I'm just jumping to the defence the pan - this is a traditional pan - countless spanish families own one of these. It just needs a bit of simple care to look after it. Yes it's carbon steel and this needs a nice layer of baked on oil to seal it and stop it rusting. Even if you do let it get a little rusty it can be restored whereas non-stick when it goes is a nightmare and expensive too. Don't be put off by the negative review, although it does make a good dinner gong that bit is true.

Really beautiful pans. Good heavy finish but not so much they cant be handled easily. Look so good on the table. Be mindful of the handles getting hot, but a bit of common sense! Washed well, wiped down with oil they are as good as new.Super fast delivery, well packaged.

I had to send one back because it arrived dented and scratched. Returns though are amazingly simple and a new one arrived the next day, packaged completely differently and was perfect. Maybe it depends on who boxes it up? Huge pan, really pleased with it.
