I hesitated buying this because I considered it to be fairly expensive, and also there were some negative reviews about the long extension popping out etc. Anyway I decided to risk it, and I am glad that I did.It is so easy with screw drivers that have multiple tips to lose the tips. I really like the way all of the tips are securely clipped to the hub and the hub is hidden inside the handle. You press the large button on the end of the handle and it pops open, you can safely change the bit without dropping them all because they are securely clipped in place (I was working up a ladder) and then close the handle again to protect them.Pressing the collar firmly on the front of the screw driver causes the extension bar to pop out and lock into the out position. To push it back in again then you need to press on it whilst pressing the collar in. If things are too tough to screw by hand then pressing the collar firmly for a second time will release the magnetic extension bar and you can load it into a drill or electric screwdriver. The handle is nicely moulded and is comfortable to use without hurting your hands, and it has a shape that won't easily roll off the bench when you put it down.In all, it is an excellent tool, well designed, and worth the price that I paid for it.

I love the workings of the screwdriver and enjoy the compactness of it in my pocket when folded down. I got some Wera diamond dusted PZ2 & PH2 bits as well and they really grip while the dusting lasts. It will wear off one day and demote the bits to just regular bits, but they work nicely while it's still there. What I'm not so happy about is the riddiculous naming/numbering scheme of these Wera tools altogether. I thought I was buying the compact screwdriver with the bit locking mechanism without redundant Torx-bits from reading the product description both on Wera's and Amazon's site and I end up with the strip-down version of the screwdriver with only a magnetic bit-holder and a bunch of redundant Philips bits.Ah, well. I guess should not expect a larger number in the product name means more features! On a positive note though the magnetic holder does have alot of holding power in it and is narrower than the mechanical bit-locking head so the driver fits into smaller gaps, but you will lose some bits esp. if you use Torx-bits in cramped quarters.

This was a replacement for basically the same screwdriver which has been my driver of choice and in daily use for about three years, still a good working screwdriver but the internal bit storage divisions have begun to break off and the bits fall out of the handle so it's relegated to the tool bag..The only difference is that this one has the plain magnetic bit holder instead of the quick release/locking bit holder. This suits me as the one issue I had with the original was the bit holder being a bit 'fat' for tight fitting places. It's an incredibly versatile screwdriver kit with the two stage extending shaft and your choice of bits if you don't like the supplied set.Very comfortable grip in line with all Wera drivers. The magnet in the bit holder is strong and the bits are a snug fit.

An excellent mid-sized screwdriver that accepts all standard hex bits of 6.2mm (1/4-inch) size, 6 of which are internally stored. It was purchased as an addition to one with a ratchet attachment which was recently mislaid but later located. As the bit-holder portion is both collapsible to make it almost a 'stubby' capable of working in more confined spaces and removable in the event that you wish to replace it with a flexible or longer version.Although the handle is hard and with no soft 'flex grip' portions, the design has proven very acceptable even in some difficult situations. The green inserts provide some of the benefits although quite smooth and non-textured. The unusual shaping, exclusive to the brand and range, is surprisingly comfortable in the hand and effective.

Other reviewers have probably covered most of the points about this item but the one thing which I think is worth telling potential buyers is that in order to extend the shaft you just give a quick push with the thumb on the collar around the shaft, but to retract it you have to press very hard using the thumb of one hand and the finger on the other hand, and this is something which I why didn't realise was the case and at first I thought it was faulty. The main thing I like about it is that in effect it allows you to carry 6 full size screwdrivers in your pocket because you can choose from any of the six bits which are stored in the handle, and because the shaft collapses down it's a lot shorter and a lot less sharp without a bit in it.

I have a selection of screwdrivers by Wera but I was looking for a compact all in one multi-driver with interchangeable tips. This product is simply fantastic! The handle is full sized and comfortable to hold featuring rubber grips. The shaft is spring loaded and retracts back into the handle allowing you to use it as a compact unit or with the shaft extended fully for more reach. The 6 bits are held inside the handle in secure but not difficult to use clips. The handle pops open via a nice solid push button on the top, which will not be pressed by accident. This is a quality tool and will take permanent place in my rucksack or tool bag for when I don’t want to take a full set of drivers out withme.

A really good quality tool. I particularly liked the gift box and labelling, very fancy if you are giving this as a gift. It packs up really small, with a spring loaded extending shank - released easily with a spring loaded collar. The tool bits and extension are of good quality and the screwdriver feels comfortable in the hand. I have used this all over the house and keep it in my pocket at work.I have since bought a second one as a gift.I have rated 4* for durability as the mechanism to eject the shank now shoots the shank out of the screwdriver instead of just extending it. While this is fun, it is not ideal in every instance!

I'm a caretaker and I see little jobs while I'm walking around every day. Having gotten tired of walking backwards and forwards to my store for tools I decided to go looking for some kind of multitool I can keep on me.I didn't need pliers or knives so I started to look for compact screwdrivers and that's when I found this gem.Great build quality, robust, good selection of bits, small enough to have in a pouch on my belt and barely notice it's there.Absolutely perfect.

This is a handy little tool for on the go screwdrivering needs. Pretty well made, Im not exactly careful with a lot of my tools and so far this one hasnt broken on me. As with any tool that functions like this, there is some wobble in the extending parts, which isnt really a big deal once you accept it. The screwdriver can still do any screwing tasks I've needed to perform except maybe using a flathead as a prising bar, which isnt exactly the intended purpose anyway.

It's slightly bigger than I originally thought, which is a good thing. I'm an engineer and put tools through their paces. Although this won't hold up to people using it as a chisel, people who use it for it's intended use will find it's a handy peice of kit. Wera also sell the bits as separates so you could customise it to your requirements. I haven't done that. I've used it straight out of the box. Regularly too when I'm on the shop floor. I do like Wenga tools.

Not much else is available that 'pops up', like this and therefore takes up less space than a standard screwdriver. I like that this is extendable and my primary reason for purchasing which is that the 'bits' are kept onboard rather than (as I do), leave them in various places around the house never to be found again. It feels pretty strong, but I feel it's quite expensive for what it is. Time will tell if the build quality is what justifies the price.

Super convenient to have, very durable and sturdy. There is a button to press at the bottom of the handle so it expands with bits to choose from, select your bits to use and then attach it at the top, you can also expand that handle too by pressing and holding down the green base at the top.The pieces are magnetized, so you don’t have to worry trying to focus balancing the screws, this was helpful when I was fixing my ASUS ROG laptop!

This is a useful tool, carrying on board a good variety of ends. The ability to have a long or short handle may have its uses but for me the long handle provides the greatest torque. I suppose for a restricted access situation the short version would be of benefit. One nit picking criticism would be that double ended bits would provide double the range of uses!Well made robust piece of kit, recommended.

Pros:Driver and bits all excellent quality.Good selection of bits for everyday use hidden in handleErgonomically very comfortable to useShort enough for use in confined spacesExtendableGreen colour really stands out amongst other toolsCons:Seems to appeal to light fingered sorts and on my second one alreadyIf this review was useful, please click the 'Helpful' button. Great product. Extremely well designed and amazing value for money. I had to swap out the bits to better fit my needs but that’s no issue. Carry this everyday for work. 100% recommend, the handle of the tool is in 2 pieces and doesn’t feel super tough so not up to abuse, as long as you treat it well it’ll serve well
