Honestly, since December 2015 we have owned four bins. We left in our old house our 7 yr old simple human bin and foolishly throughh that £100.00 was too much to pay so bought a less expensive bin. Big mistake, we have paid vastly more. SoI was a little concerned about this new bin and despite our lay out thus far still felt £100.00 too much to pay. I take it back this bin is fabulous. Not only do the bags fit but the lid opens and closes as required. I can put wet refuse into my bin without getting into a mess.Since 2015 previous bins have not been simplehuman.Bin one opened remotely and closed when it felt like it.

This is the best investment in the dustbin made thus far. The semi-round back fits in well and does not protrude or look ugly, the brushed steel looks classy and it is easy to wipe. The interior is quite sturdy and neat, the bin liners is sturdy and I don't see a leak or spills. The bin liner fits in neat inside, and there's a cover inside that hides the bin liner and doesn't pop out. Pleased with the purchase.The only down side (not really a down side) is you'll have to use custom bin liners (code J) from Simplehuman and they're a tad expensive than the usual ones that you could get in super markets but I wouldn't recommend using the cheap ones,

So far there is nothing I don’t like about this bin. I first bought its 10 litre version and wanted one for my recycling to match. I was a little worried about spending £100 on a bin but after reading the reviews thought it may be better value in the long run. I’m not disappointed. This bin is very well made and feels sturdy. The brushed fingerprint proof stainless is exactly as described. I’ve always had a shiny stainless bin and spent ages cleaning and buffing with cleaners. This is a dream. I’m so impressed I’m going to add to my collection and get the 4.5ltr for the bathroom.

Even though its the most expensive bin Ive ever bought its certainly worth it. Its well made, not easily broken (like most bins) the custom sized bags are also expensive but fit the bin properly, dont split or bust or get stuck in the bin when you try and take them out. It makes it so much easier ! Because it doesnt split or leak the bin stays cleaner so doesnt smell and you havent got that horrible job of cleaning your bin out. Its easy to clean around the top as well, because there are no small crevices or rough areas. Highly recommended !

I really like the look and style of this can. My only complaints are its a little hard to snap closed the lid when changing the bags...not sure if im doing it wrong. As for bags i don't bother with the expensive branded bags... the kitchen kirkland bags from costco work perfect on this size!Secondly if you happen to get any kind of gunk in the lid latch it can make a creeking noise everytime it closes... i find I have to try cleaning it out to prevent that. Or if the kids would just put garbage away properly it wouldn't be an issue!

I'm enjoying using this bin. It's a lovely bin. It comes with 10 free Simplehuman bags, which are designed to get you addicted as they are great.The pedal is responsive, so you can open it right up or just a little. Occasionally the inside of the top smells as bit as it's plastic & absorbs the hot trash odour, but it cleans easily with a spritz of cleaning spray. When changing bags, close the retaining ring before letting the inner lid down to avoid the crunching sound.

I think this is a great product, a real upgrade from my old plastic garbage can. Straight forward and simple to use, the lid lowers slowly after you open it which is a handy feature as it gives you a couple seconds to put some extra trash in before it closes. Changing the garbage bags is easy however I have so far only been using the garbage bags that came with the bin. Hopefully regular bags will fit just as well.

Wanted a quality bin to replace cheap ones that always break. Build quality and looks are great. However when inserting a bag, the lid stays open and you have to force it to close with a lot of effort. I rang the makers and they said they are aware of this and it shouldn't break but would be covered by guarantee if it did - not re-assuring. It looks fantastic, and time will tell if it lasts.

I mean, let's be honest here, it's a lot of money for something that you throw your rubbish into isn't it? Having said that, I've bought loads of bins over the years and this one is sturdy, doesn't look awful and is easy to clean so I'm happy with it. The sample bin bags that came with it are good as they are string and fit the bin exactly but I draw the line at spending £25 for bin bags!

This is the best kitchen garbage can I have had.The foot pedal is wide and deep so opening the lid is easy.I love that it is stainless steel throughout, there is no plastic liner inside which is great as they always reek eventually and have to be replaced.The white garbage bag with the orange string from Costco work with this so you do not have to buy this companies super pricey bags.

This item is a very attractive replacement for our old 'flip top' bin. It appears to be very robust as advertised and the pedal and lid mechanism work really well. I have tried an ordinary swing bin liner and it seems to fit quite adequately so unlike a previous review I don't see the need to buy the rather expensive 'simplehuman' bin liners. Very pleased!

Been looking for a new kitchen bin for months but couldn’t find exactly what I was after. Found this in dunelm when visiting Livingston last weekend and thought I’d check out different prices online. Found it £5 cheaper with free next day delivery was amazon!! Winner winner. Absolutely love it! Comes with 10 free liners also.

Beautiful bin. Well made. Nice and easy to remove bin liners and they fit snug.Only complaint is - the top of the bin already has a small ding in it. Have no idea how or why it happened as we don’t put anything on top. In the case it did happen, would have thought the quality would withstand hail damage type dings.

Nice oval shaped bin stands up against wall, very good capacity top lid opens smoothly from foot pedal. Main top section lifts up by hand to fit waist bag when open fully it does jam up and makes a clonk to return down for normal use (not sure if it is meant to be so tight when returning main lid down.

Before buying this bin i never knew that it was possible to actually love a bin. It is big enough that i don't have to constantly empty it and it looks great tucked in the corner of my small kitchen. The build quality and design are excellent. I never thought i could rave about a bin and yet here i am.
