I purchased this kit for my hubby as a cheer up present for his post holiday blues after coming back from a month in Australia to UK January winter. It worked immediately. He was like a little kid playing with a new toy set.All the tools are good quality. The case gives incentive to put things back where they go, which is great for wives or housemates. Screwdrivers in the kitchen and lounge room don't make nice ornaments although some blokes would disagree. There¡¦s a really cool twirly thing that you can use to screw around corners. Hubby¡¦s already tested it out and loves it. There¡¦s a long magnet thing in the shape of a pen that opens out in length like a radio antenna. You use it to pick up screws and stuff that you¡¦ve dropped down a nook and cranny where you can¡¦t reach. The magnet is strong too. Other than that all the usual different sized and headed screwdrivers and stuff. Excuse my technical terms. The only reason I gave this a 4 star was because I think the case is a little bit soft on the inside and one of the screw drivers (the biggest one) could fit a little better. But its ok and shuts perfectly and I¡¦d still buy it again for myself or as a gift. The price with the quality is excellent.Well worth the price and a very handy accompaniment for anyone¡¦s tool kit.Hope this helps ºkc

My Christmas present to myself. For years I have had a mixture of poor quality screwdrivers with ends mashed because they were not fit for the purpose. After borrowing my son's set (again!) I looked at the options available. Draper is a recognised quality brand, and this kit seemed to have all the sizes and kinds I would ever likely need. They are magnetised - so handy already - and there is an extending aerial type implement (also magnetised) for picking up that elusive screw that has fallen down behind the unit. A flexible clip-on attachment will help when trying to fit screws in tight fairly inaccessable spaces or around corners. And at the price.....! Excellent value.July 2012 I have now had this set for over 2 years,Many items have been well used , many have not (and maybe never will) been used. However the fact that everything is so neat and tidy, and obviously of excellent quality makes me so annoyed I didn't buy such a set years ago. The well used items are totally unmarked, unlike cheap tools.May 2014 Now about 5 years from purchase. Still effectively like new (except screwdriver handles getting dirty) Many items not used, but better that than not having one you need! Excellent value!

This is a great set. The tips seem to be of good quality, the handles are grippy and comfortable. Phillips are coloured blue and flats are coloured red, there's also a marking on the end of the handle so you can see which is which when you're at the same level, which is handy if you're lying down and forget which colour is which. It also comes with a set of fairly small precision screwdrivers, bits, a magnetic bit holder, a flexible driver and a small socket set, as well as an electrical test screwdriver. It's very satisfying to be able to take the case, which is also well made, to wherever it's needed and be sure that you'll have the right driver to hand immediately. The handles are not made of a hard plastic, but rather a sort of rubbery plastic. Don't worry, they're still very rigid but it means that you won't lose your grip on the handle if you're applying a lot of force. One tip, if you use the screwdrivers with dirty hands/gloves, they can pick up some of the dirt. I've found that cleaning them with washing up liquid or orange swarfega hand cleanser cleans them restoring the colour and also making them as grippy as they were when new.

For those expecting the best quality and highly durable tools; maybe look elsewhere. For me these tools make a great addition to the house for odd things. They seem to be fairly well made. The "bendy thing" that lets you go around corners is fantastic!I can tighten the toilet seat now without having to dislocate parts of my hand and arm.The magnetic extendible wand "thing" is powerful enough to pick up a pair of kitchen scissors.I'm not a DIY type so I have no Idea of the names of most of this stuff sorry. But it seems to have a lot. The picture is accurate and if anyone had any questions I would do my best to answer.I've not tried the one that's supposed to light up if you touch a live contact...I'll refrain from purposely sticking it in a socket.Update:I've noticed that, in one situation with a high torque scenario; the handle on one of the large drivers does seem to slip a bit on whatever is inside if you don't grip it quite tightly. Still 4 star though as 4 star means "I Like it" which, for the price, I still do.

Bought this set to supplement my tools. Reading the reviews made me purchase this set amongst other similar products. I was not disappointed. The tools look good quality and the case is a bonus. A few jobs so far and they look like they will last a long time. I love the bendable attachment - handy for the hard to reach places / hex screws etc. There are a couple of gripes, but I have not docked any stars as they are minor. One is that the black coating on the end of the screwdrivers started to wear off immediately, something I hoped would not occur straight away. Another gripe is that the largest flat head screwdriver does not slot in to the case and therefore every time I open the case,it falls out. This is die tot the moulding in the case not designed for the largest screwdriver. A bit of a pain but I guess it does not reduce the rating of this product for me.I'd recommend this to the average DIYer as well as those who are looking for new set. Brilliant piece of kit at an exceptional price.

This set offers superb value, particularly at the reduced price of about £16.00.The range of tools contained within is excellent, and they are of a quality that I am sure will (if used properly) gives many years of use.I particularly liked the rubber grip handles on the screwdrivers; very comfortable and quite different than any others in my collection. It can be handy to have a screwdriver that has multiple attachments, this very much seems to have become the increasing trend over the last few years (undoubtedly to take up less room and keep costs down), indeed this set itself does include such an item! However, there is something to be said about having individual screwdrivers of each type required; I also think there is a good chance that they may be stronger than the interchangable design. The case supplied is sturdy and well laid out, it is blow moulded and the items fit in place snuggly enough to give me hope that they will remain in place during transit.Well done Draper!

Having wasted loads of money on previous screwdrivers which wear out easily, this set is money well spent. As expected from a make like Draper, the screwdriver tips are chrome vanadium and magnetised so will unscrew screws with ease and without damaging the head. Being magnetic means you can offer / extract screws without them falling into some obscure unreachable crevice! The handles are rubber for maximum grip and colour coded with corresponding info and symbols on sides and top to aid easy identification of correct size/type.There are screwdrivers of all sizes, including a precision set as well as a magnetic telescopic pickup tool, electric mains tester and flexible twisting driver for getting to those awkward screws/bolts at tight angles! All conveniently supplied in a blow moulded case means you can use and then store away your set without losing items or misplacing them.Great value, especially at this price.

I was looking for a screwdriver set that came with a nice carry box and covered the common sizes of both philips and pozi with one-peice screwdrivers. This was one of the few sets I could find that fit the bill, with the plain screwdrivers covering phillips from 00 to 3, flat blades from 1.5mm to 8mm and torx from T8 to T20. This covers most of what you are likely to encounter frequently at least in the UK. The bits extend the range further covering larger sizes of torx and pozi.On the full-sized screwdrivers there is a handy color coding of the phillips, pozi and flat-blade drivers. Sadly this doesn't extend to the precision screwdrivers. The flatblades let the set down a bit, IMO.They are the cheaper style with tapered faces rather than being curved so the faces are paralell at the tip. The sides of the screwdrivers are also tapered, forcing use of an undersized screwdriver on recessed screws.

Bought this to replace some old tools. I wanted a set for general use around the house without spending a fortune. There were several more expensive sets around which I am sure will do a excellent job but for the price these represent good quality and value.Comprises a set of Phillips and flat head screwdrivers aa well as a socket and bit set giving all the sizes you should need. Also a set of smaller screwdrivers. Attachment for screwing round corners, not sure how often it will be used but it seems to work well when tested. Also has a handy magnet pen which expands so that you can reach screws, nails that may have fallen down cracks/hard to reach places.Like the other attachment it may be sparingly used but still a handy tool. All come in a sturdy carry case so keeps all items secure and tidy. All good quality and ideal for general Diy without spending a fortune.

I was looking for something to get my partner for his birthday. Seen as he is always upgrading his PC or modding it i thought he could do with some proper tools! and these are PROPER tools :) I came across this glorious item, it was perfect. It was what it said it was. A good item for hardware junkies alike but also i say its handy for any other type of handy work. All the pieces are magnetic which i was actually looking for and they are very high quality as expected by Draper. There is a vast range of screwdriver heads and sockets to match anyone's needs. The grip is comfortable, you feel like you got it under control. He was very happy and so was I. It's a well made, sturdy product.Very handy box small enough to store away. Very reasonably priced for the quality :) 5 Stars :) Girls any man who likes tinkering would love this. I recommend!

I have always purchased Draper tools and these are to their normal budget standard. The set contains almost every combination of screwdriver you may require and the case is an excellent way to ensure no pieces are mislaid. This set is not of the quality of (for example) CK but then you are not paying CK prices. The only parts that are obviously cheap are the case and the handles on the larger screwdrivers. Although the handles give a good grip and are comfortable in the hand they dont have the same quality feel of say a CK screwdriver. The case is of lightweight plastic and I suspect my crack or split easily with use. However, the hinge is a proper one (not just a flap of plastic)and so should last a while. If the contents are to the same quality as my previous Draper purchases I am sure they will give me many years of trouble free use.

**EDIT** After 3 yearsSo I've had this 3 years rolling on to 4, and it's only now starting to wear (As in, the grip on ONE Phillips is loose). Now I wouldn't go ahead and say it's a super-high quality set, because it's not. But it is durable. No problems with heads chewing up, magnets still strong, nothing missing, still looks clean and new.I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for high quality tools. But it's £20. For everyday things, I'd recommend every home having a kit like this. Instead of searching the house for a screwdriver that probably won't fit the screw, this kit solves 95% of home tasks. It's ridiculously useful, if you have no tools, get it. If you have an old screwdriver lost in 'the Man drawer',get it. If you use tools regularly, maybe get this but look at expensive kits too.

For under 20 quid this is unbeatable value. There's so many useful bits and drivers in this kit. Handles are good grip and there are a couple of nice touches such as the screwdriver that works around corners and in tight spaces. Plus the addition of a highly useful telescopic magnet for fishing out steel washers and small screws when they drop down somewhere totally inaccessible except to a hobbit! The drivers all seem pretty good strength so until I can find one that snaps in use I can't do other than give the set 5 stars. You could almost use this set to perform emergency dentistry if you were marooned with it on a desert island! There are more bits than I've ever seen screws or bolts that they fit !!So 5 stars so far and remarkably good value.

I got these as part of special-price package that was being offered, so not an originally intended purchase. I am very happy that I did get them. Your screw-driver choices are pretty much catered for, the only omissions I see would be stub-flat/Philips screwdrivers - something you almost never need, but in select situations are indispensable! Initially I thought the 'multi-segment 'snake-like' attachment little more than a gimmick, but turns out to be incredibly useful - though not ideal, it was the only way I managed to remove some almost inaccessible screws where there was only room for stub-screwdrivers. There is also an excellent range of 'hex' bits, which car manufacturers seem to be using more and more.

After getting through lots of cheap sets of tools I decided it was time for a quality set - but still with restricted budget. This toolset came up in an Amazon lightning deal during Black Friday last year and I have used it "in anger" since. There is a tool for almost all basic home tasks you might need to perform - including an extendable magnet which I used when dropping a tool piece into a tight spot my hand couldn't go down.So after almost a year of use not a single tool has snapped / broken and I have not been frustrated at not being able to perform a task when the tool breaks!Highly recommended for those on a budget.
