I have had four circular light fittings for over 12 years now but when I had to change a tube recently I was unable to get it locally at either Wickes or B&Q .................in fact I was told these tubes are no longer available due to the progress of LEDsSo my next step was to check on line and was very pleased to find them here and a big Thank You goes to Amazon and Crompton Lamps.I initially ordered one, just in case there may be any problems with the compatibility but rest assured none arose and the light works perfectly.So I then ordered two more as a back up and "hey ho" about a week later another one of the tubes required replacing (I put this down to having bought it around the same

Five years ago, I paid an electrician £26 to replace a similar tube to this. Via Amazon, I recently bought this new replacement tube for under £7, had it safely and promptly delivered, and fitted it myself. Very easy to fit (the ceiling fitting has a 4 pin plug that connects with a 4 pin socket on the tube) so unlike the straight tubes that can require a bit of manhandling whilst stood on a stepladder.The only word of warning is to disconnect the old tube and measure the diameter (and count the pins on the ceiling fitting connector) before you decide which size of tube to buy. In addition, you need to ensure that you buy a tube with the SAME type of socket (number of pin sockets)

I had some difficulty acquiring this 40 watt unit as the original one sent had, seemingly, gotten lost in the post. I ,eventually received a replacement for the lost tube today and it works as it ought to.I did not want a 60 watt tube even though they are more easily available but are too bright for the room. I must make a positive comment on the packaging. A box covered in layer after layer of bubble wrap with a further skin comprising of metres of sticky tape and all within an outer plastic dispatch envelope. It was so well packaged that it was a challenge to get it all off. No way was the tube ever going to be broken in transit.Eamonn

Great value, being half the price I could find one for in the shops. Very easy to fit. This replaces another Crompton tube I'd had for quite a number of years, so let's hope this lasts as long. I was a little nervous about ordering an item like this through the post in case it got broke, but reviewers said how well packaged theirs was, so took the chance. It arrived in good time and was indeed very well packaged. No risk of it getting broken with normal handling, or even being accidentally dropped.

The back-lit mirror in our bathroom had a "Cold White" circular tube so we sent for the T9 Comptons "Warm White". It came within two days and very well packed. We put it in and the light was so much warmer. The other cold tube made the wall tiles look awful so it is now up in our loft ... just in case it is needed as a spare for a short time. The new tube was well worth the money.

Arrived well packaged indeed, great price paid, far less than my local electrical lamp outlet, less than half the cost my local supplier asked for.The tube gives off a good bright light, I like this lamp as the light allows good vision to do any tasks, I will be purchasing more.

Only place we could find this was on Amazon, as our local electricians said that bulb breaks so easily and manufacturers no longer use them in products. So was worried about delivery and whether item would make it in one piece. It arrived on time and intact.

The tube could not be found in city department-store lighting departments but was easily sourced on Amazon. It was simple to fit and is in good working order. Hopefully it might last as long as the very old tube it replaced.

My circular light fittings are probably antique by now and I wasn't sure I'd be able to replace the blown tube but this is perfect. It arrived promptly and well boxed too. Easy to fit and gives a good light.

Tried to source locally [used in a bathroom heated mirror] but the price was ridiculous. The price was very good, swiftly dispatched, well wrapped and protected would buy from this seller again.

I have ordered before and the service has always been excellent. The tube arrived very well packed. Sadly I had a problem with my light fitting so the tube broke when I attached it!

Great item as expected and a fast delivery coupled with great value, with the high street in short supply Crompton Lamps where there to save having to buy a new light.

Delivered quickly and well packaged. Item build quality seems a bit poor and I am worried its not going to last very long. However it was cheaper then alternatives.

Look good quality, but I had ordered the wrong size. Posted back OK, but had to pay for return postage, so will be more careful next time and double check the size.

Nice and bright, the round tube being a good centre piece that looks neat in the middle of the ceiling. Easy to read by as well.Quite long lasting performance.
