Very pleased with this frying pan pressure cooker. Although mine didn't come with a recipe book the small booklet which gave the relavant info for cooking times and how to use the cooker was good although I was a bit disappointed that the booklet made no reference to the frying pan cooker. I downloaded the Kuhn Rikon recipe book but at most there were only two recipes for this cooker. The cooker has a nice large area which is good for browning meat and it is so easy to use. I have always had a pressure cooker and had bought a 6ltr (not Kuhn Rikon) before buying this one and wished I had paid the extra and bought a kuhn rikon. There is no steam escaping and the cooker is more or less silent,no weights to bother with, simple!. I managed to download the Kuhn Rikon Quick Cuisine recipe book from a website, although the recipe measurements are 'cups' which I don't find an issue. The book has over ninety pages, many recipes for this cooker and lots of info regarding the frying pan cooker.

This is a quality bit of kit. People are afraid of pressure cookers due to copious stories from decades ago where the kitchen was blown up and granny was catapulted onto the roof!! Times have changed and it's a great way of cooking - quick and retaining all the taste and goodies. I do wish though that all these kitchen equipment companies would provide a decent recipe book with their products - they are charging lots of money for items and not bunging in a bit of PR material too. I can't see why they don't combine decent recipes in their instruction books and at least look as though they fully back the product.UPDATE - I've been using this since received and I can say that I am still really pleased with it.I would still highly recommend it. Now that we're into Autumn / Winter, it will really earn its money with casseroles, stews etc - meat comes out incredibly tender and the taste is all secured within. It seems expensive, but I've found it well worth every penny.

I have an ordinary Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker which gets a lot of use. Its only limitation is that if you want to make a thick stew it will burn onto the bottom unless you put the stew into a basin sitting on a trivet inside the cooker. This makes for more washing up, especially if you fry ingredients first in a separate frying pan. This non-stick pressure frying pan solves the problem. You can fry in it, then add other ingredients and liquid and lock the lid down. You need to get a thick stew up to pressure on a lower heat than when you are just boiling something, but this only adds a few minutes. You still get an exceptionally speedy, tender result. It is also excellent as a general purpose lower volume pressure cooker and you can use any sort of implement on the titanium non-stick layer. One of my absolute favourite pieces of cooking gear, and in constant use.

I'm absolutely loving this pan! I am a very enthusiastic pressure cooking convert and I bought this one to replace my Fissler which developed a fault after a few months. I wasn't sure about the size but actually this is the most handy size and shape because it comes up to pressure very quickly compared with larger pans. It's simple design is very user friendly, no dials, buttons or switches or anything like that to set, you just put food in, close the lid and put it on the heat. The button indicator pops up when it's at pressure and there are two rings on it for low and high pressure, you just have to get the heat just right to maintain the pressure. It's very efficient requiring very little heat to maintain pressure.Everything I have cooked in it has turned out absolutely perfect! I LOVE it!

Combines the pressure cooker with a frying pan style. Really useful cooking a variety of things. Obviously doesn't have the capacity of larger pressure cookers but since buying it have rarely used my larger capacity cooker since buying the Kuhn.It doesn't come with a trivet which is strange considering the cost but you can use a variety of things - see suggestions in "the pressure cooker cook book" or other online resources. When I read the descriptions I was confused did this have a non-stick lining. Well it doesn't have a teflon type lining but has a base of a different material. In practice frying things before pressure cooking (such as duck) I haven't had any problems with cleaning it after.Probably due to the overall quality of the pan. Really pleased I purchased it.

I've been using this brand of pressure cooker for over 30 years and think they're the best. I have several sizes, but like these fry-pan version the best as they don't weigh so much as the tall ones. You can get quite a bit in them. I mainly use mine for vegetables as I can pressure steam them by using shallow steamer baskets to raise them above the water level with the result that my vegetables are tender but not sodden. This is particularly valuable for things like swede, parsnip, butternut squash, celeriac and cabbage that can so easily become mushy. And, of course, they cook more quickly than mere boiling. Another plus is that these pressure cookers work very well on induction hobs.

I have been studying "Indian Cooking". Madhur Jaffrey uses a pot like this one saying it's her best. Took a while to find it and it seemed to "tick all the boxes " for a piece of equipment that I would find very helpful. Don't like lots of implements in my kitchen. So buying anything so expensive was exceptional for me. And it is expensive, but worth every penny. I have been using it a lot, cuts down on energy, time and I think hold in more flavor than conventional cooking. I also like the size.I had used pressure cookers before and indeed grew up with them. This one takes it to a new level, this generation needs to be introduced to the idea and at a better price. Great product.

Wonderful, this will soon become your favourite item to use as it's so versatile you will wonder how you lived without it for so long - well maybe the price is a drawback, but seriously you will not regret your investment as it saves so much time! We lead such busy lives and in the past when I was home late I use to think "I can't cook that now as it's too late, and it won't cook in time." But now I just get my Kuhn quickly brown and seal my meat, put the lid on, and hey presto by the time I've peeled and cook my vegs everything is ready - it's so simple to use too

This is really the best cooking pan I have ever used in 40 odd years. Best frying pan without a doubt and now an excellent saute-stew-casserole dish as well. It is beautifully designed and safe to use.Whilst it's not particularly cheap, it will be worth every penny. A joy to use! I'm completely delighted with this product.

You will need to change the top handle every year due to its poor choice in materials. It splits with regular use. I am on my third handle. Apart from this it's one of the best pressure cookers we have ever had, just be prepared to spend an additional £12 every year!

This is the best pressure cooker around. It's shape and size means that it's actually a frying pan that becomes a pressure cooker. The controls are simple with no extra bits and pieces to fiddle with. This is a replacement for one that I've had for twenty years!

Excellent quality and great results. This 'frying pan' styled pressure cooker is easy and a delight to use, giving great results. Easy to clean. I'm very happy with my purchase and it is a great complement to my larger 'stock pot' styled cooker. I'd recommend

I use this both as a pressure cooker and ordinary saucepan for making stews and curries. It is the best pressure pan I hae bought so far. Food cooks in minutes which saves on energy consumption.

This is our second KR frying pan, the first one had the teflon coating which is a bad idea on a frying pan as it eventually burns.Probably, the most versatile pan you will ever own.

This is a thick gauge pan for frying and then making a casserole in double quick time as it comes up to pressure very quickly. Kuhn Rikon is expensive but it’s top quality.
