The adapter installed and works quite works without problems, and has proved to be of good value, USB transfer rate has decent for a small device like this, Little tip, I have seen people marking this product down because you can't set 5GHz in windows, This is false and these people do not know what they are doing, You need to change you're internal router settings and set the 2.4 and 5GHz bands have different identifiers, Im on talktalk so example would be set 2.4 GHz to something like "TalkTalk 2.4ghz" and the 5 GHz to "TalkTalk 5ghz" windows will then see you're router with 2 channels and you can then choose what channel you want to connect to in Windows.

When my landlord fitted a new carpet in my house, I didn't want to rip it back up to run a cable to my bedroom. I've never been a fan of wireless so chanced this adapter to see what it was like after reading the reviews/ the cost... All I can say is WOW! Strong signal on both 2.4ghz + 5ghz bands but the speed is best on the 5ghz band (avoids interference but less range) . I now get my full fibre throughput speed + a D/L speed of 4.7mb p/s on Steam and a happy landlord at the end of my tenancy!

I got this for my desktop pc. I prefer ethernet but that's not an option at present. The TP-Link AC600 worked straight out of the box for me, though, & it's worth noting, I plugged it in, Win10 recognised it & activated straight away. Installed included TP-Link software. The speed 'only' 180-244meg. Web pages slow & gaming diabolical, crashes. After 2 days, the dongle refused to work, so I reinstalled it but without the TP-Link software. It's been happily running everything at 400+meg since.

I needed to make our computer wireless as it was stuck in the living room near the hub. During lockdown my son needs to do his school work but so many distractions downstairs. (Inc his 2 year old sister!) I wanted to move the computer upstairs in his room. I did some research and came to this product which I wish I had found months ago! The computer is now in his room with the hub downstairs. The speed is adequate for him! He can play roblox without complaining now so it must be ok!

Although it's supposed to have Linux support, I had to use Google to find how to use this dongle in Linux, ( OK if you have a fair amount of computer knowledge ). No problem with Windows 10. Adapter is quite sensitive and works well, especially if used with USB extension lead, which enables you to place it in a favourable position. Otherwise it could be "hidden" from the signal by your laptop or desktop computer case. Used with old laptop whose 802.11g wi-fi adapter was not fast enough.

I have a rather elderly PC that was top of the range when I bought it and still works well as I have updated the software periodically/. But Internet access had become unstable so I decided to buy a new dongle and procured this one. It seems to work very effectively: there have been no issues with it so far, two weeks in; and the design is neat and very unobtrusive. It was not quite as straightforward to install as the instructions suggested but I managed to sort it easily enough.

I brought this for my desktop which is located upstairs whilst my router is downstairs. It looks like it will plug and play for most devices but due to my internet serving two connections (2.4ghz and 5ghz), the device was switching between the two. This caused the connection to constantly drop. I rectified this issue by changing the configuration of the driver (only allowing the device to use one connection). Once this issue was resolved, the connection was strong and worked well.

The dongle offers a fast and reliable connection as the one in my Surface Pro 4 has become very unreliable.I just plugged it in and it works without having to find/install drivers. One consideration for tablet usage is that it isn't the smallest (not nano) but is still fairly compact like a small, compact pen drive. However it has a bright green light that is rather bright and flickers all the time to indicate access so is a bit eye catching when trying to look at the screen.

Very easy to set up with my laptop and it has made a noticeable difference to speed whilst online. Small and neat design doesn't get in the way at all. A quick and easy way to speed up my connection, certainly easier than replacing my laptop's wireless card, although that would of course be preferable as I wouldn't be taking up a USB slot now with this adapter. My only criticism would be that the flashing green light on the top is unnecessary and a little distracting at times.

After struggling to get a decent broadband WiFi signal upstairs on our family computer I finally decided to try the USB adapter. Wow, what a difference. My connection went from 16 Mbps straight up to what the line was supposed to provide at 72 Mbps. The set up was plug and play simple and we haven't looked back since. The only thing I would suggest is that you restart your computer after installation to make sure the setup is picked up, other than that it's brilliant.

For a few years, my wife has had to put up with a network cable running from my upstairs office to my PC downstairs. Not anymore. I had a couple of spare wireless routers and was researching on how to link these wirelessly as we were having new carpets and did not want the cable when I stumbled across this little gem. Instaled in minutes it is brilliant. Does the job perfectly and I am getting 106.5mbs through it too. More importantly, the wife is happy!

This little Wifi adapter was a bought as a stop gap whilst I figure out how best to run Ethernet cables in my new house. It is surprisingly good & better than I expected considering I went for the older wireless N standard. The dongle provides a very reliable connection, I've not seen any drops in connection since I started using it. I've streamed video on it without any issues. As well as used a Citrix remote session to my place of work with zero issues.

My WiFi router is downstairs making it difficult to run Network cables upstairs to the man-caveThis was so easy to use take it out the box stick the drivers CD in Inserted the TP-Link dongle into a USB port it automatically finds your WiFi signal, stick in your WiFi password and that’s it. My router is in the back of my house my pc is upstairs at the front and I have a perfect signal. Ideal for web browsing or downloading. It couldn’t be simpler.

Wi-fi adapter on my laptop stopped working, and this USB Wi-Fi adapter suited my needs well. Installation was easy. I wanted dual band and at the price it was right for my needs. The only issue I have found is that occasionally when the laptop is in sleep mode, closing the lid for example, it doesn't come back on. Its not a problem though as pulling it out of the USB socket and re-inserting it always works. I leave it permanently in the USB slot.

HiGot this for my daughters PC without WiFi. Had an old 2.4ghz usb WiFi stick and it was painfully slow at just 4-12Mb on a WiFi to Virgin Media 200mb line. I think the 2.4ghz channel is congested. So bought this for the AC 400+ 5ghz and she now gets around 40-85mb! Great for Roblox and Minecraft!Put it on a usb extension lead to get better signal away from case (not included). Also noticed it gets warm but not red hot. So far so good.
