*Bought elsewhere as it was sold out in amazon*This game will be divisive among general gamers due to the controls but once you put enough time on it is a really great and entertaining experience and is then when the controls just "click".Star Fox Zero is for me a great Wii U game. As a said before we can argue that the control scheme is unconventional but it's fitting for a game that goes out of its way to surprise you with additional modes, trophy rewards, hidden locations, and a spin-off with gameplay never before attempted within the series and in any other console. The game is closely inspired in Star Fox 64 that was amazing in its own right.Game is full of secrets/hidden paths and extra modes. The graphics while not amazing serve right and mostly move at 60fps which, considering that game is rendering two different viewpoints, is an amazing accomplishment if you ask me. The soundtack, ahhh, that soundtrack and the voice acting are also top notch.Like I have already said, there's an adjustment period when learning to use the gamepad in conjunction with the TV screen but once you really find your groove, these controls make a whole lot of sense.Star Fox guard comes packed in too and if you like tower defense games, you will love it too. Although the visuals and the music really showcase that this time we are talking about a low budget game, the tons of different robot enemies, stage variety and really simple fun gameplay make up for it.

Just picked this up in a Gamestop for €65 today, didn't pre-order or anything like that, loads in stock here in Dublin. Its available everywhere, if ya have a look. Just don't pay the crazy prices on here for the moment. Yesterday it was at £99.99, mad! £70 now. Whatever €65 is in pounds at the moment its not £70 that's for sure, maybe £50Haven't played it just yet, but its a damn nice set, steal box is lovely and has two cd spaces in the steal box for both games.Cant wait to play it!

great underrated game from platinum games once you get past the slightly odd controls theres a fun game underneath waiting to be enjoyed played through several times and once on the quite difficult black arwing / hard difficulty still very satisfying to get that 3 star rating just like its 64 predecessor but wiht better graphics
