrived on time from Germany. It is high quality and cuts the lawn very nicely. Grass trimmings are all picked up into the bag. It was easy to assemble. The only way warning is that it doesn’t come with an electric cord at all.

A recommended machine with variable height cutting ability, also with option to collect the cut grass or to leave it on the ground as a fertiliser. This machine has replaced a previous Wolf Garten mower that had given many years of mowing.

The mower cuts the grass well & is easy to empty. If you are not technically minded it takes a while to set up.
