I wondered why the bit holder kept falling out, very frustrating! After looking into the mechanism of the screwdriver, there is a small ball bearing with a tensioning surclip that would mate with the notches on the bit holder. This appeared to be dislodged, to the bearing was not making contact with the bit. After pushing down on the black surclip inside, it released the bearing and it protrudes to make a positive contact with the bit holder, securing it.So, if your bits are falling out... check if the bearing is protruding or not. Chances are that if you push the ring down, it should stick out enough to make contact with it. This is what i figured, and it has not caused any problems at all.

Solid, quality little ratchet driver.The 'clips' that hold the bits in the handle are a tad too tight, but gradually loosening.Ratchet action very positive, and seems to handle pretty serious torque without complaint. Small enough to live in most pockets. Heavy enough to be a robust & useful tool.Niggle: the magnet in the short extension bar supplied came loose almost immediately.Fixed with a dab of glue, but shouldn't have to. Had a couple of recent Stanley things with minor, fixable, QC issues that sometimes let the show down.Not enough of an issue to knock off a star as nothing at all wrong with the actual screwdriver.

Good that bits are stored in handle - easy to twist off the cap to access them but not so easy to pull them out of their individual retainer slots on the reverse of cap. Bits fit well into magnetic bit holder but bit holder is very hard to push/pull in or out of the rest of the handle (which you rarely need to do, only in tight spots). Ratchet action is wonderful, numerous of clicks per handle twist with a quiet and smooth feel. Rubberised handle easy to grip well and quite comfortable for its size. Very pleased overall for the price.

It is always useful to have a stubby screwdriver in your tool set. This one is a little larger than a fixed tip version but is so flexible allowing ratchet driving with a selection of bits. The tool comes with a few driver bits which are all standard screwdriver bit size so other bits can be used as well.

So the whole thing is great, however I do not like how stiff the screws are pulling them in and out. They will pinch your finger every time. These should have been made with more thought, the cheap sharp plastic inside is not good for the holder. The the screw driver itself is very comfortable.

OK so I have an electric screwdriver, but sometimes you just want a handy ratchet scredriver with a choice of screw head shapes. This tool is well designed, well made a good value, not cheap, but worth the price.

In the hand this is a heavy, well made driver. Good for getting at service valves in awkward places (under sinks and basins and the like) Has quality feel to it, very happy with it!

Perfect size to put in the toolbox and use comfortably whenever you need a screwdriver. Not quite the size of a true stubby but a hell of allot more comfortable because if it.

A very good replacement to a none ratchet screwdriver, very easy to use and I like the addition of extra screwdriver bits. Highly recommended.

Very good but it became loose after a while, it wouldn't lock in any direction. I sprayed a lot of oil inside and it started working again.

Exactly what I wanted. Fits my grip giving strength to the use of the tool. Well made & I know I will be using this screwdriver often.

Nice small ratchet screw driver , with bits in the chubby handle. Now lives in the carry box for the power drill, very handy

Good little stumpy, could do with a slightly thicker grip to get better torque in tight spaces and a holder for the bits.

It feels sturdy in the hand. I bought it for assembling IKEA furniture only, and I think it will do the job flawlessly!
