First off I was looking at the tegu sets thinking that's not cheap, but I really like the idea of them.So I went for this one first for mum to have a handy toy in her bag.Initial impressions were high quality item that used nice materials and was well made.The ultimate test... mum gone for some well deserved sleep leaving the boy (1 year old) and dad to their own devices.Just spent 45 mins straight playing with them. Definitely a scale ahead of normal blocks including others that stick together.We will have to see if they have lasting appeal but I am reasonably confident that if kept in mums handbag they will keep their appeal.

Expensive, but brilliant. Bought for a long haul flight with my 21 month old. Wanted something fun to play with that would not easily end up under the seats and could be wiped clean! Also small enough to fit in any little pocket of a carry on bag. The pieces themselves are large enough for little hands to handle which I was a bit concerned about. Some of the other sets came with guide cards showing various patterns you could make and do think that would have been nice for as she gets older to give her a bit of a puzzle to recreate different designs. These are so nice and ascetically pleasing I’ll probably just buy more!

My three sons love this and the other Tegu Pouch block set, they will keep them amused for ages, using just one set or combining them both together. It is amazing what they come up, it really encourages them to use their imagination and be creative, all the while also exploring and experimenting with magnetism - dinosaurs, rockets, robots, we have had it all. They are small and light, so are perfect for your handbag and when travelling or dining out, they fit into their pouch really nicely. Great quality and great fun.

Lovely little Tegu set, great for keeping in a bag for when you're out and about and the children get bored. It's amazing how many different things you can make out of only a few blocks. We don't find it quite as versatile as the prism pocket set (my 2 and 3 year olds love it but my 5 year old finds the prism set more interesting)but it is still a great little set, well made and beautiful. If you value open ended, explorative play then this will be a great toy.

Fantastic product! Can't recommend highly enough, kept 2.5yr old amused on flight and also very handy to keep in bag for getting out at restaurants while waiting for meals etc never grows tired of them. Only slight problem is they're the envy of every other toddler that may be with us, get them but maybe warn friends if going away together!!

Ok so it is quite pricey... but these are perfect for the intended purpose! I wanted something that I could take out to restaurants to keep my little one busy. Due to the size and the pouch they come in they are great to have in your bag. My little one (2 year old) loves to play with them.

These blocks are beautifully made, very tactile and enjoyable to play with. The pouch makes them a great travel toy and, as an adult, they're just nice to mess around with while you're thinking or watching TV, like a fidget toy.

Awesome!!!!!!!!! Beautifully made, excellent quality and, even though it is only a pack of 8 blocks, it keeps my 4 year old, 15 month old and husband entertained for hours!!!! I'll definitely be buying more. Worth every penny

My 18 month old son loves these, we brought the wheels too and have it in his nappy bag for days out. it is a great compact toy that can keep him busy when out and about.

Great blocks to take when traveling. It’s not recommended for a 12 month old but my boy loved attaching and detaching the blocks and helped occupy him during our flight.

My 1 year old loves these blocks. I find myself playing with them too. Beautifully crafted toy

TBH, all the adults love it more than the toddler... it's weirdly addictive to fiddle with.

Quite small, would expect bigger elements - it's for a kid, not for watchmakers...
