Great mp3 player that plays songs in high quality. Came in appropriate packaging. Love the blue colour chosen, it's a nice touch. Can store up to 900 songs. Easy and clear to use. Can see which songs are playing clearly on screen. Basic functionality, buttons to go back or forward etc. Lasts a long time before needing to charge. Item is as described. I bought this to replace my old mp3, due to a chronic ear infection I needed a product that I could use with an over the ear headphones.Very happy!

However, Argos has added in the wrong description for this product both on the website and in the catalog. This product neither has a touchscreen or a built in speaker. This was probably meant for the more expensive Walkmans. After a few weeks of use, I found that there were a few small scratches on the device. This is with casual use (bus, gym etc.) but this doesn't effect the sound quality. Another irritation is that dust gets trapped around the screen. However, still fantastic little device.

Perfect for long car journeys with bored children. Simple to set up through your computer to transfer music and easy for my children to use (9 and 10 years old). The hold button is great so they don't accidentally get switched on or change function while you're listening. You can listen to your music by artist or have the whole lot on random. On a recent daytrip they were used intermittently and still had a charge when we arrived home. For hundreds of songs, there's nothing better.

Very nice looking player, easy to use and the screen is bright and informative. The bass boost function works really well and the included earphones are actually really decent. I use it at the gym because it's lightweight and very simple to use, unlike a smart phone which can easily get damaged in your pocket. If it had a built in clip it would be even better, as personally I would find that pretty handy during my workouts. I use a Linux PC, it works with Mac and Windows too. Drag and drop.

Brilliant little mp3 player. Easy to set up, just copy files straight from computer then put them in new folders on mp3. Just like making up playlists, simples.Good sound quality, nice little headphones, bass boost means it packs a punch. Battery life is good. I got 20hrs+ out of it first time. Then all it needs is a 5min reharge to give it another 4hrs of playback.Downside is it doesn't haven't a clip, and if you are outside in the sun it is hard to see the screen to select your tunes.

Good all round mp3 player. Headphones supplied werent the best so I use my apple iPod ones. Sound quality is pretty good but doesn’t go as loud as I’d like, and the shuffle setting doesn’t seem to be completely shuffle-worthy haha... Even though it does mix songs up it always mixes them up in the same order so you know what song is coming next unfortunately!Apart from these minor issues it’s a great all round player and second only to the iPod shuffle (but they don’t make these anymore).

I bought this as I didn't like to walk along with my phone in my hand as an easy target! It's easy to put music on and bands and artists are in alphabetical order. It's a bit fiddly finding which button does what, particularly if you can't be bothered to read the instructions, which i couldn't. Music capacity is pretty good at 3.4gb,up to 800 songs, that remains to be seen.So far 168 songs and 1.2gb used.Needs good headphones as these are too tinny, and don't stay in very well.Nice colour :P

While the headphones are somewhat "cheap," I have had no problems with the headphone jack (which gives a satisfying "snap" noise when the headphones go in) and both ear pieces work adequately, giving surprisingly good sound quality. The design is good and easy to use, though the cap where the USB is can be a little loose but this isn't a major issue as it doesn't come off unless pulled. There is NO clip however (see pics), though this isn't an issue for me personally. Overall great mp3!

I had one of these before which I accidentally damaged so continued listening to music on my phone. I missed Sony sound so I was delighted to see they still made these which are a smaller and more affordable option and also more convenient for me than using the phone. It's not exactly the same as my old one so it took a while to work out and I needed to watch a couple of YouTube videos because the instruction booklet isn't very good. Now I'm very happy and would recommend this product.

The Sony Walkman 4GB MP3 Player is a good, very compact item. Easy to understand / use, gives clear sound when connected to a AUX input (with not high but more than adequate volume). The downside I've found is it's 'shuffle' feature which is not actually random as it plays them in it's own same order each time - of 120 tracks installed I still keep hearing the same ones. Can't seem to alter that which is a shame as it means I'll only ever use it when other options aren't feasible.

Despite not mentioning it anywhere on the box, this product DOES work with a Mac.Have been using it with my Mac (running OSX Yosemite) flawlessly, great for those who dislike iTunes, such as myself. One thing to note is that it won't play iTunes purchases unless converted over to MP3. (Which is easy to do and there are many pieces of free software available to do this.)Built well, but could do with the cap being a little more tight to the player's body, but otherwise great!

Really like this mp3 player. Great sound quality and nice and small for when I'm running. Yes there arent many extra features but theres plenty in my opinion- shuffle, play by artist, play by album- if you want more you'll need to play more but as a little take along in the car or out and about, or to save phone memory it's perfect. Great colour and so easy to use. Plug it straight into the computer, no wires needed, and drag and drop the tunes you want. Easy. Highly recommend.

Always loved how compact the device is, yet with a great quality of sound. I preferred the older design with the round control dial and the button that let you skim through the music, along with the LED's that flashed in time with the music. Nostalgia ! It's easy to sync your music library across to it. The Sony syncs the music files in alphabetical order and that's how it re-plays them. However if you go into the music settings on the device you can set it to play on shuffle.

Have had many MP3 Players over the years, this ranks very high because of its compactness and relative easiness of use. Never the less, because I use it for audio books, almost exclusively, I do find that little "ZAPPING IN/OUT" facility intensely annoying. When you hit the button by accident in the dark while in bed, it certainly wakes you up as you need to try and find out where you were recently listening. No easy task.In spite of that, still rate this device very highly

This Walkman does exactly what it is supposed to. The menus are surprisingly simple and intuitive to navigate. It's not massively loud. Only just loud enough at maximum volume to hear on a busy street or on the Tube.I'd say the most disappointing thing is the random play algorithm. Lots of repetition and many tracks never seemed to be played. I've had to abandon random play and change how I listen to my music.Other than that, a very decent machine at a very decent price.
