I had to get my older nephew on my husbands side to test these out due to the waist measurement and because he is a keen sportsman. He mainly plays rugby but excels at any sport and swimming being one of them. On initially opening the packet before he got to use them and to take much needed photo's I noticed a distinct rubbery chemical smell about them. Not what you expect from swimwear at all which was a bit of a worry unless this is due to the manufacture of the product as there is nothing on them that appears to look like rubber or which would cause the chemical smell. I did wonder if there was a chlorine smell as it's also similar to that but very odd and very strong.Inside the brief's there is drawstring waist which my nephew commented on as being quite helpful during his swim later as he had no fear of loosing them especially when diving and felt they stuck to him like a second skin, also no fear of being see through due to the interior white panel at the front of the swimwear. However he did say the embroidered logo on the front left and back could have done with a lining of some sort as he found it very scratchy. These briefs are chlorine resistant and supposed to dry quicker but to be honest, I didn't think they did. Made for Speedo in Sri Lanka and to be washed at 30°c hut must be rinsed in cold water straight after use.

These Speedo Endurance+ briefs are a revision to the original excellent Endurance. The fit is almost the same, 34” means 34” as before, however there are subtle design changes to the styling which lessen the quality, and I do not expect my latest purchase to endure as long as the previous one (six years of two or three two-hour sessions a week before the stitching began to wear out). The new + version has bigger logos on a stiffer backing that pull on the fabric when worn, the front lining is cut short so no longer reaches the side seam, the waistband is thicker and deeper, the gusset wider and the sides deeper. The apertures for waist and legs are the same, as is the style of stitching at all the seams, and both fabrics seem to be the same. When swimming one can feel the difference at the top of the legs and I prefer the more comfortable original style. As with all costumes made with these materials, do not wash them with detergents in a machine and do not tumble dry. I rinse mine thoroughly in the shower after the swim, sometimes using some hair shampoo on them if the chlorine was really bad, and allow them to dry naturally.

These trunks couldn’t be much plainer: even the logo is barely perceptible (in the black ones I have at least). They typically feel like all Speedos I’ve previously owned over the years (which is a fair few) and can attest to their general quality (and with care they will last a year or so - based on daily swims in a chlorinated pool). They are secure and keep everything under control.Havin had many pairs of Speedos over the years I would say that I have always found the stated size is actually undersized (and these trunks at no different). For example, I am a 30’ waist (and have been for decades now) and I have always found the Speedos 32’ waist to be the correct fitting for me (whilst still taking a 30’ waist in all other brands of swim and normal wear). My advice therefore is to go a size up from your usual. All in all though a nice if somewhat basic and plain trunk. If you want something that is unshowy but still of decent quality but will last you then these are for you (just remember about the sizing issue).

Without false modesty, this is my husband's area of expertise. A competitive international swimmer in his teens and beyond, he is still active in the sport. This is a repeat purchase as his previous Endurance swimsuit had finally lost elasticity after several years of regular use (3 times per week, as he rotates with other swimsuits). The quality is excellent, as is the fit. A classic cut with an inner drawstring to tighten the waistband as needed. The material is what sets these apart, a fairly heavyweight, highly-elastic fabric that resists chlorine degradation and colour fading better than any other that we have tried. This time we bought these in Neon Blue. The colour is pretty much as shown in the photo,a bright turquoise which looks perfect in any swimming pool, both classic and a welcome change from the usual dark blue or black. Very happy with this purchase. Perfect for training and regular use.

This suit felt a bit small on the first trial, but slightly extended after a couple of times wearing, so I would say they fit as expected (I bought the 30). The cut has a nice design, not too skimpy, but also not looking like a 70's swimsuit (like the traditional speedo cut, in my opinion). They let more room in the legs opening, which is a good thing, since I have often felt a bit squeezed on the legs with other speedo models. The material seems robust, but feels nice both in and out of water. Also, one advantage I find is that because the material is a bit more robust, the "shape and details" of your package, if you see what I mean, is more subtle compared to licra swimsuit.Overall after a couple of years swimming, I finally found the perfect suit and won't look for something else.

These Speedo Essential trunks are not up to the usual standard. They seem to be a cost cut version of their trusted trunks. There is nothing wrong with them, they fit but not as well as the others that I have purchased recently. There are some major construction differences that let them down. The leg hols are not as secure as they normally are. The waist band is wider and draw sting is of a lesser grade than usual. The front lining also isn't right across the front of the trunk like normal. See attached photos for the main differences between the basic (Blue) and usual high quality perfect fit trunk (Pink). The fabric also seems slightly thinner in the basic blue trunk. On the whole though they are not bad trunks and should last a while being made of their endurance+ fabric.

When it comes to iconic items for brands, it almost doesn’t get more so than the briefs made by Speedo. I took the latest to the pool to check them out.First impressions were good as the quality is as you would expect - plenty of good stitching around the seams, with a drawstring also provided to tighten them up if required. The fit is pretty snug, wide enough for comfort where required and the internals of the embroidery and the drawstring aren’t a problem. The colour is a pretty solid black, while chlorine resistance is promised so that they hopefully wouldn’t change over time.Overall then, what you’ve got here is a pretty decent pair of swimming trunks. If you’re in the market for something like this - they are a great example and come recommended from me.

Absolutely fine. Not the best swim trunks I own but good value and a reasonably fit: slightly short in the crotch for me & experience has taught me that I always need to opt for a size larger than my trousers. I ordered 2 pairs: one at the high end of my current trouser size (40") and one 2" larger (42") - both fit but the bigger is the better fit. The cheap, round draw cord is generously long - a welcome improvement on some more expensive trunks.Lidl sometimes offer comparable products at a lower price - these are a little racier though (e.g. 7cm depth at hip & Speedo logo) but still manly. I remain sceptical about the "100% chlorine resistant" claim.Navy is quite dark, almost the same as black - fine by me ;)

Speedo brand has been known for literally decades. Having learned professional competitive swimming ourselves, we always used this brand since childhood days. For people who are looking for swming suit, but do not know how to swim. Do choose swimming brief, not the boxer type swim suits. Why? The mobility in the water is very important, whether one swims for priofessional reason or for pleasure. You feel more in touch with water, and easiyer to learn to swim. This also goes same to women. Instead of choosing bikini style, do choose competitionstyle swim suits. The mobility, and the feel of water makes so much difference for you to learn swiming.

You can buy many others, but Speedo Endurance are as they say "on the tin" produced to support swimming on a regular basis. They endure. My last ones lasted for ages, and I mean years. I am in chlorinated water at least three times a week and they just go on and on. Others sag within weeks, they change colour and the fabric rots. They also become see-through! But Speedo are just perfect for swimming and Endurance is what I need. Its worth the price and the extra few pounds when they last longer than half a dozen others. (You could finish up paying three times more as you buy the cheap ones more often). These were a bargain.

No-nonsense swimwear that fits low on the hips – 4 StarsThere’s nothing flashy about these swimming trunks, but they do the job perfectly well. Made to be fully chlorine resistant and quick-drying, they are also machine washable on a low-temperature (30°C) cycle.Presented in plain black, and adorned with the Speedo logo on the front, and endurance logo on the back, these sit very low on the hips and are cut to be brief. They have an additional inner-layer of fabric to the front crotch area, and there’s a drawstring cord at the waist to help ensure a secure fit. Ideal for an hour in the local pool, or all day at the lido.

I found these swim briefs to be bang on with the sizing and they are perfectly shaped to provide a great fit. The quality of them is excellent as expected, with the material having a nice thickness to them with excellent stitching and a good quality draw string. Being chlorine resistant they are perfectly suited for use in the swimming baths and dry in a relatively quick time.I’m happy with the fit of these briefs and the quality is exactly as id expect from such an established brand. The sizing for me was exact and they represent good value for a good brand. I’m happy to recommend them and feel they are worth five stars.

I have worn Endurance swimming trunks for many years and this new version is chlorine persistent so it is a step up. There is no complaint what so ever about quality: thick and tight fabric, careful stitching, sufficient inner lining and extra drawstring. The logo is embroidered and is barely visible. But you can immediately tell if it is a Speedo from the shape. It fit snugly and with no drag. The water drains immediately when you are out of the pool so there is no unpleasant dripping following you. Easy to wash and quick to dry. Just excellent.

Bought for my son for a holiday. He says the material is comfortable so he enjoys wearing them, however the fit is tight. As this is his first speedo and as it is a speedo we assumed that is must be tight but leaves little to the imagination for him so he didn't feel comfortable wearing it at first. He now loves it though, he wore it all the time on the holiday including going to the pool, the beach and even walking around the campsites. Definitely a good purchase for anyone who wants a pair of swimming trunks that's feel comfortable.
