i have really enjoyed playing this simulator, the graphics are great and the sound brilliant, when your immersed in the game you could almost believe you were on a train for a moment, for me one of the games drawbacks was the fact there is no manual, no instructions at all, it really is a game of trail and error, the game contains tutorials on driving each train but they are basic instructions, very few of the buttons, dials and switches are explained, even the further simulation exercises leave you to your own devices to work out how to perform certain tasks, when driving passenger trains there is a lot of time just sat watching the screen occasionally tweaking the train speed while watching signals and speed alteration signals or sat waiting for departure times or connecting trains,

I pre-ordered this for my PS4 (not Pro) as a nice change from racing. I think this is the best simulator of any kind for a console, especially as simuators often rely on a well-running PC that doesn’t crash or takes ages to load or struggle to hold good graphics that need adjusting.POSITIVES:- So many functions- Authentic and realistic- Lovely detail- Somewhat educational- Loads of lessons and missions- Good physics enginePOSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS:- Framerate could be better (not 60 FPS)- Graphics could be sharper in parts- Drawing distance is a little short (the track especially)- No steam locomotives (sadly)- Needs more locations - only 3 here (UK, USA, Germany)

I really enjoy playing this train game because it makes you feel like you are the driver of an actual train. You have to maintain a certain speed and you must follow all the directions the game tells you to do or you will fail the scenario. It is a challenge to get to the station on time, but it sure is a fun game. There is a massive frame drop in certain locations on the map. The graphics of the game are also stunning! I recommend getting this game because it has lots of fun train routes that are really cool! The game includes Train Sim World 2020 which has a whole ton of new routes. But if you really want to get the experience of driving a train,

Straight up, I like trains. It's why I bought this.It has it's faults. My biggest issue is admittedly passengers. They make a game intended to be as realistic as possible and yet platforms are empty (no matter the time of day) and occasionally you're transporting a passengerless train at 4 in the afternoon. It's just not going to happen.The graphics could also use some work at least from a passenger perspective.Others have commented on waiting to get to destinations. I.have mixed feelings here. It is a train sim after all and whilst I appreciate the frustration - I admire the realism. The option to jump.ahead would be nice though.It's not your typical game. Buy if you're a train enthusiast.

Played game 2 days in row but i could not play it without training level play as i could not move with the train - not so simple as it looks like on first sight. What i've noticed game is little sluggish and often is require to wait longer after pressing x and i got confused as i though that game froze , seriously nothing happened for about minute or two. Rendering is also very bad in this game , i thought that it will not be a big deal as i'm not so picky in games and i do not expect top graphics etc... If you overlook all that it's a fun but time consuming game especially for the price paid.

Absolutely brilliant graphics and game play i just wish there was more railway traffic and i am not pulling the game down but it looks like London Paddington and the other places are in Lockdown due to coronavirus as there is hardly any body around. There isn't much traffic about on the roads, but this game is just awesome in looks and superb detail. The memories all came flooding back when I stood on Paddington Station in the game and the days I spent riding the rails on a all line rail rover with my fellow rail enthusiast's. I will use and play this game for my enjoyment and relaxation.

Train Sim World (PS4) is brilliant! This is my first purchase of a train sim game as they have mostly been geared towards PC. The tuturials on Train Sim World are very well presented and useful. The gameplay itself is really good. With just enough stuff to keep you occupied whilst waiting for a Train, or travelling on one. You don't even need to be the driver. You can just be a passenger, and move from seat to seat, from second class to first! Train Sim World is hours of entertainment. Enjoy the ride! 10/10

This is a superb game with so much depth and detail. Living right next to the GWR mainline, I am familiar with the route contained within the game and have had many hours (to my wife's displeasure) of fun in just a few days. My first time on a sim game and can't wait to add some dlc to it for more challenges. With any luck there will be more dlc to come as I have suggested a few ideas myself. If you love trains then this is for you.

If you like simulators you should enjoy this game. If you are a railway enthusiast that likes simulators you should be in heaven! From 43xxx, 52xxx, 47xxx, 40xxx and many more including multiple German and North American locomotives. You can go back in time to Tees Valley and Trans-pen with more and more routes and locos being added (at additional costs from £11.99-£24.99 there is plenty to keep you interested.

A difficult format to put on consoles as it's always be the domain of PCs for us to play these type of games. Not as in depth as a PC version would be so hopefully some great DCLs will help. Very easy to pick up and play and for all ages. I suspect that most will play on the more difficult but more realistic method but it caters for the young uns with the easier way

About time that PS4 brought out some the simulation games and it seems that this may be the first one?This is absolutely awesome unless you like watching paint dry because it's a long long missions I've actually falling asleep listening to the railway and miss my stop lol enjoyable game I would recommend it if you're a train fan and even if you're not it's good fun

love the gameplay really addictive, and find it educating as it can give a view of what a train driver goes to do in order to get people to where they got to go to on time and to set up the trains ready prior to travel , highly recommend the game to anyone looking for a game for a educational purpose and want to have a good game

I love this game, its so fun to drive trains in real time. I feel like I am a real train driver. at first its hard to get used to all the controls and how to actually drive the bloody thing, but after some effort I have understood it and its very fun. Its becoming more and more fun by the hour, excellent!!!!

I really looked into this game before i brought was not disappointed good addictive game play & detailed Graphic its like owning a virtual train setLet down by jerky Camera Action & Sluggish controls even after a hefty 19.6 GB Update hopeful Dove tail will correct all this for train sim world 2

Excellent game for xbox my adult son had this game for our pc as a kid so now for my youngest to play it on Xbox it's ace great graphics but quite a hard game not that easy to start the train or stop at a station when your twelve and want yo play without listening yo the tutorial !
