First attempt was with 1 ham but I was immediately impressed with the unit. The ham, 750g, was in the Pressure King Pro 6 Litre 20-in-1 for about 40mins (10mins or so heating up, 30 for cooking). I put it in the middle of the copper pot, added various vegetables and some water to above the minimum level and turned the machine on.I love that it is completely silent in operation. No hissing, no bubbling, just a beep at the end of the process. Had I let it cool down naturally there would have been no other sound but as I was hungry I used the pressure release to vent the machine and bring the internal pressure down to a level at which it would be safe to open. The handy red button tells you when the pressure has safely subsided. The ham was perfectly cooked, although I might try it for a little bit longer to get it to completely fall apart when cut. I did reglaze it in the conventional oven for 10mins just for added colour. The vegetables and juices at the bottom will make a very nice soup today. With growing confidence I am going to cook a beef stew for some family and a beef brisket for some friends on Friday. Looking forward to eventually trying out pork ribs in a fraction of the time slow cooking in the oven involves. Wish me luck.3 week update : have added beef brisket, pork ribs, lamb shanks and 4kg (2x2kg) ham and borlotti bean with chorizo stew to my repertoire. Loving this machine. Each time getting better. The 4kg (2x2kg) ham joints were a particular success. 2hours in the pressure cooker meant they were fall apart tender. Everyone had their fill and guests were eager to take the remaining ham home to theirs.Lamb shanks were as good as after 6hours in a slow cooker but only took 50mins.Pork ribs after 45mins were perfectly good but I will do them for 1hr next time to ensure they are falling off the bone. Added them to the conventional oven for 10mins to give them a glaze.Borlotti beans and chorizo stew. Beans were dry, not pre soaked. From glass jar to serving plate after 40mins in the pressure cooker. Needed some sweetening onions or something to cut the acidity or sourness of the plum tomatoes.Deboned leg of lamb, stuffed with some garlic and rosemary, used red wine for the liquid, 4 chopped large carrots, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. 1hour of pressure later and it's falling off the bone and scrumptious.Auguste 2018 (5months in). I no longer consign the PKP to the cupboard when not in use. I cooknow most of my meals in it. Due to its size I cook about 2 or 3 times a week as I make batches and freeze them for later thawing and reheating.Favourite recipe so far is Feijoada which is a Brazilian Meat and black Bean stew. FABULOUS.

Received item today and did the simple mac and cheese recipy. I am disappointed with the instruction manual. It would be nice to know what each function is for. for example; I had to use a face book group to learnt the simmering option was the fry button. Could do with more details in the recipy book also. A proper step by step of the method would be nice. The first part was easy but then it stated to let it stay in keep warm mode for 5 mins before opening the valve which I did. Then the method states to add the rest of the ingrediants and simmer until sauce thickens? To me I was like does that mean keep it cooking on the keep warm function or what. I was advised by others to use the fry function (which I did).It would have also been nice to have at least one recipy for each of the functions, for example; there is no guide as to how to make yoghurt in this appliance which is one of the things I was interested to try. Would not have a clue how to use the cereal setting etc.It would also be nice if accessories and spare parts were made freely available to purchase. It is a pricey appliance so these things should be made available. So far I have only found the inner pot, a lid and a few other things. Being able to get a replacement rubber seal would be ideal as these things tend to deform over time. Accessories like egg holders etc things that are available for the instant pot (for example) would be a huge benefit also. I am contemplating buying a few of the instant pot accessories that i can find to fit my 6l pkp to use.It cooked the food lovely in the end, however, it took me about an hour and a half to do the whole thing considering the 5 minute countdown. The recipys should give a more accurate idea of the time it should take, taking into account the extra browning, getting up to pressure and simmering etc etc. For me it took a while for the pressure to build up, then you have to allow for the simmering which in all fairness took the longest. I do believe that this will still a lot quicker than conventional methods and time will probably reduce once I am more familiar with the appliance. However, the time it states in the recipy is not actually accurate. It is accurate for the timings it cooks when at pressure. So far I am happy with it and I am looking forward to learning how it works so that I can start experimenting with new food options. Hopefully, I will get a better feel for the appliance after using it for a few weeks :)

I purchased this again last year for my sister after using the product for over a year (since 2016). Must say this is a much loved and valued item in my kitchen for all obvious reasons. It allows me to batch cook faster healthier meals and even saving money on ingradients as some dishes will need less as taste is retained.Dishes like my kids favourite beef bolognaise requiring less chopped tomatoes and pasata as this pressure cooker retains the tomato taste and colour. This basically halved the amount of tomatoes I add. Used to use 3-4 cans chopped tomatoes and 2 tall pasata cartons cooking on hob. Now only 2 cans chopped tomatoes and just 1 carton pasata. But the taste is so fresh and the colour also doesn't change like on hob cooking. It stays a nice n bright tomatoe colour. Plus where as I used to let it simmer on hob for 1-1.5 hours, this cooks the beef bolognaise in 25 minutes to soften the beef well. I cook 6L of it and after dinner portion the rest into Phillips Avent via cups and freeze. As far as time to cook goes, this cuts the cooking time down quite a considerable lot. Like for example comparing with the hob top pressure cooker that my friend use to cook chick peas in 45 minutes, this one takes only 15 minutes to cook melt in the mouth chick peas. As the chick pea packet says normal hob top boiling takes hours of cooking which I was never crazy to try ??? So I used to buy cooked chick pea tins which costs a lot and never gives that freshly cooked smell.Plus I love how it looks and how easy it is to clean. This cooker is well worth every penny.

I love this cooker! i cannot rave about this enough it has completely changed how i cook everyday! I did a lot of research before buying this product as i was worried it would be something i would rarely use and would end up in my cupboard. I was very nervous to use it too at first as i was afraid of releasing the stream and burning myself (still am bit now!) . But after watching some video and reading tips I cant stop using this to cook! Its great for stews, whole chickens and joints and even sauces.I use to rely on my slowcooker for everthing but this does the same thing in a fraction of time. I don't follow any recipes specifically for a pressure cooker anymore but if your nervous using it the first time then follow one from the book provided and adjust the seasoning once its ready!I saw reviews about this pot complaining about the time it takes to warm up. I didn't find this an issue, it didn't really take that long and when you compare the time to heating an oven or boiling water takes you cant really complain. The only downside I have found so far is that they don't seem to sell replacements for the inner bowl and mine is a bit scratched already which makes it less non stick.pros--supper quick meals-less mess and easy to clean-easy settings for all types of cooking-pot is big enough for a whole chicken and most jointscons--no replacement inner potsA little tip i found useful- use a long wooden spoon or tongs to open the pressure valve

Amazing product! I bought the 6L option last week and I am so impressed! I've cooked 4 cups of beautifully fluffy rice in 7mins flat (including warm up and pressure time), I've cooked a lamb curry using frozen raw lamb, which took just 15mins and the lamb just melted in the mouth! (No defrosting or browsing of meat beforehand) And this morning I quickly made some lentil and split pea soup for a poorly 6 year old. This took 15mins start to finish, there was no sautéing, no stirring, no splashing and spluttering and I've managed to keep it warm till I fancy some for lunch. This is the smoothest lentil soup I have ever made as I normally get bored waiting for it to fully cook! 15mins and I had fantastic soup,a happy girl and I cleaned the kitchen whilst the PKP did its thing! I also made pasta bolognaise...softened the onion and browned the meat first then added a bit more liquid than usual and added the pasta, cooked for 15mins....no boiling the kettle and cooking on 2 hobs, nio splattering all over my cooker, and no adjustment of temperature which I normally have to do a lot with hobs! My husband has also been very impressed and there's hardly anything to wash up afterwards! This looks great on my work surface and will be my most used kitchen product. Will be trying a whole chicken this weekend :-D

This is brilliant I have bought lots of gadgets over the years and this is the best makes quick work of cooking, this is my second pressure king I have the smaller version too, but once you have used one you realise that you need two lol I hardly use my hob now, I love the fry function and the added size of this one I have cooked everything in this from stews to cakes stir fry’s bread all great it does take a while to get the hang of but after a while you will wonder how you ever managed without it, for busy working mums this makes life so much easier you can cook food in half the time it takes in an oven it has a timer so you can set it too start cooking and unlike a normal pressure cookerthat I have had for years you don’t have to stand around to turn down the pressure it is all automatic, just one bit of advise make sure you put enough liquid in, veg comes out great it takes 5mins to cook potatoes and soup takes no time at all, but be warned it is addictive and you will won’t a second one lol happy cooking

My friend recommended this piece of kit and I was sceptical at first. I used a stove-top pressure cooker years ago and it always scared me! This item. however, doesn't hiss angrily whilst cooking, the outside does not get scalding hot and it slots anywhere in the kitchen near an electrical socket. The fact I can leave something to cook with a timer means I can be forgetful and have faith that the gas hob won't have burnt a pan out or caused a fire or ruined tea. There are so many ways to use this, not just as a pressure cooker, and the enclosed recipe book has already given us good meal ideas. It is easy to clean, looks neat and I feel safe using it. Our large, whole chicken was cooked in half an hour and was so moist. I'm just off to make some chutney now...

I bought this needing a larger slow cooker but wanting the benefits of the other functions. I decided on Saturday to cook a full chicken I used a nando's coating was cooked to perfection in 30 minutes great for a fast meal with no hassle. On sunday I cooked a slow cooked Moroccan lamb I had been using a much smaller slow cooker and would struggle for enough room for everything, no such problem with the pressure king pro 6 litre everything fit with room to spare I set the timer for 5 hours (I thought it was might not cook I would leave the slow cooker on for at least 6 but would need closer to 8 to cook to perfection). The Moroccan lamb came out tender and juicy the potatoes were soft all cooked and tasting amazing.I would highly recommend this product.

I've had my machine for a few months now. I've used it to make cakes, cook chicken breast, make soup, stews, chilli and pasta Bolognese. It does a lot!I don't like the slow cooked chicken and prefer the old ways for this as it never seems to fall apart. However I do like it and I definitely use it!The best part for me is setting it off then leaving - i dont need to watch it incase it boils over etc and that I find awesome.I'm glad I got one - not tried anything too daring - although people can't believe I pressure cook cake and they taste as good as they do.It's trial and error but as a hit and miss cook I'm glad of the extra support in the kitchen from my PKP.Google and Facebook have lots ofsupport help and recipes

Made perfect risotto for 1st time ever, and now a few times more spent his and spit like old pressure cookers I got the 5 litre one as there's 3 of us big enough risotto makes enough portion size for us to have 3 med/smallish portions and what's left for the 4th serving does 2 of us for a lunch yum yum. Also did beef stroganoff and all enjoyed, I'm not to sure of my cooking with this as not really someone you used pressure cooker before so I'm still novice but EXCITED to try more. ONLY one grip my eyesight not good enough to read extra extra small print in small cook book supplied would need to be A4 paper size. Good recipes when you can read them.If not sure I would say YES TO PURCHASING.

Nice product at a fair price. The only flaw of this item is that the lid’s bracket should have been made stronger, it kinda gives you the feeling that will break easily because it’s made from plastic. If you are careful, that can be avoided. It comes with a small book with recipes which are really useful but anyway there any hundreds of videos on youtube if it’s not enough..The quality of the food is really nice, full of flavor. I just use the other day the Slow cook function and the meat was really tender and flavorful. The inner pot can be cleaned easily and I really appreciate it!Overall it’s a good product as long as you take care of it properly.

Well had an older rice cooker but not a pressure one, do a mix of beans all the time and soy bean usually is a pain but brown rice and other beans very quick in this one... the pressure cook option is very nice and rather solid built unit and no issues with pressure cook at all, tried pizza option and YES FINALLY!! italian thin crust that is nice and crispy which never got otherwise but pizzas are small but cook from scratch future idea not cut up a pizza...Very impressed with this over just the rice cooker but halogon oven otherwise the swiss army knife of cooking but this is doing superb in all areas and pressure cook in itself very nice...

Didn't open til Christmas day as was a present from me to me, disappointed to find my actual pressure king with a dint in it, yet the boxes were undamaged. So it was sent out like this. However it does still work, I've managed to make a fab lemon Drizzle cake in it, chocolate cake takes longer than specified time.. Mada a fab gammon in diet coke in it in around 40 mins npr.. Then finished it in the oven, looking forward to. Making much more! Though you need to. Make sure it's got no pressure in as inner pot will lift out with the lid if your not careful.. Not great when hot.

Was. Apprehensive at the start, and to be honest the instructions could be in a better order for use,To understand, the machine needs to heat up, then await pressure build up, before the timer starts. But the results are amazing, I started with too much liquid, but now reduce to the min.and working well.We all have different requirements, don’t give up on first attempt, keep experimenting, to your taste.Never use metal utensils, this could damage the coating* on the inner bowl.Easy to clean, and a extra helping hand to your busy life, a delight.

I have been wanting one of these for a long time. Our slow cooker broke and then we bought this and it is the best thing ever! It’s so easy to use. Food is quick to do but the meat is so incredibly tender. I never like cooking rice or pasta because the hob ends up being flooded and forever cleaning it when I’m cooking, this makes rice and pasta brilliantly - no more flooding the kitchen, yay! I am really impressed. Even if you don’t slow cook something and you’ve been out all day, you can throw something together within 20 minutes. Highly recommend.
