I needed a good quality microphone that could be worn by a vocalist playing bass guitar at the same time.This would avoid the need for the artist to have her head in the same position all the tme near a fixed microphone.As the mic would be used in a home studio , the transmitter was not needed.I ordered the version fitted with an XLR plug so as as to connect to my Mackie mixer.The unit arrived in the quoted time and works very well.Be aware that the output is on the low side and requires a good microphone amplifier.(The Mackie is more than adequate !)

The usual high standard of delivery especially considering it came from China. I was worried there might be a customs charge but there wasn't. The headset is just what I wanted for using direct into my Tyros keyboard to make use of the vocal effects and does not produce the amount of feedback as from the boom mounted mics I've been using.If you're thinking of using this for the same reason you will need an extension XLR as the XLR lead is a little short.

Really difficult to find a wired headset for some reason. We bought this one, and 3 of us ended up using it on the gig night (for singing whilst drumming, it really is hard to beat). It is relatively expensive, but sound wise, I have nothing to complain about. The tiny wind shield and positioning on the face meant no plosive's or sibilance and the nice little clip on the xlr plug reduced the danger of wandering off and pulling out/damaging leads.

Very good indeed. Has a fairly high impedance, so best used with something like a voice enhancer, which seems to boost things up! Very comfortable to wear, and the mike follows you wherever you turn your head. Goodbye to glueing your lips to a stand mike! This is well worth the money for any performer.

The quality of the recordings with this microphone is excellent, it can even capture voice clearly in an environment with 90dB of background noise. The fit is quite tight though and the packaging is pretty industrial, don't expect a fancy box, just plain old white cardboard box.

Fantastic bit of kit. Should have invested in one long ago. Excellent performance and makes my job as a drummer a lot easier.Don’t even know it’s there. New found freedom whilst playing and quality audio from the mic.

I bought this head mic to plug in to my keyboard, works fine but a bit on the tinny side, after changing my graphics it seems better. when pluged directly in to a PA amp it was to quite,I could hardly hear it.

Very good product. Well made and everything i was expecting from Shure. It is as loud as an sm58 in a comparison test. It also has a major advantage in that it isn't made down to price in China!

After not to long the XLR has developed a bit of a crackle if your not careful with it, which is a bit of a pain because all you really want to do is stuff it in your pocket and crack on.

This is a great product but the output is a bit low. However this can be compensated for by cranking up the gain on the PA or pre-amp. Apart from that 100%!

Best buy, But the cable is very fragile, It could be cheaper as there is no carrying hard case for the price.I will say no more.

Excellent mike. Very robust. Doesn't pick up much feedback. Very comfortable to wear even for a hot, sweaty 2-hour gig in zurich.

Great quality mic, i use it when i play keys for vocals and also for on vocoder (Korg R3). Great Price as well

I like the ease of use and for me the sound quality is excellent. I can sing softly. It works.
