Each Sunday morning I go to the one hour 'adults only' swimming session at our local baths. I had been using a pair of shorts that frankly had seen better days. They flapped around on my legs, and the elastic banding was shot - so much so that I did come close to losing them to my ankles on a couple of occasions! I therefore jumped at the chance of replacing them with these 'professional-looking' Speedos. And boy, do these make a difference. My waist-line is probably nearer to 35" - but these 34in ones fit me perfectly, almost like a second skin. My wife initially had reservations about me being seen out in public in them, suggesting my meat & two veg might be prominently on display - don't know if she meant folk would be impressed and in awe of me,

Perhaps it is psychological, but these do seem to make for a faster, more streamlined swim, in my experience, and are quick to dry out of the pool.Exactly as currently shown in the above stock images, this is a quality, lightly stretchy pair of swim jammers that are a neat fit with comfortable, flat seams and an elasticated hem of around 1 cm on the leg.They measure around 24 cm inside leg, and are lined in white 100% POLYESTER at the front, with a strong elasticated & drawstring waist.The ‘speedo’ logo is nicely subdued in grey on the bottom of one leg at the front; ‘endurance +’ is in the same shade, just under the waistband at the back.The USE & CARE guidelines are on the internal seam labels (image below refers).They wash well at 30°,

If you’re not a fan of Speedo budgie smugglers then these Endurance+ Jammers are a great alternative. They’re constructed with thicker fabric than their skimpy counterparts and have a snug fit and almost a compression-like feel. Of course the fit depends on your physique but it’s clear they’re meant to fit close to the body and keep you streamlined. The fit maintains even when they’re wet and they don’t significantly droop but they do get a bit heavy, at least compared to smaller or thinner shorts.The waist tie-cord is a bit thin, like a bootlace really, and it wouldn’t be difficult to pull it right out of the waistband if it got caught on something. The body-con fit will keep your trunks up though so it’s not a major worry.

Over the years speedo has become a trusted brand in our house. With two daughters who have spent years as competitive swimmers I know that their products withstand countless pool sessions and washes without losing their shape or colour. So far, these Jammer trunks are no different. While I struggle to match my daughters over anything other than 50m races, these shorts inspire confidence and make me feel faster, even if the reality is sadly different! Well made, they fit very well (34" waist fits as expected) and are designed to minimise drag. They are not bargain basement priced, but over the long term represent excellent value.

I'm not a fan of your typical tiny Speedos, preferring over the years to wear looser swimming shorts, albeit still Speedos! The problem is that the loose-fitting shorts prevent completely free movement, especially for breaststroke, and create drag in the water. So I was interested to try these tight-fitting but cycle-short-style swimming trunks. I'm pleased I did. They are still too figure hugging for my liking but the ease of movement in the water is so much better, it is worth getting over the cringe factor for. They also dry a lot quicker!

I got these in a size 34, which I would have expected to fit but was too tight round my thighs, particularly just above the knees.Otherwise, the fit is good round the waist and buttocks, and the trunks feel like a pair of cycling shorts, providing minimal resistance when swimming.The waist is drawstring, and the material is chlorine resistant, which should enhance their lifespan.They are thin, so dry quickly after swimming, and definitely feel like the kind of quality item you would expect from Speedo.

If you are a casual swimmer or going on holiday then avoid these trunks like the plague. if you are someone who swims for fitness then these are are a real find - they work well , dry quickly and look thankfully decent. I think the term “ budgie smugglers” was the one that Speedo were trying to avoid here and to their credit they have done very well to avoid mocking. In short - if you swim for exercise these are great - if you are on holiday then these are not for you.

I'm the kind of guy who's not a professional swimmer. I like to go for a dip now and then. These a smooth tight and comfortable and feel like a natural extension for the skin. It avoids the awkward tightness of the Speedo budgie smugglers, or the really baggie swimmy shorts. It seems comfortable. It is a little tight around thighs as I do a lot of cycling and have thunder thighs, but for the duration of a swim, I don't mind that.

The fit is very comfortable, I would suggest to go up one size more than your usual.The material feels breathable, it sits snug on the thighs and you won’t need to worry about them riding up. Size 34" is true to size, fit well. Made from Speedo's Endurance+ fabric with a drawstring waist. Figure-hugging like you expect but being black and possessing a front inner lining, doesn't show up "your bits".Have an inner white front lining.I have an older red pair made from the same fabric and they have lasted well with no obvious chlorine damage. If you need a pair of jammers then I highly recommend these.

My son is using these and reports how smoothly they let you swim through the water; he's a 34" waist and these fit him well. They are a tight fitting style but he says they are very comfortable and the front area is protected by a second layer of lining material to reduce how much they "reveal". They certainly look very modern, cool and sporty and, being Speedo, can be relied upon to last well, I am sure.

always trusted Speedo swimwear. Misplaced my last Speedo jammer, now scrambling to get a replacement, now that swimming pool has reopened this will get used plenty. Unlike some swimwear, the speedo doesn't fade in colour, doesn't shrink, keeps its shape for years to come. It will last, as my last speedo refuse to be retired. Perfect for workout, not sure about using this to shave seconds of swim speed.

Great jammer. I swim about 3 times a week and these hammers are the perfect pit for the job. They have a solid construction built that won’t easily break down unlike other brands that I had that only last about 6 months. These hammers apply the right amount of compression but not enough to resorting your movements in the water. They are very breathable which is another aspect that I like.

these are really good quality swimming shorts. My husbands says they are true to size and very comfortable to wear. They are nice and thick and don't go see-through like the cheaper ones do. They have a drawstring on the inside of the waist for that extra security and wash very well on a 30 degree wash. So far the colour has not faded and they dry very quickly over a radiator.

These Speedo shorts are top quality. Well finished. The material is stretchy and the XL waist is 34 inches. The leg length is good. They are ideal for sports activities. I like the sheen of the material and the soft feel. The handy draw string allows you to tighten the waist if needed. Price wise for the quality these are excellent value.
