If you are cursed with being "the person who has to fix stuff for people who then quietly point out they're related to you and so you get paid in hot beverages" the added bonus is that they often spring it on you. This will mean that you are at the mercy of their tools which will, inevitably, be the weirdest swappable bit screwdriver you've ever seen and probably a 75 year old file covered in generations of tetanus. You will then proceed to find at least one head was already stripped by them or "somebody else" having a go. Most likely you'll then try and strip another screw because they got the screwdrivers from the pound-like shop and they double as drill bits.Wera basically made the perfect Christmas present.Frankly you'll have to put up with one year of them looking at you like you gave them a slap in the face for Christmas but you'll have given yourself a much easier lifetime. I have now put up with "why have you given me screwdrivers" on several occasions and I find the response of "so there's a way to take apart your desk without using an angle grinder" usually shuts them up.Two Pozidrive, two Phillips, two slot. It's the set that will handle the stuff inside the house and a fair chunk of out of it. A tiny little monstrous part of my heart always pines for a larger Phillips and a larger slot instead of the two Pozidrives but that's because a) I'm the kind of disgusting slob who usually doesn't pay close enough attention to notice if the screw's got the extra cross and b) I am generally operating on the budget side of things from about 1980 so I feel happy enough to at least get a Phillips head on a screw.I was skeptical of the laser cut grooves at first. Then I used the screwdrivers and started pulling stripped and mangled heads out that I had thought I wouldn't have had a hope in hell of rescuing. A good 90 degree angle and a bit of forward force and they really do bite hard... and if you're a bit cackhanded like me that's a blessing when it comes to slots. The handles look a lot like my experiments with Polymorph when I was making fork handles for someone who had grip issues... Like someone made a big sausage and just wrapped their hand around it and squished... then someone made it a lot more elegant. I don't have the strongest hands in the world, there's arthritis starting up in there along with a whole load of other problems along with some nerve and muscle weakness stuff and I can use these screwdrivers to get screws out where I've tried with others and genuinely given up the day before. They're great for anyone who is either getting on a bit or just falling a part a bit or both like me and who still wants the control of a manual screwdriver.I won't lie... the little rack thing they come in is a bit bobbins but probably would have worked better if I'd stuck it on the wall of my shed instead of flinging it over my shoulder and chucking the screwdrivers in my toolbag.I've had them for over a year now and they see near daily use and might as well be mint. Like most tools they benefit from a coat of oil now and again but I've given out a several sets of these now and they're all still in perfect nick and after a while even the most eye-rolling recipient actually appreciates them once they uses them.

Professional quality screwdrivers, reasonably priced and perfect for the home. This set of six drivers give you a 'large' and 'small' option in Philips, Pozi and slot screwdrivers: enough options for most people (and if you need more, there are bigger sets available). The drivers are really well made, clearly labelled (so you pick the right one up first time), and importantly the handles are comfortable to grip. The handle end is rounded, which means the tool rotates easily against your hand: they are comfortable to use. The green/black colour makes them easy to see in a toolbox, or on the wall. If you put one on a table, they will not roll away, because they have a hexagonal collar design. This set features 'laser tips',this means that in addition to being magnetized, each one has tiny grooves etched into the tip - in practice this tiny detail make a huge difference: the driver tip 'bites' the screw so that it is less likely to slip out. It really works. The drivers are supplied in a good quality plastic wall rack, which means you are less likely to lose them around the home/ garage. One notable point about the rack is that it provides space for one more driver ( which I use for an electrical test screwdriver - everything in one place). The only drawback about these is that the second you pick one up, you know they are quality: so will your friends and family. So long as you can get away without lending them out, these should be the last screwdrivers you buy.

With screwdrivers, you either buy lots of disposable junk that will end up as paint tin pry bars, awls and general pokey things.Or..You pay a bit more, and buy the good stuff once. These are the latter.Yes. I know they cost several times more than half a dozen cheap ones. But you will end up buying the cheap ones many more times than you will buy these. So it works out cheaper in the long run.But enough philosoply.Sizes and types. 3 commonest types in most common sizes. In the few weeks I've had these, I've used them all. I got a 2mm slotted to fill the spare hole, as I do a lot of small work, and it's a handy size.Shape. The handles are strong, comfortable, and grippy. An often overlooked,or over designed thing.Steel. The most important thing. Absolutely brilliant. This is why buying hand tools from German brands is worth it. These are built to last, not to end up as pry bars in six months.Wera are a popular tool brand for people who earn a living with their tools. So they need something that will not let them down.Read full review...

Sick of rubbish tools. I make do with cheap stuff generally, as I don't use them often enough to merit quality, but I got really sick of poor screwdrivers rounding off both themselves and the screw I was usingdecided to get some really good quality bits for a ratchet screwdriver. WERA were the most expensive in the shop I visited, and they're a cut above the rest, but of course a ratchet socket won't get into a lot of places so I finally got round to paying for a decent set of screwdrivers toogreat handles, but more importantly great tips. The laser etching makes them bite and I wouldn't be surprised if these are being used after I am dead, they feel so solidthey may cost 4 times the price of a rubbish set of 6 drivers you get for 5£,but they will last 100 times longer and ruin a fraction of the screws. I would recommend to the amatuer - maybe a professional who does 500 screws a day could get something better, but I don't need that

Considering this set makes each screwdriver about £3 they're great value. These are by far the best screwdrivers I've owned and one of my favourite tool sets.Every cheaper screwdriver I've had end up only being useful for opening tins of paint because the heads wear so easily. I've had these for a year now and given them a good deal of use and they still look like new. As it should be, if anything gets damaged with a tricky screw it's the screw and not the driver. The handles are comfortable to use, stop the drivers rolling and feel well attached to the shaft. The storage rack is decent enough and screws to a wall easily. You wouldn't think it would make such a difference but the slightly roughed up tips grip screws so much better, especially with the flat blade drivers that usually slip around within the screw head.

I am a little OTT when it comes to "the right tool for the job" and always make sure I am using the correctly type and size of screwdriver for the job in hand. My current screwdrivers were of a medium quality but ageing a little so I treated myself to these. Wow, what a difference. They really grip the screw and it's only ever my enthusiasm that causes the screwdriver to jump out of position.I didn't realise quite how well they gripped until I used one of my older screwdrivers (it was closer at the time) on a very tight screw. I had to push so hard in that I didn't have the position to then also turn it hard. I swapped to one of these and "hey presto",I barely needed to apply any inward pressure at all.Highly recommended!

I decided to replace a lot of sh*te old tools with some new ones. For 'normal' screwdrivers I decided on Wera as they seem to have good reviews. First impressions are good - Nice to hold in the hand, they feel like a quality tool. I don't know whether the 'lasertip' is a gimmick or makes a difference but they do seem to grip fasteners very well. I have a magnetiser but haven't tried it on them yet.Time will tell if they are prone to wear, but I have confidence they will last well. I will update this review if I find any issues with them. The only minor point is that it would be nice if the handles were fully colour coded rather than just on the top - would make it much easier to grab the correctdriver from the drawer.

I bought these about a week ago to add to my tool chest along side some Facom ones I have had a long time... even though these are still new I have found the Laser etching tips do give excellent grip! with PH they have great grip not even trying to slip out of the screw heads, The flat tips are just as good and the handles are a real boost! good feel in the hand and nice twisting torque without trying to hurt your hand etc.. my Facom do have the large grip also but these beat them hands down! Well recommended....Just a note to say I am a professional Field Service Engineer and have used most makes inc Snap On etc...This set is well worth the money. Well done Wera!

I love these. They have good solid handles, and the Kraftform grip is really comfortable when using them for long periods of time. I also really like the lasertip on these. It might be a little bit of a placebo effect, but I definitely feel these grip a bit more, and don't seem to strip any screw heads. This is a great pack with 2 Pozi, Phillips and Slotted. I don't think you can buy better screwdrivers, and for around £20, or about £3.33 each, these are amazing value for money. If your a pro, you know that quality tools are essential, but even for a keen DIY'r, these are worth the money!

This is a nice quality set of screwdrivers with good ergonomic handles and well finished points. However if I had my time again I would have bought a set of Stanley FatMax screwdrivers which I think offer several significant advantages; firstly they are more comfortable and balanced in the hand, crucial if you have a big job on, secondly they are colour coded so that it is easy to distinguish a Philips from a flat head, and finally they have a hole that allows you to insert another screwdriver to increase torque. The Wera are a good set of screwdrivers, just not my favourite.

Ok they are expensive but are they worth it, hell yes. These are some of the best engineering tools I have ever held, I simply don't get the bad reviews, these screwdrivers are way above anything else available on the market. You can just feel the quality when you use them. I have worked in engineering for over 40 years and these tools rate among the best I have ever used. Do not hesitate, if you want screwdrivers for home use, get these they'll last a life time. Yes the holder is a little light and could do with a fastener in the bottom portion but over all 10 out of 10.

9.10.2015

Excellent moderate duty screwdrivers and the Lazertip really makes a difference. The set contains: 0.8x4mm slotted (100mm); 1x5.5mm slotted (125mm); PH1 (80mm); PH2 (100mm); PZ1 (80mm); PZ2 (100mm). I added a 0.5x3mm (80mm) to the empty rack slot to provide for small terminals.Only annoyance is that the screwdrivers can only be identified by the tip or the small marking on the end, which often means I end up pulling out the wrong one if I can't see either of those clearly. My heavy duty Bahco set is colour-coded so I never have that problem with those.

Working in a professional automotive environment I want the best tools to provide me with reassurance they will not fail and fail to perform . I buy a lot of snap on tools but found these to grip 50%better than snap on and have a much kinder on the hand handle. The laser tip works effortlessly in gripping the fasteners and doesn't cam out and round off the head which unfortunately snap on do as they have no laser tip tools. These are the 3rd set I have bought along with the torx and standard screwdrivers. So good I no longer use the snap on screwdrivers!

2.12.2015

These are the normal high quality that you can expect from Wera tools. I already own a few of their tools, and intend to work through many of my commonly used tools and replacing with Wera. These are a great price too. Don't waste your money on anything cheaper. They will be cheap for a reason. These will last a lifetime. I especially like the gripper coating on the tips to protect against slip outs..Not sure why they didn't just fill the empty hole though and give us a full set!! I'll just buy another Wera screwdriver though and pop it in there.

Very happy with this purchase, excellent grip, fits greatly to screw head. I have already used three of already them and managed to tighten screws more than with my previous screwdrivers. I come across this brand in the past by chance, I had one PZ4 for ages and decided it was time to get a good set. Holder is a great feature, there one spare place which I am going to fill in with PZ3.--After several months I am extremely happy with the set, I bought extra one of different size (PZ3) and put it in the empty slot. Best screwdrivers I ever owned.
