Unlike most modern clothing, the size is not overstated to flatter flabby figures, so don't complain if you've ordered a size too small! I found them a perfect fit around the waist, and a nice compromise in length between over-long board shorts and over-short aqua-shorts/trunks.As you might expect with the Speedo brand, these shorts appear well made and have stood up to the chlorine in my local pool without any sign of fading. The side pockets are a waste of time being open to the water, but the rear one has a velcro attached flap useful for keeping a nose plug in till needed.The material does hold onto a fair bit of water, but in practice it's not a problem till you need to pack them away after use.

Great shorts, these were recently taken to portugal so went in the pool and sea alot, they were unaffected by both salt and chlorine.Compared to previous cheap shop swimming shorts that are quite thick, these are made from thin but strong material and dry out incredibly fast, if after swimming you do not lay on the towel immediately but instead just walk round the pool once or twice then they dry quick.I am a size 34-36 and so Large fitted perfectl, and unlike so swimming shorts where the 'mesh' liner is restrictive/chafing these were very comfortable and i often used them to go around the shops, as they have normal hand pockets either side (large size) and a velcro pocket at the rear.Drawstring is good quality and thick,

Despite reading other reviews and ordering a size up, the XL swimshorts that arrived were still far too small and tight. I sent them back and purchased the XXL ones instead which are way too big, but this is solved by simply tightening the drawstring that runs through the waistline.The shorts themselves are okay, but they aren't as long as the pictures would have you believe and they occasionally ride up during intense swimming sessions. A professional swimmer would no doubt be better off with a more expensive pair, but for me, and any other casual swimmer, these will do just fine for the price.+ Quick drying+ Includes two side pockets and one rear pocket- Could be a bit longer- Weird

Great quality. Size wise I’m a 36” waist and these fit perfectly (bought XL size) the mesh inside is finer than most and is comfy, plus the material of the shorts is superior quality to most cheaper types you’d find in supermarkets or fashion retailers.The length is just about around my knee and I’m a 30” leg (so i take a ‘short’ trouser fit, regular would be 32” leg) and that’s fine. Smart dark navy colour, so will be fine for the local pool and fine for holiday wear too. Might buy another pair if I can actually motivate myself to go swimming!!Overall, very satisfied 5 stars

Loads of things to like about these swimming shorts. Flattering design, nice stretchy internal webbing, and draw-string waist. But if you are at the upper end of the recommended size bracket - with a 35 inch stomach, it might be better to consider the next size up and use the draw string. Measure your stomach at the top of the hip as these shorts fit quite low. If you measure the circumference of your upper leg at crotch level and it is more than 20 inches, you may find the internal web fit round the leg for the Medium size is too tight and restricts easy movement.

Excellent quality shorts, I swim 3/4 times a week and used to wear longer shorts but they often created dragged and rubbed against my thighs but I found these "short" shorts very comfortable in the water. I now own 2 pairs and have found the quality and sizing to be consistent with two different colours. I wear size 34" waist jeans and size large in these fits just fine however I do find the lining inside to be a bit tight when out of the pool... Maybe not something I should complain about but a bit more room would be nice.

Bought three of these from Amazon, in different colours, for no more than six squid each. Summer sorted; these shorts define every aspect of value. They're tough enough for everyday commuting (you know what train and bus seats are like...), dry fast, resist fading from chlorine and have three pockets. The fit is comfortably loose and hangs nicely on the thigh. None of that Bermuda nonsense!It's crazy to think that some brands will sell a single pair of swimming shorts for almost twice what three of these go for.

These swim shorts fit well and look smart in black. The polyester material has a slightly crinkly texture and a black sheen. There's an inner liner to keep your bits in place. I sometimes find swim shorts can chaff after a while, but I've not experience this so far with these.I've had to deduct a star though because the seams are not well finished (see photo) and needed me to trim them with a pair of scissors. Not a major hassle, but not great for a branded item like these.

These are really swimming shorts. Some say the material is too thin but this makes them good and dry very quickly. The leg is too short to be a fashionable alternative to regular shorts. The cut is a strange shape. they have no shape at the back so if you use them for running the fronts of the leg will bind on the fronts of your thigh. The shape is like I have bought in cheap shops in India. To give a 5 star they would need to have a better shape and slightly longer leg.

My partner was looking for some quality swim shorts for our holidays and these are perfect. He is 5' 7 and these sit just nicely on his thigh. The inner mesh lining gives support where its needed and the slight elastication around the leg ensures the 'Family Jewles' stay put. I thought that a quality brand like Speedo would be expensive so I was surprised to see them at such a good price. We bought the Navy and China Red colours and are very happy with both.

Wanted some swimming trunks with 'Speedo' written on them... but not be of the infamous 'budgie smuggling' variety. These are spot-on. Comfortable, secure (important if you're doing anything involving rapid moving water) and fast-drying after use. Feature a pair of pockets and a single back pocket. Well made and decent value too.I was impressed enough to buy an additional identical pair in red (just to mix it up a little at my local spa...)Recommended.

Bought these for my 17 year old son whose previous shorts were past their best. He reports they do a fine job, stay on when he does a push-and-glide off the end of the pool (a major concern!!) and are comfortable to wear. He's a fairly keen swimmer and just needed something plain and simple. Hasn;t worn them in the sea or on the beach yet but for the local pool, they're fine. Medium size fitted a slim build six foot frame.

These Speedo swimming shorts were just right to a younger family member. They are on the small side so you may need to order a larger size – unstretched waist band measures about 80cm. The waist is elasticated and there is also a drawstring.These are made from good quality opaque material (100% recycled nylon) with two pockets and a mesh lining. Reported to be comfortable to wear in the water and dry very quickly.

Pleasantly surprised.I can understand other reviewers concerns regarding sizing though. I am a short slim man and the medium fitted ideally around the waist and length. I was a little worried the shorts would be too long but proved to be a good fit.Ideal for swimming but I would be happy using them either lounging in the sun or even working out.Light fitting so feel free to move around in.

I bought these as I need some new swimming shorts, my old ones were very faded from several years of swimming lessons when growing up. They fit as expected and the pockets are built into the shorts, so they don't turn inside out in the pool like my last pair. Having pockets is convenient, but it did mean I accidentally when into the pool a few times with the room key when on holiday.
