My first experience with the iPod family was when. I had an iPhone 3GS. I still have this phone but I began to realise that 16GB was no where near enough space, so I went and got an iPod 160. I think I was blown away by the amount of space and how it has its own equaliser systems so you can have your music just the way you want it. Ok it doesn't have Bluetooth but there enough packs out there that you can buy for this option. It links up with my car perfectly as well as those iPod dock sound systems. I've been in traffic jams many a time and you can just plug this into your car and watch a movie, tv show or just chill to your music. I can understand the screen may be a bit too small for some people, but I think I 'm too in love with this thing to notice. I wish they had other colours in this model than just black and silver like the nanos and the newer iPod touches. How the iPod sounds depends on the speakers headphones you're using. For some people who say that the sound isn't that good then I recommend to go to the menu and change the equilizers and your headphone or speakers. I love this iPod so much that I have 2 of them. Syncing to iTunes isn't a problem. It's quick and effortless. If people have any problems then give apple a call. When my iPhone wasn't syncing it was just a software thing. They are very light and you can just pop them in your pocket or gym thingy when you're running or at the gym Take your music and your media world with you. Get one, you won't regrette it.Read full review...

I have now 5 of these in my family mostly 120gb for the kids but 160 for us.I hold 500gb of Itunes which allows us all to swap and change music and films as and when we want basically instantly. The sound quality is awesome as you can change the equiliser as to how you feel unlike other mp3 players where they only offer isolated sound.A must for most nowadays as the ipod is ever increasingly getting popular. You can and probably will start with a small one which is a good idea however once hooked you will be wanting to get something bigger to store all your stuff.Great for watching movies through your Tv with the Av lead which gives crystal pictures and audio playback. You can mount this in adock which can be purchased to suit most budgets, and also transmit it with a radio transmitter to your car stereo,i personally bluetooth mine and playback is excellent, all these little gadgets are cheap enough.Lastly o truly ruggable item of kit as they take a little hammer for those that are more robust in their life.Definitely a gadget every house should have that can be enjoyed by all at all ages.Read full review...

"I love my iPod" - something I find myself saying, every time I use it. But that's down to the music, isn't it?The weight is not a draw back, it just feels sturdy and stays put in your hand (although small hands may struggle, kids). The memory is amazing, the iPod syncs quickly despite the amount of memory used, I can adjust the brightness of the screen (great for late night listening), easily mark songs for deletion or playlists, and sound quality (headphones) is lovely. The only drawback with this, and any iPod, is the quality of sound when not using headphones - mp3 just does not have the detail there, so pure music lovers will be disappointed. It's hard to find a reasonably priced docking station that can produce non-tinny sounds.Bit of a let down really - so much awesome music but it all sounds crap when played out loud.Read full review...

To sum up my ipod-I LOVE IT!! I am not a tech head,my teens had to show me how to itune it!Even I managed to do it so it must be easy! I am a night shift worker and my ipod, now with 5,000 tunes on it,is a lifesaver! With the shuffle on its real Forrest Gump-"You never know what you're gonna get" which is great. The battery easily lasts for all four of the ten hour shifts & the robust manufacture, without being the size of a housebrick, means no problem stuffed in my pocket.I think everyone should own one, music wherever you are,the chance to sing out of tune to annoy your workmates but most of all to put a smile on your face as the songs come on with all the great memories of what you were doing or where you were when they first burst into your life!If music be the food of love my ipod's a donut!!Read full review...

I bought this to replace my 2 year old 8GB black 2nd generation iPod Touch as it was full up.160GB should be enough to keep me going for a few more years. This generation iPod is a little over half of the thickness of my previous 'pod. Other small improvements are Genius mixes and a slightly better screen with the 'cover flow' function scrolling random album covers across the screen. Finally the screen is now split with the menu on the left and graphics on the right.Unless you need the greater capacity of the 160GB drive, I would say there is no compelling reason to upgrade. For new buyers, if you have a lot of music and want it all with you wherever you go this is the best option.Less music and the Nano or Touch may suit you better.

Buying a second hand iPod classic is always a bit of a lottery, but buying it three months AFTER Apple had discontinued it was possibly madness! .... and to get it for £173 when there were opportunists asking for £500? Well I must have been crazy! But no. It was in great condition, and surprise, surprise, even the battery was good. What a great player. 2500 albums always in my pocket. Absolute paradise.I was debating whether I should say it was one of my better buys, but in all honesty that would not have been correct; it was my BEST BUY.......EVER! :-)

Having been an iPod Touch owner for years I was dismayed when my iPodTouch failed and died. I decided I would go for a more robust and well documented version in an iPod Classic. The battery life is excellent, the memory too and the build quality is excellent and very stylish. Now that Apple have decided to discontinue the iPod Classic- crazy in my estimation- I hunted for a good, well recommended and reliable source for a refurbished iPod C.I have been very satisfied and delighted with this iPod and i cannot recommend it more.

I wanted a device which could hold about 150GB of audio material from my website AtmaDharma.org and which could be easily used by people who are in their 60s & 70s (so not geeks!). The iPod meets both requirements pretty well. The one downside I have found is that the display is a bit difficult for people who are long-sighted (mostly due to age). The solution I have found is to use a credit card sized fresnel lens to help magnify the display. So if you have the same 2 requirements as I did then this device is a must-have.

Sick of carrying all those Cd's round in the car? Buy one of these. I uploaded pretty much every CD that I have ever bought (which runs into several 100) and still have room for more. Plug it into the Auxillary switch in your car and non stop music wherever you go. I haven't yet investigated all of the finer features of the IPod as I haven't had the time but overall I am really pleased with it so far. Compact and simple to use.

For someone who deals with ipods everyday (me) I would personally say that this ipod classic is amongst the best Apple have produced apart from the ipod 5th generation video classic which is slightly better in my opinion. The ipod classic 7th generation is a quality piece of kit with a nice bright lcd screen, good battery life, good sound quality & a nice sturdy frontplate.Would recommend this ipod to anybody

Apple iPod classic is the only iPod to me and it is simply fantastic. The battery life for me lasts days and the design is simple and easy to use as are the features and software. I find that even if accidentally dropped the iPod does not break and is quite tough and bulky which is an advantage compared to newer models. I do not dislike anything about this model only the fact that it has been discontinued.

Great working condition, the sound is really good for the product of that age and by heck the battery life is unbelievably brilliant have used all day and the battery life doesn't seem to have deminished at all.Size capacity is what I needed and had to get this classic just to fit a tenth of my music but well worth the buy...

In previous reviews I read that people thought the volume was too low and that the clicker was to loud, don't be put of by this they can both be adjusted. This is a replacement of my lost Generation 6, the graphics and colour are great, volume fine, it sinced real quickly to put my 7000 songs back on. As I said I love it!
