Here's what I bought that helped me get from "afraid to put my head under water" to "swimming regularly and feeling much less pain":Finis Swimmer's Snorkel, BlueThe most important item I got was the Finis Swimmer's Snorkel. This thing makes you look really weird, but wow, it transformed me from being terrified of swimmming to feeling really comfortable in the water and looking forward to my swim sessions. At first I felt embarrassed about wearing it and how other swimmers would judge me for looking so strange, but I decided that my health was more important. I'm not looking to win an Olympic medal. I really didn't want to spend time and lessons on learning proper breathing technique since I was really just looking to improve my fitness. It took me 1 swim session to get used to the snorker, but by the end of the session, I was really glad to have it. It made my progress and improvement go a lot faster. If you only buy one item to get started in swimming, I recommend this one. Get a nose clip too. (see below)Speedo Competition Nose Clip, CharcoalI realize I win no fashion contests with a nose clip in, but I wasn't able to use the swimming snorkel without a nose clip - without the nose clip, I was choking in water. This clip stays well on a narrow nose.Silicone Swim Cap for Long Hair (Black) - Unisex for Women and Men - With Ergonomic Ear Pockets to Cover Ears - Greater Durability Than Latex SwimmingThis is a great cap for folks with long hair - really easy to tuck all your hair in.Aqua Sphere Kayenne Lady Swim Goggle with Clear Lens, Trasp/FuxiaThese googles are easy to put on, they don't leak any water in, and they make me feel more secure when I put my head under water. These fit a small head/narrow face well.Speedo Competition II Kickboard (Blue/Grey)In my first weeks of swimming, I could not make it across the length of the pool, so I stuck this kickboard under my torso to make it easier for me to stay afloat. I was wearing a rash guard shirt, so I just put it up my shirt and it stayed put. I now use it for warming up and focusing on my leg strength during part of my swim session.Speedo Ergo Ear PlugsI tried several brands of waterproof earplugs such as Mac's, etc, but none of them worked. These Speedo Ergo ear plugs are the only ones that stay in my ears and actually keep water out. Keeping water out of my ears helps me feel more secure to put my head under water.

I am so happy with these goggles!!!I was a bit skeptical about paying almost £15, but my goodness it was WELL WORTH IT! I have been swimming twice a week from September 2013 and the chlorine was beginning to sting and dry out my eyes more and more as the weeks went on, so I decided to search for a good pair of goggles as a pair my friend had lent me were letting in water and this was defeating the object.I have been using these for 3 weeks now and since I went through all the reviews for inspiration so I thought it only right to do one myself and sing about how good this product is.These goggles have a button at the sides of each eye piece to adjust to the tightness level that you required whether you have them on your head or not, which is great because if you wear a swimming cap it can be tight enough under there! So you want the optimal tightness but you can have this in your control. The goggles suction to your eye area but not were you feel like you cannot breath and this is what keep them WATERPROOF and they are!My advice would be "Splash out" lol and buy these great goggles, I would be extremely surprised if you were disappointed with them Thank You Aqua Sphere!!!!.

This is my 3rd pair of these goggles - having found a style that fits, I make sure I always have a spare pair in my drawer for when the current pair need replacing. I've a fairly small face so the ladies fit works for me. The adjustable strap is good but I always get marks around my eyes regardless. The anti-fog is good but does wear out over time - I don't know if this is the same for any make but I've come to accept that I need to replace the goggles when this gets so bad I can't see after just a few lengths. The main advantage for me is having found a design that rarely leaks. I can put up with a bit of fog but not an eyeful of water (as I've found with other makes and designs).I like the pink and also the blue glitter.Overall: worth a try if you are struggling to find a pair that fits a smaller face.

I have to say this is so far one of the best i have used. Very comfy around the eyes. Easy to adjust on the side. The clear lens also gives it very good visibility under water (also wide angle). At times though it does leak. This could be due to my bad habit of removing the goggles to rest my eyes with my older goggles. At times it doesn't leak. I wouldn't give up on it yet as I feel I may need time to get used to it. It does fit the shape of my face very well. The shape of the lens, how well it kinda sits close to the face..all in all...very comfy. All of my previous goggles were speedo and this is my first aquasphere google. Previous reviews do mention about not tightening it too much as this may negatively affect the seal.Am gonna try to get the right balance next time I hit the pool!

After my last pair of goggles gave up the ghost and fogged up after every 10 lengths I spent a lot of time researching on Amazon for new ones! These seemed to fit the bill all round and I have not been disappointed. They are extremely comfortable, they stay in position without moving around or becoming baggy over time. They do not fog up or leak, I can say hand on heart out of the 15 pairs of goggles I have owned these are the best I have ever found and I have worn them for both outdoor and indoor swimming. My only criticism would be that the pink detail is a little bit too much! and I did not give them five stars because they seem to leave a mark around my eyes which is strange because theydo not feel tight at all and are incredibly comfortable.Overall a fantastic product

I love these! I wear contacts (I know I shouldn't be wearing them while swimming but I'm blind as a bat). So when I started adding swimming to my workout routine, I bought some basic speedo goggles but they kept fogging up and that was getting to be a hassle since I did try using anti fog spray but that's just useless. When I saw these, I thought why not and they don't fog up!! ??I did accidentally wipe the inside and that spot fogs up now but these are worth buying a replacement when the time comes. And the seal is great! I jump in the pool dry with them on, do a few dips, come up and readjust and my eyes are perfectly dry.I can see how some people have the eye lash issue but I have short lashes so it works for me

In fact, the seal may be a bit too good for me. It sounds funny, but very true. The goggles fit my face very well, and I like the big size of the lenses to see through. There is good peripheral vision with them. The seal is very good, no leaking at all. The strap is fully adjustable on both sides and has slides to secure the extra if you have any. The middle of the strap is split which works great for me as I have long hair. The Con is that when I push them on my face, I fan feel my eyelashes againts the lenses and feels like they are too close to my eyes. They come in a hard case to store them and is perfect for trekking them around in my bag so they wont get damaged or the straps tied up insomething else.

I am a regular swimmer and tend to swim an hour or so at a time, goggles are the bain of my swimming! Never yet finding a pair that do not interrupt my swim because of fogging up or leaking. The are fab I have had them a couple of months now and have had no problems with them at all. In fact they are so good that I made my husband get a pair as he does proper swimming training and competitions withthe local club and he also rates them very highly.I found out about them from reviews with Wired.com, they got Mark Foster to review some the reportedly best goggles and these were his the ones he said he would pick out of the bunch after testing them all, so definitely worth the money.

I bought these goggles after reading the reviews about comfort and I wasn't disappointed.I have used Speedo and Adidas goggles in the past both of which have needed constant adjustment during my weekly swim. I have had to clear them from leaking water and have very bad goggle marks from needing to have them so tight. These goggles are such an improvement. Very comfortable and fit very well around the eye sockets. They only needed 1 slight adjustment during the 1 mile swim and left limited marks on my face as they don't have to be quite so tight as the previous ones.I was dubious at spending £15 on a pair of goggles without seeing them first but I am very happy that I did.

A replacement pair as my husband is now using my pair. They are the ONLY set of goggles that do not leak. They are easy to adjust and fit without feeling like they are going to squeeze the top of my head off.My husband borrowed them and although technically 'Women's' goggles they worked for him too - They didn't leak. The anti-fogging isn't really true - they do fog up. A bit of spit wiped round the lens does help but after swimming about a mile they have by then misted up.Our son has just bought a set of Aqua Sphere goggles from the same supplier and he is very pleased with them. Quick delivery, well packed and good price.

Having just started learning to swim I had No idea what kind of Goggles I should purchase as I'd never had to bother with them until now!I looked on Amazon and read mixed reviews regarding these particular goggles and decided to buy myself a pair and am pleased to say I wasn't unhappy with the purchase. They fit really well and left No marks round my eyes and so far I have had No leakage at all which is great for me as I tend to spend a lot of time with my head under the water.Brilliant protective case which has kept my Goggles scratch free and they still look as good as new !Highly reccomened these brilliant goggles !

I purchased these for my 12 year old daughter. I typically just buy the cheap $3 goggles at the big box store. After going thru several pairs in the past couple of years, I decided to splurge. These goggles are excellent. They provide a much better, more comfortable fit for my daughter. No issues with fogging or getting water under the lenses. She swims several times a week and they have held up for the past couple of months quite well. I will definitely spend the extra money and get these goggles again in the future (once she inevitably loses the pair she has).

Fits very well. Used for 3 months (swimming about 2km a week) and still no leakage. Very easy to adjust and no 'panda eye' marking on face. Great field of vision too and haven't noticed the lenses fogging up. Have to say that the lenses are soft and flexible and after three months of use I have noticed the frames wearing out. Don't think they are as sturdy as some of the other goggles but despite this still 5 stars for comfort, fit and function.Came with its own case by the way, an added bonus.Would buy again if this bites the dust.

I do a lot of swimming and have struggled to find nice googles that fit well and dont mist up but these are perfect. Very easy to adjust-a small button on either side releases the strap. The actual eye bit seems to have a 'suction' effect which creates a seal around the eye to stop water getting in. Only one small thing-you do get left with goggle marks for a couple of hours but this wears off. Just remember not to go swimming straight in front of going out! Well worth the money and now my Husband wants the mens' version.

These are very nice goggles, except I was looking for a pair that would not leave embedded marks on my mature face and eyes. Unfortunately, these did not meet my needs. I tried to loosen the strap, but then they would leak. I tried many adjustments, but they continued to leave marks under my eyes. If I did not already have many pairs that left marks, I would have kept them... But I ended up returning them and I am on the hunt for a pair that will not continue to make the bags under my eyes worse.
