As expected, this is a quality, practical and functional, well-made swimsuit from Speedo and replaces one I bought over 20 years ago. Yes - 20 years of albeit-light wear and apart from losing some of its shape and stretch it is still in use and a testament to the quality materials used and how well made these costumes are.This is made from polyester which gives a good, close and stretchy fit then dries quickly after wearing either for a dip in the sea, swim in a chlorinated pool or a hand or machine wash. The care instructions advise rinsing in cold water after use and, whenever possible, I have always done this and I'm sure this contributes to a swimsuit's longevity.Size-wise it is true to size.

I'd looked at swimsuits in the shops because my old one had gone rotten, but I was not prepared to pay the silly prices some retailers wanted, and in the budget shops, the quality didn't seem to be great. I should just have stayed at home and looked on Amazon. This Speedo costume is excellent for me to plough up and down my local pool doing lengths, and it is claimed that the Endurance fabric is designed to prevent it going rotten so quickly. I will report back after a few months - but so far so good! I like the style of the swimsuit with the cross over back which means i'm not worrying about the shoulder straps slipping down, and the leg cut is just right, and not too high.

This is a stretchy polyester one-piece swimsuit. Some reviewers have complained about quality, but we’ve seen no issues with that so far. The seams are very thoroughly stitched, and they’ve done a pretty good job with lining up the stripes on the different panels of our black and whited swimsuit. There is no lining, except through the gusset. The fabric is opaque though. The only thing we aren’t keen on is the slightly scratchy backing on the Speedo logo.Ours was a UK size 12, which we found quite a tight fit, which is no bad thing if you are doing serious swimming. If you are larger about the bust, then this swimsuit might not offer the coverage you need. Elsewhere it offers better coverage,

Fantastic budget swimsuit! I bought this because it was a good make and an even better price. I go to Aquafit class 3x per week and have had quite a few complimentary comments. The material is plenty thick enough - I would say thicker than average for a sports swimsuit. It covers up your chest very well so that no cleavage is on view. There is no "hidden support" but as it's a tight sports fit that isn't necessary. The last thing you want is a bra style support that moves about as you exercise. Also good when swimming. Very good quality and comes in an attractive range of colours. I went for blue as it was the cheapest but it looks really nice.

I’m a upper size 10 and so brought a size 10 swim suit. This was a mistake in this Brand. The item that arrived stating it was a size 10 only but it fitted my friend who was a size 8.Here’s the reason it gets a 5 star. I went about the process of returning the suit and I was given an option to replace it with a bigger size. I selected a size 12. The new one was sent out immediately and I was charged the difference (only a couple of pounds more) I sent the old one back through the amazon locker.When the new one arrived it fit fairly well. My hopes are to loose a little weight and tone up. At the end of this process the suit should fit brilliantly.

I have been buying this specific swimsuit for many years now. I swim approx. 4 - 5 miles a week and this is the ONLY swimsuit I wear to do so. I NEVER wash it in a washing machine but will simply rinse it through, with a bit of shower gel, when I have my after-swim shower. It really doesn't need anything more than that. Despite almost daily wear, this swimsuit will hold it's shape without disintegration from the chlorine, for well over a year and often over two years.PLEASE BE AWARE that I'm usually a size 8/10 (I'm pear shaped), but with this specific costume, I always have to buy a UK size 36/14!!!!!!! A bit mad, but that's the one that fits.

The most difficult part in purchasing a swimsuit online is the fit. I did expect a slightly larger size, but I can still wear it quite comfortably. The different sizing between countries makes it hard to judge. I wanted a size 14 which is what I buy in Australia, if I am fortunate enough to find a pair in one of the stores near where I live. The appearance however is smart and understated which is what I like. So many of the shops these days just stock the very brightly coloured, patterned swimsuits which I don't like. The general cut and style is beautiful and I will always stay with speedo which I have been wearing for around fifty years.

I have no problem with the item purchased. However, not only was the item not "handed to resident", i.e. me, as was claimed on the email confirmation of delivery, but it was also left next door on a wall where any passer-by on the main road could have stolen it. I received no hand-written card to say the item had been delivered elsewhere. If it had not have been for the quick-thinking of another neighbour of mine who saw the parcel as she walked past, took it for safe keeping and herself left me a note on my front door to explain what had happened, I would have been none the wiser and would have assumed it had not been delivered.

I swim every day for about 30 minutes and spend 15 in the jucuzzi (both chlorinated) and one of these costumes lasts me a minimum of two years and probably longer but after two years it tends to start to thin slightly and bag a bit. It gets a rinse on the floor of the shower after every swim and 10 second spin and i let it dry naturally (never in the sunshine or on the radiator). Friends that I swim with wear ordinary costumes that last barely 3 months as the chlorine gets to them. This costume is not affected by the chlorine.

Really good quality & very comfortable. I swim twice a week & had been buying cheap suits but found the fit & fabric quality not great. After reading the reviews, I ordered a few sizes up in this one. I usually take a size 10 in clothes but ordered a size 14 and it fits well. The straps don't dig in, there's enough stretch in the body (although I'm only 5'3") and I especially like that the gusset is quite wide. Other suits I've bought have rode up really badly between the legs & felt very revealing!

I usually buy size 10 tops and size 12 bottoms. Bought a size 12 to be on the safe side and when I tried it on, it seemed to hunch me over because it was too small.I returned it for free and ordered a size 14 which works much better, even though I'm usually size 10 top (shorter body, longer legs). New size doesn't make me have double bums.I feel like the legs are a bit higher rise too, but it's ok for me. There's no double layer so if you're feeling cold it's visible...

I took the risk and ordered this even though the sizes were confusing. I looked on the Speedo website and went for a size up. I'm a size 13 (yes inbetween!) and went for the 38 inch. It's a good quality costume and when it arrived the label says GB 16. It's tight! Considering it's supposed to be a size up. Had I bought my own size it would have been returned. I'll wear it as it's only for a few laps after my gym session and to sit in a sauna! But beware they run small. :)

This is a lovely soft fabric and the suit is really well made - as I'd probably expect at this price point. It's beautifully cut - and a true fit on the torso - it hasn't been cut for the more generously endowed, which is a point to bear in mind when ordering - it's definitely primarily made for sport. The strap design means they stay put when swimming and it does dry quickly as billed. A good choice for serious swimming - it wouldn't look out of place on a beach either.

Once again great service from Amazon, really good price, didn't want to pay too much and the item was delivered quickly.The suit itself is really comfortable, I really like the back as I often have problems with straps falling down which does not happen with this style. Also the legs aren't too high which is good. The only slight thing is it's quite short in the body so ends up pretty low across the bust, but not indecent.

My partner is the one who is using this so these are mostly her words. This is a quality swimming costume with a close fit and ideal for regular swimmers. She is a size 10 in clothes but usually goes up a size in swimsuits. This size (34 or 12) fits her well. It is quite snug across the chest. It is a simple design with a well fitting back straps. It dries quickly. I have to say it does look good on her too!
