Bomberman R is a cool old school style game, nice and simple gameplay for all ages to enjoy, the gameplay hasn't changed much over the years but new elements of how you play have been added, the main story campaign is good fun, you can play on various difficulty levels and includes boss fights at the end of each one, there are various multiplayer game types too for playing with friends and over Xbox live, the only downside is the lack of content may not keep you interested for long, its something worth going back too now and again for a bit of fun but nothing long term!The shiny edition just gives you each of the bomberman characters in a shiny costume basically.you do get other characters you

A great multiplayer game that has kept me and my wife busy for many many evenings. It is a great continuation of a classic, timeless franchise.Single player mode can be played 2 player co-op very short with 5 worlds of 7 stages and 2 stage boss fights, there is a 6th final world where you fight the final boss 2 times. It could do with being longer or even having more story mode levels to buy.In multiplayer, you can play up to 8 players, with the computer making up any of those 8 - e.g. my wife and I play both of us versus 6 computer players as a team or free for all. It is a great game that you can play at any time and just unwind with.Only negative point was that it was expensive,

A good attempt to capture the oldskool Bomberman's Gameplay and Mechanics Soul... but falls just short!Story Mode is just ok but abit repetative with Arena type levels based on each World rather then actual Story Missions which feel alive like in Alot of Previous Bombermans especially Saturn Bomber which i consider to be the pinical of what can be done with abit of passion and talent. Also each world has a nice Boss Battle at the end.Also the voice acting is cringworthy bad, and really does make you dislike each of the Bombing Siblings!Battle mode is enjoyable but lacks that sumthing special, still great fun for a while tho.Overall i would say its worth waiting for a sale on this game!

Such high expectations, and everything gets blamed on price. I got mine for £22.99 because I buy tactically and not splashing my cash.The game itself, in my opinion, is definitely sluggish in comparison to previous generation bomberman games, but, geez, it shouldn't be stabbed in the back by poor ratings.If you're complaining about the price, remove a star. If you're complaining about the speed of the game, remove another star. Don't just say "Garbage" - 1 star. Please review the game fully. Write an essay if you have to, and review the game as fair as you can.Good if you refunded it. I don't want to encounter you guys online.

It's actually 3-stars, however I'm giving one more as a bonus to Konami, hoping that they will fix some issues regarding the controls.I am a huge multiplayer Bomberman fan and I was so glad it got released on the Switch. I have to admit, however, that the controls do not feel that smooth. There seems to be some input lag on the controls, which is crucial for a Bomberman game. You will get lots of accidental deaths.Online matches sometimes work great, other times it's just impossible to play due to huge lag.Overall, it's a great addition for the Switch, and hopefully Konami will fix these early issues.

Great graphics this game is greatly underrated 5 stars price went up am glad. Super bomberman is a fantastic game.I have read the old reviews for this game and all problems have been fixed there are no problems. When you insert the cartridge it automatically downloads nearly 2 Gigabytes off data to the game.Trust me dont believe the 1 star votes an complaints ive played this game since the 80s an has improved vastly.Its an incredible game. Buy it , its gonna be a rare one on cartridge as a lot off people are overlooking this game; is a must.

Thankfully Konami have provided updates for the game. Before then the controls were clunky and unresponsive, and would've rated 1-2 stars. Not quite as fun as the SNES era of Bomberman, but still good multiplayer fun, and hope that they release more Bomberman in future. Camera angle takes some getting used to compared to previous games. Single player is okay, but the main reason for the game is multiplayer - thats where the fun is. Loads to unlock, although can be annoying with how many gems are required for certain stages or new characters...

A little sluggish to control but not overpriced really. Getting Hudson back together for one final blast must have been pricey especially for a limited sales exclusive on a platform with a tiny user base. If you want it for £10 wait! It'll be £10 soon but if you want to get online with me and the others and have some fun buy it now :) It's only money. Ps. The story is bomberman megadrive style - love it! Paid £49.99 back in 1995 for that and this hasn't gone up nearly as much as housing, mcdonalds burgers, council tax, tv licence etc.

It's really nice to see Bomberman revived on the Switch - the mechanics are all there and after a few updates it does control great and is fun with loads of people. However despite being grid-based, movement feels floaty and because everything is so colourful it's very easy to misjudge distance / position and die without even realizing.The art style used fits extremely well and looks great, and the acting in story mode is great; with that said the voice clips used in multiplayer battle mode does get very grating, very quickly.

Expensive? Yes.However, the game is great and extremely fun to play. Konami know that this is the best selling Bomberman title in a LONG time and are investing in patching the game to be the quality you expect for that price. They're due to release a patch to make the controls even more responsive in the next couple of days and you can find more info on their site if you don't believe me.I'd recommend this if you love Bomberman, it's worth the money in my opinion.

Having great fun with this. Remember Bomberman from the Snes days and this has all the magic. Haven't experienced any lag playing online since the update and local with 4 joycon is a blast.Loses a star for the dull story mode. Bearable in 2 player but really lacking any element of fun.Paid £42 for it which is definitely pricey but suits Switch perfectly and have put hours into the online league mode so feel I can justify the purchase.

Bomberman is just so much fun, the whole family has been playing this since it arrived and we are completely addicted to the game. there are so many different mazes and levels to choose from and you can play four players all together at once which is so much fun. We were all laughing so much trying to beat each other and it gets so tense at the end of a game when the time starts running out! Just buy it you will be so chuffed you did!

This game is a brilliant and fun game for local multiplayer.It has lots of playability and it definitely to go to game for this looking for another game to fill out the small games library.The Online I will admit can do with improving, however it's still playable.There is a story mode that allows co-op also for those who enjoy that.I'm super impressed with it being an 8 player game. It is definitely a good party game.

The first time I played this was on the multiplayer with me and a bunch of friends, it was great and wasn't to complex but a simple button scheme to use on hand however the story mode is lacking in fun and potential, when I played it in the car I found it fairly boring very quickly and found I put it down a fair amount. I do still believe the multiplayer is very good and that is how I will be using the game from now on.

It's simply a game you will play over an over again with family and friends. Graphics are awesome, Game sounds are quite nifty and sound well. Story line can be slow at times, but improve in harder levels, the price I paid was excellent, so I brought two copies , one for me and one for my grandson. It's simply one of the best Bomberman releases so far! look forward too seeing how what the future holds for Bomberman
