We bought two pairs of these for two boys - one just turned 9, the other 11 in a few months. Both have 24" waists (eldest is quite slender).We went by the sizing chart for the youngest and bought the 26" (7-8) and they fit just fine. In theory the 26" would also be the ones to have bought for the eldest going by waist size, but we went for the 28" (9-10) just because he is older and taller. They fitted just fine in terms of length and waist (the drawstring on the wait ensures a proper fit).Basically don't go solely by the age listing as you'll probably end up with a size too big - with a 9 year old the 7-8 (26") were good and with the (almost) 11 year old the 28" (9-10)

I purchased these over the xmas holidays for my 10 year old son as he had swimming lessons in January with the school and he didnt like the small shorts he has had to wear in the past, he wore them constantly over a two week period and i have to say they havnt lost there colour even after several washes, i ordered a 28" which i think is hip measurement rather than waist so just be careful of the sizes, my son is quite tall and slim. When they arrived the label said they were Australia boy aged 10 but other countries age 11/12 when he tried them on they fitted him fine not too tight and they also have a drawstring waist. My son loves these says they are comfortable and he thinks they help him swim faster!

This is a fabulous pair of close fitting boys’ swim shorts, They are not leisure shorts and are practical and sensible for swimming lessons.As they are close fitting, they are flexible in the leg area and will allow the swimmer to do breastroke legs without the shorts ‘bagging’ and holding air. They are black and of ‘endurance’ fabric which means that they will last a long time in chlorinated water.There is some stretch in the fabric and along the elasticated seams. There is additionally a drawstring tucked into the waistband. The front of the shorts have a white lining but other than this, there is no inner lining.

These fit exactly as we expected and are great for school swimming lessons. Our son had exactly the same type previously for the whole of the last school year and has grown out of them without them wearing out at all (no fading, snagging or stretching) so them seem great quality. Our son has just turned 10, is slim build and currently wearing size 8-9 trousers/shorts (for child's height around 130-134cm), and he has just started wearing the 28" size of these. He has worn them for swimming a couple of times now and they are just tight enough round the waist not to fall off at all.

I wish I had read the previous reviews before ordering. a 26" waist is actually for an 8 yr old, not a 11-12 year old. therefore the 26" jammers were far too small. Luckily I also have an 8 yr old who fits in them and therefore I didn't need to return them, I just bought another pair, size 30" instead for my 11-12 yr old. I wonder whether they mean hip size instead of waist size, but it doesn't say that on the product page, as a 26" hip is a 8 yr old as the waist is about 22-23". and a 30" hip is a 26" waist for 11-12 year olds. So be careful when ordering the sizes.

These are very nice pair of swimming trunks from Speedo. I got the kids size 5-6 for my son and it fits him well. The fabric is chlorine resistant as it is 47% PBT polyester (and 53% regular polyester). It has a nice amount of stretch in the fabric and is soft and comfortable. It dries very quickly. It has a waist drawstring and an extra bit of internal lining around the genital area. Washing instructions are: rinse after swimming, machine wash cold (30 C), don't bleach/tumble dry/dry clean or iron. Definitely the quality you would expect from Speedo. 5 stars

The long-ish swimming trunks are of excellent quality. Elastic material, breathable, soft and comfortable to wear. Hug the body nicely but not too tight. With internal lining for important areas. Then elastic waistband is quite secure and you can use the drawstring to be more secure if needed. My seven year old is quite slim and this 5-6 year old pair fit him perfectly. Very quick to dry and water quickly go out when you leave the pool. Very good for wintertime. Price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

This item arrived safe and well packaged.These swimming shorts are great. My boy totally agrees too, and he is the one that's been testing them for me!They are comfortable and easy to wear. They secure very nicely with the drawstrings so they are firmly in place at all times.With my son going to secondary school shortly, he will need plain black swimming shorts just like these. We are very pleased with them, and have recommended them to other parents too.I highly recommend this product!

If you want tight, streamlined swimwear, but don't like the 'y-front' looking type, these are an excellent alternative.They hold tight down the leg and don't lose their grip. They have strings on the inside to adjust the fit.For my swimming team I had to wear tight swimwear and to be honest, I thought the regular Speedo's were too... revealing. These really are a great alternative.Overall, a great alternative at a great price with great quality. I really recommend it.

I had my nephew who is 5 try these out and they fit him perfectly.Excellent quality as you’d expect from Speedo.Look really nice on with a moulded fit without being too tight or leaving any marks.Stay on fine with no movement in them.Didn’t sag when wet and dry super fast (wash lovely too).Look really stylish and professional on.Feel the price is reflective of a good quality brand of swim shorts that appear durable.Happy to recommend.

The pair I received for review were for age 5-6; they were a good fit for my grandson, who’s nearly 7.They are made of a good-quality water-repellent material, and fit snugly but not too closely for omfort. The waistband is strongly elasticated, ensuring that the trunks stay up when swimming or running on the beach.They are very easy to dry, and as they’re black they won’t be subject to fading.Good value, and should last a long time.

My son had to have speedo style trunks to wear under a wet suit on summer camp. He absolutely refused to wear small pant type trunks and usually wears loose swim shorts, Found these and as they were longer he loved them. I ordered next size up as had read other reviews saying they were a bit on the small side. My son is very slim build and they were a little bit looser than I think they were supposed to be be but he was happy with them

My son who is now 9 has been wearing the 28in which says 10 yrs. He previously wore shorter 26in 8yr ones and can still fit them, just. He does swim club and I was advised they needed to fit snuggly. My son is a slim tall child and I find the 28in is perfectly ok for him at 9 yrs although they are a bit big on his skinny legs!! They do have a drawstring waist so are adjustable.I'm just ordering a second pair of the 28in jammers.

Bought this for my older son about 3 years ago, he's was a very sunny 5 year old and they fit him well, not snug but not too baggy like trunks would have been. I have since bought them again for my now 4 year old, he's the opposite, quite chunky and tall for his age. These are a snug fit for him but works, I probably buy the size up for him. They are good quality, well made and last well. My boys swim twice a week on average

Great purchase ? I have had these togs for a couple of months and they are great. They fit well and do a good job. I would definitely recommend them.
