This is quite a nice set for the money. My go to Allen keys have been Wera Hex Plus for a little while which I love as they're particularly good on rusted fasteners.I needed a new set of Allen keys for work and thought I'd give these a whirl as they're cheap enough that if I leave one behind, I'm not going to cry about it.I haven't used all of the sizes yet as most of the fasteners I come across are 2.5-5mm though I have also used the 10mm.The keys are a very tight fit on the fasteners which is what you want to avoid slippage. They are almost a little fiddly to get seated properly but this is a good thing really. The ball end bites well and makes life easier when working in awkward spaces.Theres very little flex in the keys, particularly on the larger sizes, I'm not sure what material they're made of but it's certainly a good quality metal. Other reviews mentioned that they rust easily which I can see as a possibility. They appear to have come treated with some sort of oil based coating to help prevent corrosion and while this feels a bit sticky, I will not be cleaning it off!The holder is a bit cheap and cheerful but holds the keys very securely. The set that these have replaced in my work tool box used to fall out regularly. And I mean regularly... Every time I arrived on site they would be scattered around my tool box... With the Bahco however, there is no chance of this happening as the holder is properly sized to keel them in place. The only negative to this is that at first, the keys can be quite difficult to remove from the holder, this does however ease up.Overall, for the money I don't think you'll better this set. I think if I could only own one set of Allen keys, I'd still stick with my Wera but then they're more than double the price! And the multi coloured finish isn't exactly to everyone's taste so these Bahcos are definitely recommended.

UPDATE 20/12/2020 - These are still going strong. With almost daily abuse over the last few years. Used not only for there intended purpose, but to help prise or align those bolt holes that are just askew. Ring spanners placed around it to give that extra leverage on those tight cap screws or smacked with a hammer. They've never let me down. Still not rounded the ends. I think my 6mm has an ever so slight warp to the length of it. But hardly noticeable. But that's to be expected. If anything i would have expected it sooner. I think if it ever comes to replacing these, I would purchase again with no hesitation. I'd say I still have a good few years left in the life of these.More chance of having to replace due to loosing them somewhere.31/07/2017 - Well known brand. Use them every day in my profession as a compressed air engineer. Used them offshore on oil rigs. Ships. Factories. On big and small applications. Some have had a good battering and still good to go with no warping or chewed ends.

Genuine professional quality: the keys fit into the fastener head precisely and don't rattle about. Each of the larger sizes ( down to 4mm) is marked with the size (and a Bahco logo, nice because it reduces the risk of anyone accidentally confusing these with their 'pound shop' kit). The 'ball head' end gives you around 30 degrees of flexibility to get into hard access areas: useful to have this option and still have a quality fit.The keys are a useful length: eg the 10mm one is perfect for getting torque on a bicycle crank arm.The keys are supplied in a simple but good quality plastic holder: you slide the keys in/out from the top: there is some resistance (so they don't just fall out in a toolbox). The holder feels like it will last, and there is a hole so that you can hang it on the wall (if you are into that sort of thing).Current pricing makes these less than half the price of comparable Wera hex keys: these Bahco ones are a bit of a bargain.

This is a great little set strong and compact , I have used this set a lot since buying and i am very pleased with it , I've bought my son a set as he is a professional mechanic he is also very pleased with his set , ideal for motorbikes , mountain bikes as they are compact enough to fit in a small bag , Also bigger things cars etcSome people have commented that they are very tight to release them from there holder , this is to stop them falling out accidentally when not in use like some sets do , just raise the smaller end slightly away from it's holder until the key goes loose then pull out of holder ,when putting back with the small end of key raised slightly from holder slide it in then press the small end of the key down flat against the holder and this will lock the keys firmly back in place , no more lost keys great little quality set for the money . I'm very happy with this very nice quality set . hope this helps .

The Allen keys themselves are of a very good quality. The short side is plain. the long side ball ended. The short side is particularly short. The long side is particularly long. This arrangement gives allowance for good accessibility and less likelihood of the key slipping out or distorting the fastener hexagon, plus good leverage. The holder, however, is badly designed. The keys are a very tight fit in the holder, which when used regularly, especially in cold workshop conditions, is a real pain. Literally.I have a couple of bahco socket sets which suffer the same criticism. Very good tools held in their holder way too tightly. The five star rating is for the tools, not the holder.

This will be my third set of these Hex keys (workshop, works van and home). Over the last 4 decades i've tried every make of Hex keys out there, from cheap chineseiums to the most expensive snap-on/Mac types, but these are without doubt (in my humble opinion) the best on the market. The only small complaint i could level at them is that they need to be oiled. After leaving a set out in all weathers (6 days) they started to show signes of rust, but a quick rub/wipe down soon sorted that.In 8 years i've broken 3 keys (10/8/5) all using a cheater tube to extend leverage.Last point, At this price, its really a no brainer.Wow. Just noticed they've dropped the price again.. hmm

I bought this as it was heavily reduced in price and I am not disappointed. Bahco are renowned for making quality tools and this Allen Key set is know exception however as I bought this as part of my portable tool kit whilst out cycling I found the set too long and too heavy having to really force it in to my tool pouch, so this set has now become one of my workshop tools. This is a very high quality heavy long series Allen Key set and held together in a very tight plastic housing. If your a lover of quality tools like me, and you see this set on offer like I did, you can't afford not to buy this quality set.

This is a really nice and high quality set of allen-keys. They are a nice lentgh of leverage, and so far I don't have any trouble with them slipping or rounding off.As some reviewers have noted, they are not stainless-steel, but stainless-steel keys are approximately double the price of these. So you decide what you want to buy, and pay the appropriate price.Bahco is a well-known brand with a good reputation. Even the plastic holder seems to be of a good quality.I am very happy with these. I should not need to buy another set of allen keys in my lifetime.

I like the fact it's a Swedish product, a bit of well-placed patriotism. Very good allen / hex keys that will hold up over time, as compared to those £5 sets that round off when you look at them sideways. The sizing is spot on, so connects snugly with boltheads. Also tougher steel by far than most bolts, so can take whatever punishment is thrown at the allen key. The ball end is also very precise.Only downside is that the holder is stupidly snug when new. This makes the keys hard to get out but also hard to lose.Overall a bargain for great allen keys.

When the product arrived the keys were very hard to get out of the orange plastic sleeve and had a sticky, grease like coating on everything. Once i got the keys out I washed everything thoroughly, the keys slid back into the pouch a little easier. For being so cheap I wasnt expecting much quality, they are decent. The sizes 4mm and under will degrade and ware very quickly. The 2mm and 1.5mm can bend quite easily so be careful. I am pleased i bought them they will do a job but will definitely need replaced at some pint.

I LOVE Bahco tools. Which I must reveal beforehand.I have so many Bahco tools and this product is the only one to fail me. One of the larger keys (8 maybe) snapped right off. In it's defense I was putting serious pressure on it, extension bars, the lot. So how it lasted as long as that was impressive, hence the 4 stars.AND all replaced with a brand new product under warranty (probably Bahco lifetime?)So excellently made, quality as usual however if you do intend on over abusing it then perhaps expect some breakages.

Not really much you can say about an allen key set but I purchased these as my old set was missing a few sizes, these are good as they have the ball on the end so you can get to the allen socket at any angle which is way better than struggling with the non ball end. They are also a trusted brand and i hope will last a long time. The holder is solid and should last a fair while as i don't use allen keys regularly. Lots of different sizes provided so it's doubtful you'll ever need any more.

Having been in engineering for over 20 years I have always coveted colleagues sets of Bacho Allen keys. When I saw these at £10 I thought I would treat myself. If you have used lesser sets yourself you will be bowled over by the fit of these in set screw socket heads, they just fit in snugly allowing you to wrench away without fear of slipping or rounding off. You simply can't go wrong with these tools at this price - looked after they will last a lifetime even with regular use.

Excellent quality Allen Keys in a very good holder. To all the numb nuts out there that think the holder is crap because you can't get the keys out, you'll struggle if you don't turn the key about 30 degrees first because the holes are designed to lock the key in so they don't fall all over the floor. Turn the key first and it comes out easily, putting the key back, slide it in at an angle and then push the key flat to the holder when you're done. Simples ;-)

I bought these for my Dad as a gift as I have a set similar which he likes to 'borrow' without asking haha. They come in a neat case so that you can keep all the keys together, but the best feature is the ball end and hex end tips, this makes them compatible for lots of different jobs and easy to use at a reduced angle. They feel completely solid (I'm a bit jealous that they feel better than the set I bought) and I am positive they will last a lifetime.
