This is a nice and compact branded dual band adapter.It isn't suitable for any devices that do not have the ability to load a drive (a satellite box for example).As a result, I thought I'd use it as a replacement wifi adapter on my HP Pavilion to upgrade from 2.4ghz. However, although it does do this, the speed is very limited, 10 to 15mbI ended up buying a Netgear AC1200 High Gain WiFi USB Adapter which gives me a speed of 105mb on a Virgin 100mb Fibre.I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought this dongle after I formatted my old laptop and couldn't get the network adaptor/ wifi to work properly. After a simple installation the wireless is working better than ever using this tp link device and my download speed has increased from 15 mbps to 30 mbps which is the maximum for my connection. Highly recommended !

If you have a laptop that only has a network WiFi adapter that runs on a 2.4gh, sometimes it's not possible to replace the network card, this will allow you to update your laptop to the latest WiFi technology router that runs on 5gh AC.

After having had a bad experience with my previous TP-Link dongle which was unreliable from the start, this one appears to do the job (so far). It is also small and unobtrusive.

Great little dongle that hardly sticks out of the side of my laptop. Very easy to set up and provides a very fast and stable connection. Highly recommended.
