Pan arrived no problem, seems fine, havent roasted chestnuts yet but sure it will do the job.Simply looks like a small frying pan with holes in the base, conditioned it with oil so nicely blackened. If you wash it then leave it, it will rust so treat it like you would a wok.At £13 plus with postage seems a bit pricey for it but compared to some its cheap I guess. I'm happy with it and confident it will give many years service, its guaranteed for two years anyway, if you like it, then buy one

It works. Of course it is not stainless steel, so it will blacken and buckle on the fire, but it will do what it needs to do: roasting chestnuts. It does it safely (the handle is firmly bolted), too.

Perfect for roasting chestnuts on an open fire. (We have not tried using it on a hob).It does not buckle at all and the handle remains cool to the touch so you don't need to use gloves to hold it.

As was bought as a Christmas gift the roaster hasn't been used yet. It looks sturdy enough but I'm personally not sure about the green painted handle as it makes it look a bit on the cheap side

These pans are perfect for an open fire but they did not work outside in the cold on the top of a gas BBQ with a grill. We eventually cooked the chestnuts on the top of the BBQ grill.

I was unsure about this when I ordered this , but for roasting a constant supply of hot chestnuts at a couple of community events it was first class
