We have had many types of household bins in our home and all have been unsatisfactory in one way or another. My husband did some research and this bin got great reviews so we took the plunge and ordered. Our order arrived promptly and we have never looked back. The bin is sturdy and smart looking but most of all the opening is so big it makes clearing plates a joy as no mess around the bin or on the floor. We only have the bin a number of weeks but judging by the quality of the product I dont foresee any issues. I can highly recommend this product.

We've had the white/rose gold version for several years and it still works perfectly, albeit the 'rose gold' bits are looking more silver now. Our new puppy quickly figured out how to get into our recycling bin so we replaced it with the black version to match. We have always used the bespoke bags as they fit perfectly and are not that expensive. My only minor gripe is the top design; cleaning this part is fiddly and takes longer than it should. Hopefully our [growing] puppy does not realise what the pedal does, fingers crossed.

Pricey but not as expensive as my usual make (which I thought was the best). This is a great bin. I didn't want a battery lid as it would annoy me to have to change the batteries. The foot opening works great and it closes on its own slowly. I have bought the bags which are strong and obviously a good fit. The bin also came with a bag of bin liners. I should also add that it looks great. The base is strong plastic and I should end up with any dents as I have had with metal based bins and the shape is very neat.

Best kitchen waste bin I have experienced (I've tried many!)Very well thought-out design. Foot pedal easy and smooth, lid opens fully and a good width for easy discarding of rubbish, lid closes gently instead of crashing down. It is so easy to lift out a full bag and the refill bag storage/dispenser is really useful - nobody minds being faced with emptying this bin!It sits very close to the wall and looks neat and simply stylish. Friends are impressed.

The large mouth of this bin is making me very happy - I didn't know I wanted it until I had it :)Overall, it does seem to be better quality than the £30 bin I bought and looked at last time. Nice and stable pedalling, even when empty.Update : i’m still very happy with the bin after a year and a half. No problems.I spent a few months buying the fancy expensive bin liners. Now I just use black bin bags ( most normal white bin liners are too narrow )

Love it! Never been excited about a bin before. Ha ha. This beauty ticks all the boxes I had. It looks good, it's rectangular shape means it fits flat against the wall therefore takes up less floor space, the wide opening and foot pedal make it easier and less messy to scrape rubbish in to it. I also love that this bin came with a packet of liners, and has a pocket to keep them in, for easy access. Would definitely recommend this product! :)

I don't normally get excited about kitchen bins but this one is awesome! It looks very smart and I like that you cannot see the bag when the bin is shut. The bags that you use with this bin are so strong and the ties don't break. I also like how easy this bin is to wipe down and keep clean. I have bought a few simplehuman products now and I highly recommend this brand because the quality is excellent.

We've had this bin in grey, for nearly two years now and I'm still just as impressed with it. Easy to clean so it still looks brand new even with three children using it. The Simple Human bin bags really are worth the investment, nothing has yet leaked into the bottom of the bin as the liners fit perfectly. The liner holder in the back makes changing the bag so simple. Worth every penny!

A beautiful bin. Very larg so yiu mifht need to consider to buy strong trash bugs that can handle large wight. Strong metireals nice plaseholder for bugs and very easy ti replace. The only bad part i found is there a small area that is very hard to clean, and you will need to find creative ways to clean there. Although high recommended trash bin.

A really good bin, made well and works as expected. Only challenge I have found is that there’s a few bin liners that don’t appear to fit. This is the second SimpleHuman bin I’ve had and the first time I had problem getting liners that fit (other than their own branded ones which are a little on the expensive side, even if they are good quality.)

Love it, 5 year warranty and I doubt I will need it. Simple human bags are crazy money, particularly when a standard black liner can be used at a fraction on the price. The lip at the top is ace as it traps the bag and if you spend 5 seconds gathering a standard black bag to the back, you cannot see it when the lip is closed..

Very neat and easy to replace the bag with the second cover. it also allows the bin to remain open if needed without pressing the pedal (very useful for clearing dishes for example).I DON'T like the inner pocket for the rest of the bags. Because of it the interior of the bin is not smooth and it can reap a hole in the bag.

the simple human bins really are the best. After having one a few years ago, I have tried 2 other makes in between that did in no way come up to scratch. So have gone back to simple human and I shall continue to buy them in the future. No other bins match the ease of use, sturdiness and look.

I have this thing about bin bags showing this bin is perfect as the liner didn’t show! It’s very smart; black plastic but not cheap looking. I also like the soft close aspect although needs to be free standing not underneath worktop as this inhibits the open/close mechanism.

It's bin a long time, bin a long time, bin a long lonely lonely lonely lonely time. Previous one lasted many many years before the pedal hinge finally cracked. Could've bin my fault for stepping on it too hard in the drum solo. Bought another one. Would do it again. Rock on!
