At 91 and a mere man I welcome the chance to recommend this cooker.I saw my first pressure cooker in 1948 - it was grey, as tall as a wine-bottle-and-a neck, looked like an overgrown hand-grenade and had a flat lid carrying a clock-face pressure guage.I bought my first, a Hawkins, in 1952. It travelled with the family to the then Rhodesia where it was invaluable if only to boil vegetables successfully at an altitude of over 2000 feet. It gave valiant service until 1966 and I have every expectation that this cooker will serve us just as well. I have bought others in the meantime, some too cumbersome or with inadequate handles or difficult to maintain adequate pressure without blowing their top!I'm not an occasional user.Drastic surgery messed up my digestive system in 1953 leaving me with severe eating problems and I have lived on a diet of meat stews for my main meal almost daily ever since - which is where the pressure-cooker has been a godsend.I bought my WWW 3 Litre "Perfect" Pressure Cooker about six weeks ago and it has come up to all my expectations. The size is adequate for two and, unlike some models, it has a real long handle as well as a grab loop handle for ease of carrying. The handle on the lid is easily removable for cleaning. The pressure indicator is clear to see (even for an oldie) and I have found that it pays to start on a high heat until it hisses and then reduce the heat in stages until the hiss is barely audible (to an oldie) otherwise the safety valve may release the pressure, but - Oh so gently! I cook on an induction hob where the heat variation seems infinite. I usually allow pressure to drop naturally - takes about 10 minutes. Sometimes the lid is not easy to open after sliding the catch but it pays to persevere - it indicates that the plastic gasket is still in good nick.My meals are of the one-pot kind and no two are alike. These days my favourite meat is diced venison. I like my vegetables finely chopped and the potatoes cut into pieces plum-sized. What scope there is in varying the flavour! There is no end to experimentation.Did I say the pan is heavy? Value for money.

I ordered this pressure cooker mainly because of it's smaller size and specifically to make soup after having previously used a soup maker which was excellent until it suddenly stopped working, when I came to replace it I realised just how much soup makers have shot up in price so I had a rethink, I have used pressure cookers in the past I even had an Instant Pot but as well as being heavy I found it to be very slow to come up to pressure and it was very big took up too much room on the worktop, and now our nest is empty I only need small quantities. This pressure cooker seemed to tick all the boxes, and I have been proved right. As it's a saucepan you can quickly brown meat, onions etc on the hob and the biggest advantage is it comes up to pressure within five minutes, there is a quick release slider on the handle, I am very pleased with the cookers performance. It is solid very well made. So far I have made all my regular soups, celery, mushroom, vegetable, all in fifteen minutes ,Iv'e also adapted some of my usual Asian chicken recipes for the pressure cooker, curry is a doddle. Just two downsides for me no trivet included, the pan is very heavy I was surprised at just how heavy it was, and secondly the instruction booklet is very poor with just the basic guidelines, but these are minor quibbles, it's a great albeit pricey pressure cooker and I recommend it to anyone thinking of buying one, perfect for two, I bought a silicone trivet from Amazon that fits the cooker perfectly.Update. I am sorry to say that I am return the WMF pressure cooker as the lower handle that is attached to the base of the pot has become loose, I'm so disappointed and really surprised, so I'm choosing another brand.

For a long time I have being looking for a good, well built Pressure Cooker suitable for cooking a meal for a single person and most important it has to be easy to disassemble and clean.I saw thisPressure Cooker advertised on Amazon,I was wary at first because of the price (expensive). After reading the one very helpful review ,I decided to risk it and buy it and what a success it hasturned out to be.It is so well built & finished, spare parts are readily available,I see it lasting for a long time.Cooking with it is safe and simple and the results so far are all perfect.Thereare two negative points, because it is made of steel it is a little on the heavy side but remember as I said earlier "it's Well Built" and lastly you get no accessories with it.After checkingI found only one accessory available for this size pot,its called a Unperforated insert, I had one of these left over from a previous Pressure cooker which fits my new one and it is a must to have.So it you are looking for a Pressure cooker suitable for cooking for one or two persons and the price of this cooker suits then look no further.

Being a man I find cooking very difficult and complicated particularly if it involves more than two ingredients , so my mother gave a WMF pressure cooker plus the instruction manual .Is a very fast cooker ( so I can get more time on the wii ) and I can do dinner in 15 minutes .The best thing about it is the capability to a lentil soup with many ingredients ( more than 2 ) in 10 minutes flat .Is very very easy to clean ,but it needs a new sealing ring every 2 years or so.There are many recipes ( more than 3 ) that can easily be done , including chicken and lamb stews , apparently it even makes cakes and things that I have never seen before. Is a must for a simple man who is bored of take aways ,pizza and fry ups .

We have had pressure cookers for nearly forty years now and they are used daily, when the last one gave up we looked at these, and, not knowing of them but familiar with the brand, we ordered one, they are marvelous, so quiet, you don't know their on, they cook better than our old one and the gas has to be on it's lowest setting and still maintains the pressure. We now have four, two of the 3 litre, one of the four and a half litre and one of the six and a half litre, so we have an appropiate size for anything. Would thoroughly recommend these to anyone looking for a replacment or one to start off with. Will do wonders for your cooking and save on energy too!

I bought a (discounted) 6.5 litre version of this a month or so back, and was very impressed, but then had a hankering for a smaller model. So I've added this little gem, the overall price I paid for them both was £5 less than the combo set with 1 lid. It is great for smaller quantities, I still have its big brother for batch cooking, or larger quantities, but this is the one I'm now reaching for when I want to cook smaller quantities or veg to go along with a more substantial main course. Easy peasy to use and clean, a bit pricey maybe but worth it. Tasty food in a fraction of the time. Thoroughly recommend this range.

This is an excellent piece of kit. I use my large pressure cooker a lot, for stews, curries and a variety of meat dishes....excellent for the cheaper, tastier cuts. Years ago I used my pressure cooker daily and having another smaller one is returning me to the habit......it's great for the veg to accompany the meats. Being small it is also very quick as the pressure is reached very quickly and almost silently. One of the kitchen's 'little wonders'. You wont regret buying this.

I bought this pressure cooker last year for my son. It is just the right size for one or two people, excellent quality, extremely quiet in operation and very nice to look at too. It's been on my wish list for a good while nowHowever, since buying it the price has been yo-yoing between just under £100 and £142! One day it's one price, the next day it's £45 more expensive!!!!!! How is that? Other sites show the list price is only £124. Care to explain Amazon?

2nd review I have posted, first pressure Cooker I praised indeed. 15months on not so good, wouldn't get to pressure. Rang amazon and they have replaced it under warranty. 2nd cooker used this morning and seems good and slightly better than the last one. I am hoping this will be with me for years to come. Good kit so here's hoping its a better experience.

We had two stainless steel pressure cooker made in India before purchasing this one. They "screamed" and leaked all over our induction hob kicking off the auto switch off and spoiling food. This Pressure Cooker is precision German engineering. The cost is worth the quality it offers, highly recommend.

This 3 litre pressure cooker is just the right size for cooking a dish. We have used this to cook mixed dried beans porridge, dahl, Irish beef stew, chicken curry and even plain sweet potatoes. The cooker itself is in a very robust build, thanks to WMF. It is highly recommended.

This is an excellent pressure cooker. Not the cheapest but the quality is evident. I've had it a while now and use it daily; it's quick to come to pressure and cooks perfectly. Easy to clean too. I can recommend it - I'm confident it will give years of service.
