As expected, this is a quality, practical and functional, well-made swimsuit from Speedo and replaces one I bought over 20 years ago. Yes - 20 years of albeit-light wear and apart from losing some of its shape and stretch it is still in use and a testament to the quality materials used and how well made these costumes are.This is made from polyester which gives a good, close and stretchy fit then dries quickly after wearing either for a dip in the sea, swim in a chlorinated pool or a hand or machine wash. The care instructions advise rinsing in cold water after use and, whenever possible, I have always done this and I'm sure this contributes to a swimsuit's longevity.Size-wise it is true to size.

I'd looked at swimsuits in the shops because my old one had gone rotten, but I was not prepared to pay the silly prices some retailers wanted, and in the budget shops, the quality didn't seem to be great. I should just have stayed at home and looked on Amazon. This Speedo costume is excellent for me to plough up and down my local pool doing lengths, and it is claimed that the Endurance fabric is designed to prevent it going rotten so quickly. I will report back after a few months - but so far so good! I like the style of the swimsuit with the cross over back which means i'm not worrying about the shoulder straps slipping down, and the leg cut is just right, and not too high.

I'll be honest, despite all the excellent reviews here, I was slightly dubious about what this swimsuit was going to be like when it arrived. However, I have been pleasantly surprised. I don't know where else you'll get a swimsuit of any descent sort for this price and then this sports the reputable Speedo brand as well .. brilliant bargain! Again, when I opened the package I was disappointed to note the front was not lined but it's of such good quality there simply seems to be no need. With the highish front and high back there is some wriggling to be done to get into it but once on it's very comfortable. I will agree if you're on the tall side you may find the body too short but, being 5' 3",

This is a stretchy polyester one-piece swimsuit. Some reviewers have complained about quality, but we’ve seen no issues with that so far. The seams are very thoroughly stitched, and they’ve done a pretty good job with lining up the stripes on the different panels of our black and whited swimsuit. There is no lining, except through the gusset. The fabric is opaque though. The only thing we aren’t keen on is the slightly scratchy backing on the Speedo logo.Ours was a UK size 12, which we found quite a tight fit, which is no bad thing if you are doing serious swimming. If you are larger about the bust, then this swimsuit might not offer the coverage you need. Elsewhere it offers better coverage,

Was really worried about purchasing this item as I've never owned a Speedo swimming costume before so wasn't sure on what size I would be. I've tried other brands on in shops before and found my normal size to be too small or really see-through.I looked on the Speedo website at this exact costume and looked at the sizing chart. I'm normally an 8-10 sometimes even a 6-8 depending on the clothing.After reading reviews online a lot of people said about the item being too small or too see through. I decided to play it safe and go for a size (or two!) up from my normal clothing size so ordered a 34 which is basically a UK 12.I ordered it late afternoon and it arrived the next day to my surprise!

Fantastic budget swimsuit! I bought this because it was a good make and an even better price. I go to Aquafit class 3x per week and have had quite a few complimentary comments. The material is plenty thick enough - I would say thicker than average for a sports swimsuit. It covers up your chest very well so that no cleavage is on view. There is no "hidden support" but as it's a tight sports fit that isn't necessary. The last thing you want is a bra style support that moves about as you exercise. Also good when swimming. Very good quality and comes in an attractive range of colours. I went for blue as it was the cheapest but it looks really nice.

I’m a upper size 10 and so brought a size 10 swim suit. This was a mistake in this Brand. The item that arrived stating it was a size 10 only but it fitted my friend who was a size 8.Here’s the reason it gets a 5 star. I went about the process of returning the suit and I was given an option to replace it with a bigger size. I selected a size 12. The new one was sent out immediately and I was charged the difference (only a couple of pounds more) I sent the old one back through the amazon locker.When the new one arrived it fit fairly well. My hopes are to loose a little weight and tone up. At the end of this process the suit should fit brilliantly.

I have been buying this specific swimsuit for many years now. I swim approx. 4 - 5 miles a week and this is the ONLY swimsuit I wear to do so. I NEVER wash it in a washing machine but will simply rinse it through, with a bit of shower gel, when I have my after-swim shower. It really doesn't need anything more than that. Despite almost daily wear, this swimsuit will hold it's shape without disintegration from the chlorine, for well over a year and often over two years.PLEASE BE AWARE that I'm usually a size 8/10 (I'm pear shaped), but with this specific costume, I always have to buy a UK size 36/14!!!!!!! A bit mad, but that's the one that fits.

The most difficult part in purchasing a swimsuit online is the fit. I did expect a slightly larger size, but I can still wear it quite comfortably. The different sizing between countries makes it hard to judge. I wanted a size 14 which is what I buy in Australia, if I am fortunate enough to find a pair in one of the stores near where I live. The appearance however is smart and understated which is what I like. So many of the shops these days just stock the very brightly coloured, patterned swimsuits which I don't like. The general cut and style is beautiful and I will always stay with speedo which I have been wearing for around fifty years.

I have no problem with the item purchased. However, not only was the item not "handed to resident", i.e. me, as was claimed on the email confirmation of delivery, but it was also left next door on a wall where any passer-by on the main road could have stolen it. I received no hand-written card to say the item had been delivered elsewhere. If it had not have been for the quick-thinking of another neighbour of mine who saw the parcel as she walked past, took it for safe keeping and herself left me a note on my front door to explain what had happened, I would have been none the wiser and would have assumed it had not been delivered.

I always wear swimming costumes as after having 4 children, my belly is more like a A to Z map so needs to be covered up.I was surprised as this one came and it didn’t go any where near me so the sizing was not that good at all but apart from that it would have been a great swimming costume.Very basic, nice neck line, thin shoulder straps and a cut out back all in a stylish navy colour.As this didn’t actually fit me I passed this to my sister and it fitted her perfectly, she said it was very comfortable, supported the bits it needed to support, quick drying and with its chlorine resistance the colour don’t fade.

Appearance - this is more of a practical suit than a suit to look good in. The legs are slightly high cut which is more flattering on some people than others. I do like the racerback style straps. It does make the suit a bit fiddly to get into but it means your arms can move freely when you swim and you aren't worried about the straps falling down.Fit - the fit was okay but did seem to come up slightly small. I would pick a size up next time.Fabric - this fabric is good quality but I would have preferred a thicker lining and a bit more built-in support for your bust. It did wash well so I think it will last.

The 'Speedo Women’s Essential Endurance+ Medallist' swimsuit is OK for general recreational swimming and training, both indoors and outdoors, and the X-back means the straps stay up when doing butterfly.The fit on a normal size 12 UK (Speedo 34) is correct, however climbing into it can be challenging for the less supple, and some swimmers might find the leg side-cut is too high.The Endurance+ fabric is a bit thin and while there is the usual lining between the legs there is no reinforcement around the bust, so it is only suitable in the most opaque and darkest colours.

Speedo Women's Essential Endurance+ Medalist Swimming Costume for Women.£ I received this this in Black in a size 34 is a size 12, but when when I tried it on it was too tight, so these are clearly a small fit!The swimming costume itself feels nice to the touch, it has the speedo logo just above the chest part of it.It's made of neoprene.Speedo have been around for as long as I can remember, I can remember wearing a similar costume to this and by speedo many years ago for when we had swimming at school.It's a lovely costume let down by the sizing!

Functional swimsuit for serious swimmers. Chlorine resistant and quick drying with an embroidered logo centrally on the chest.I really dislike it when iron-on logos are used on sports clothing: a few washes and the logo starts looking worse for wear by peeling and cracking, consequently shortening the lifespan of the product as its starts looking prematurely old. This swimsuit doesn't have that issue.There is no additional liner fabric/support to the chest. Depending on your personal preference: making it more streamline; or less supportive.
