I have a magnifier that is laboratory quality and the replacement tubes were exceedingly expensive. I no longer have any need for top specification items so I tried this. Much better than merely adequate if slightly cold in colour temperature but perfectly suitable for any task apart from examining items where true colour is critical. Unless you examine original paintings or coloured gems this will ne the ideal substitute for most critical needs

Use in a 20 year old magnifying circlite bench lamp in my workshop. Broke the last tube with the recoil of a solder extractor gun, but got this quickly and at a sensible price. Worked first time, good steady light, nice daylight colour (useful for reading resistor colour bands, true colours).

Lovely bright white replacement tube for my magnifying inspection light - like they use on CSI.Unlike previous tubes, this one fires up pretty much straight away. It arrived very well padded and packed because they are of course very delicate.Buy it, you will be pleased!

I really like the bulb and it is as advertised... daylight!But as the rest of my lighting is warm white 3000K, and this is really bright daylight, it really stands out.Perfect bulb if you're looking for a daylight bulb! (my mistake - I needed warm white!)

The right bulb for the job. Bought my magnifier lamp back to life, but this time with daylight colour.
