First up, I absolutely loved Tony Hawks on PS1 when I was a kid and that's why I bought this game.I totally see how it deserves bad reviews - it must've been rushed out for licensing reasons and compared to other PS4 titles, especially the Skate games on PS3 etc, must look awful to gamers now. Objectively, it is probably awful.However, I'm looking for nostalgia and while I'm not saying it's great (only got the game a couple of hours ago, and it did require nearly 8gb of updates), its serving its purpose right now, I immediately remembered how to play after almost 20 years and there's been no crashing yet.I think it's worth a shot for those looking for a memory lane deal (although no Mellincolin on the soundtrack as yet!)...

Was counting the days til release but after reading all the horrific reviews I held off. Not sure what it was like prior to the patch and would feel short changed for full price but at the current cost I'm very happy. Graphics are OK not as offensive as some claim and there is enough here to get me all nostalgic. Not up to standards of classics like THPS2 but at this discount the game is loads of fun. Music is good, got old objectives to remind you of previous games. People slating unlocking levels, that's how it always worked? Will play this game for a good while, time played vs cash outlay I would say good value for money. All I'd say is give it a go, I did and am glad I did.

Almost like a re-mastered version of the original Tony hawk games. Experienced no glitches after many hours of play so assume these were fixed with the patches, making the majority of the reviews on here untrue. Each level has a lot of missions such as collect SKATE, Combo hidden tape etc, I can understand why some people find this repetitive but if you enjoyed the originals like me you will enjoy this title just as much. There are a lot of fan made levels to play as well including very faithful recreations of levels from previous games such as the warehouse. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I can't figure out a way to change grinds whilst in the middle of a grind to increase combo scores.

Old skool classic, Just like the ps1 but in much better detail.This game arrived next day in standard amazon packaging.The game play is much more like the original tony hawks not much has changed you still get arcade mode and story mode, you can play online with other players however that's not for me so i have not tried this aspect of the game. You can play different missions and create your own skate park.My inner child came out when playing this game, and regardless of the bad reviews I really like it !Hope You Found This Helpful

Lets be fair, when this was released it was unfinished, hence the majority of these reviews which are now out of date. The reason being that a 7.9gb update has come out fixing all the problems. Fact is that the patch makes this great. It's as good a you expect and better. You will lose hours of your life to this game all over again. Ignore the out of date reviews that people can't be bothered to update this is great since the update.

Alright so its not exactly amazing like the classic pro skaters were, but I actually quite enjoy it. It's a little bit glitchy at times, you can't get off the skateboard and some idiot decided lil Wayne should be a skater, but for me personally it relives that nostalgia feel from when I used to play pro skater 2 on a school night with the tv on mute, when I should have been asleep as a kid !

I was skeptical after the negative reviews however most of the problems documented seem to have been sorted at least in my copy. It runs smoothly and haven't encountered any glitches after about 8 hours of game play. It's not perfect but if you loved the others like me then you will enjoy this. The damage has probably been done after the shambles release however.

It reminds me of my youth. Very retro. Don't buy if your expecting anything other than a combination of the first set of Tony Hawks games with a compatibility for PS4. It's great but id be annoyed if I still had my XBOX. It's not much different to the Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD. I still love it though. It has sentimentality.

I don't know whether it's just because I'm late to the part and updates have stopped or something, but this game glitches on me all the time. It either get's frozen during the save/load process, or your player freezes in a wall somehow.Game play is good though so still worth a look if you love the THPS franchise.

I was expecting this game to be awful after initial reviews. However I found it full of nostalgia and great fun to play. The beauty in this game is they've kept it to its original routes. At a low price it's well worth adding to your collection if your a fan of the original few.

Ignore all you've heard! This is a great game, exactly like it used to be! It's always been buggy and repetative, it's what made the series fun! Everyone needs to settle down and stop being so serious! Tobias Hawn is back in a big way!I love Toby Hawn!!

THIS GAME IS EPIC!!! BEST TOBY HAWN GAME EVER. IT MAY BE A CASH GRAB LIKE PEOPLE ARE SAYIMG BUT RELAX PEOPLE ITS A BIT OF FUN. TONY HAWN GAMES WERE NEVER ANYTHING BUT GLITCHY SKATE SESH FUN. TOBY HAWN IS A HERO.

Not sure what all the fuss is about, good game when you get into in. The missions are the same on every level, wish they mixed them up a bit.Few glitches but hoping with update they will sort themselves out.

Great Game , just a little bit difficult for us oldies although my son is also having problems progressing to level 3 and he is in his early twenties.
