This set includes 4 slotted screwdrivers, PH1 and PH2. These screwdrivers are designed to be the toughest screwdrivers on the market. They have a striking plate at the top of the handle for hammering on the screwdriver, either to pry tiles off walls, chisel into bricks for fun, or try to get out screws that have seized up. The smallest slotted screwdriver doesn't have a striking plate. They also feature a hexagonal grip at the bottom of the handle, designed for spanners. This allows you to grip the screwdriver with a spanner to apply more torque for heavy duty applications. These screwdrivers are thru-tangs, so the screwdriver blade extends all the way through the handle, for added strength.Cheaper screwdrivers commonly don't extend through the handle, so can snap off at the bottom. This is very important, especially if you're using these to pry things apart. At their tool shows, they demonstrate them chiseling stone to dust with these, and they hold their shape. I haven't tried this, but I don't doubt it to be true. You can chisel stones and bricks, and keep using them to drive screws. You can get a set with PZ 1&2 instead of PH 1&2. I went with the PH set because if needed, I could use them with PZ screws without damaging them, but hammering PZ screwdrivers into PH screws is likely to cause damage. They also do a newer version now with a socket hole in the striking plate with space for a 1/4" ratchet, another way of applying extra torque.I don't generally like buying 'proper' screwdrivers, by 'proper' I mean screwdrivers that are fixed, without changeable bits. You use them, they take up too much space, they wear out, you bin them. I much prefer using a set of bits and a handle with some sort of bit holder. These are different though, and I think these are pretty much the only 'proper' screwdrivers I own. All the others just wore out, might have one or two others somewhere, but I don't use them. Since these will last, I thought it was a worthwhile investment, something my handle and bits can't do. I love these screwdrivers, although I only actually use two of them. I use the biggest slotted one mainly just for chiseling and prying, and the PH2 for general screwdriving. In terms of using them to loosen seized up screws, I always go straight for the impact driver to be honest, gets the job done easily. For me, these are mainly just for chiseling and prying. They are great screwdrivers though, and probably are the toughest ones you will find. If you want to own one set of screwdrivers, these are what you're looking for.Tech specs:Officially part of the Kraftform Plus 900 Series of screwdrivers AKA Chisel DriversSL 1.2x7x125mmSL 1x5.5x100mmSL 0.8x4.5x90mmSL 0.6x3.5mmPH1x80mmPH2x100mmThe sets also come with a plastic rack, which you can hang up and use to store the screwdrivers, if you want.

I would frequently use screwdrivers as chisels and before long i end up with smashed ruined handles or broken tips, so i decided to get these to protect the other screwdrivers, and to take a bit of abuse if im working round the car. I used them on my jeep, and bashed a good bit of rust out of the sills, and the screwdriver hasnt suffered at all, i then used the same screwdriver to fix some wooden apple bins, i used the big flat head as a pry bar, i hammered it in behind the board and pryed them off the bin, the tip is intact, the shaft doesnt bend, and the head that i was hitting the hammer is perfect, they feel really well made, there is a reassuring solidity with the screwdrivers in the hand, helped by the shape which makes it more comfortable. There also is a bit on the shaft for allowing a spanner to apply more torque this might prove to be handy in the future for removing stubborn screws and its a good thought.Wera has even included a free screwdriver in this set, although its just a simple small flathead, with no chisel head it does seem handy for changing plugs, the blade feels like its good enough quality for that job, definatley not for being hit with a hammer but it was free so i cant really complain about it.I like the rack supplied, it holds the screwdrivers really precisley and all up straight so that they can be removed easily, but it only has 2 holes at the top for mounting to the wall, so it didnt quite sit against the wall as tight as i would have liked but i put a screw with a washer in at the bottom and it holds much better. But the main reason for buying this was the screwdrivers and they are of superb quality.

Hexagon shaft blade thru handle. Can be gently struck to free screws with painted or burred slots. 12mm wide flared blade. 2mm tip thickness. Tip is shorter than usual. One component handle, not soft two component, easy to wipe clean. Strong, sturdy tool made in Germany by Wera. The Wera Catalogue states that some of the screwdrivers in this range have single component handles, which are the larger sizes available.Vessel screwdriver, dedicated chisel screwdriver information:No 970 MEGADORA chisel-type screwdriver. Made from high grade chisel steel. Tang thru shank with large end cap. Tile and brick chipping. Metal end cap for hammering. This is a chisel screwdriver and cannot be used to turn screws.Blade tip is sharp like a bolster chisel with two bevels. Photos; Padre 12mm cold chisel, roughneck claw hammer anti-vibe. I have bought many sizes of Padre cold chisels, roughneck anti-vibe, 16 ounce, claw hammer for chipping; masonry, plaster and render from amazon.co.uk. I do strike my expensive Wera slotted screwdrivers, only to remove paint filled, slotted screw heads or burred slotted screw heads so they can be removed easily.

This screwdriver has to put up with very rough handling from my side. The last one (I lost it unfortunately) had been with me for 10+ years being treated as a tool. One of the first things I did with it was chopping a 4" Nail and there is no mark on the blade to see. I have fallen in love with the Wera screwdrivers. For daily use I am using the stainless versions as they are very universal. For the rough bits of work it has to be the Kraftform Plus for me. And on the electric side there are the VDE versions. I tried other screwdrivers but split handles, worn or damaged blades made often very quickly an end to these attempts. Most of the time I only have to replace a Wera screwdriver as I lost it somewhere. And even the stainless ones being in constant use are lasting years and never leave rusty marks.

This is definitely one of the best screwdrivers available. I’ve been using both this Chiseldriver and the lasertip version for years. Both are great. This Chiseldriver is the tougher of the two, because of its 'Thru-Tang Blade' that means you can hammer it to loosen screws if required. However, PB Swiss still has the edge for slotted screwdrivers.Pros: Very comfortable in the hand. Ergonomic. Long lasting. High quality. Very tough!Cons: I’ve found PB Swiss definitely has the edge over Wera for slotted screwdrivers. The PB Swiss equivalent is the Heavy Duty SwissGrip screwdriver, which also has a thru-tang blade (PB 8102 D Series). If you need a slotted screwdriver, then PB Swiss is brilliant because the unique ‘parallel tip’ reduces cam-out. It's surprising how much difference this makes.

I am a fan of Wera tools, so knew the quality would be great a usual. Was caught out by the size of this beast or a driver. Thought the 200 mm was overall length, that is actually blade to start of handle. Total length was a little over 300 mm. The blade (head) is a perfect fit for the roofing/gutter bolts I use day to day for fixing down electrical containment, extremely snug fit and gets a very good tightness. Just feel sorry for the person that may need to under do it in future years. It is a nice feature to be able to get a spanner near to the handle to help with untightening stubborn older screws.Overall a robust screwdriver that I recommend, haven't had the heart to smack it with a hammer yet though far too shiny.

Usual high quality from Wera, The smaller drivers have the dual density yellow/black handle. This has the single density large black handle. This does not affect the grip due to the size. The handle has a larger hexagon bolster to put a spanner on for leverage. The handle has a steel cap fixed to the top of the screwdriver so can be hit with a hammer, very useful for stubborn screws.I find generally find Wera top notch tools and would recommend them to anyone. Wera are also very helpful should you have any queries/problems, a great company.

Hammer hits the N̶a̶i̶l̶ Screwdriver on the head!Well priced brilliant bit of kit! Well worth the money! Sits well in the hand and comfortable to use. Decent well crafted tools feel of outstanding quality. Have served me well for the few small jobs I've done with them since receiving. Magnet tipped ends have saved me many hours of frustration from loosing screws inside of machines! Will keep this page bookmarked to buy a 2nd set once I've wrecked the current.Stop looking and Buy these now you wont be sorry!

I am a joiner and often have to remove tough, old slotted screws in doors and window frames. These drivers are great as you can give the driver a few taps with a mallet while turning, which often helps to loosen the screw. I have had Snapon drivers in the past and can say the quality of these Wera drivers is just as good, for a much lower price. They will last you years as long as you don't use them for jobs you would use a crowbar for. They will lever and chisel within reason though.

Perfect for a wide range of tasks as it’s strong and well made. Feels great in the hand. I use it for industrial electrical installation and it’s perfect for levering big armoured cables. The tip is actually a little wide for roofing/gutter bolts but I carefully thinned it out with my angle grinder. The metal cap is also useful to use as you don’t damage the handle! Also did I say this thing is a beast!?

As a mechanic, the screwdriver is a multi-tool. its a pry bar, chisel, screwdriver, a pin pinch etc etc, so all my other screwdriver are ruined by hitting them, and the tips deformed, these havent, the tips are still perfect even after being hit with a hammer repeatedly for the last month, used every day, these are great, well worth getting, i love them. shame they dont stay yellow for very long xD

This is a beast of a screwdriver, it has taken everything I have thrown at it in its stride from removing tiles and grout to prying out a wedged metal plate. This Wera range of screwdrivers are excellent quality and have a lovely feel to them, you will not regret buying this as you will use it for so many different jobs and you'll be glad you had it in your toolbox.

7.12.2018

Good quality solid screwdriver to enabling you to use with a hammer or spanner if needed. it is also good to use in the hand and you can use it instead on messing up your VDE screwdrivers on non-electrical items, saving VDE screwdrivers for what they are to be used for. good general purpose screwdrivers, ideal for strip down maintenance of machinery.

8.2.2016

Good heavy weight drivers, with comfortable grips. I got 7 in the package, not 6 (correct product number: Wera 05018282001)...additional one was a PH3 x 150mm, which is almost half the cost of the set on its own! A nice surprise. Personally, the holder is a bit useless unless you intend to mount the set on a wall.
