Sound is great with Bluetooth and equally good with 3.5mm headphone jack. At first I thought why this cost so much money and sound rubbish, I then looked up on how to wear these headphone properly and the results are amazing.Update!!!!!! 3 weeks into using these headphone I learnt that it has ultra low latency with aptX bluetooth USB donge. I got one from amazon to plug into my PC and gone the usual bluetooth voice and video delay. I now use these to play Apex and other first person shooting games, I can hear every ammo case drop and enemy foot steps. Amazing sound quality like I never heard before. I know these may not be gaming headphones but the quality of audio it gives is out of this world.IPhone user must use AAC to get the most out of the headphone, the normal SBC bluetooth connection don't do justice to the SE535 quality.Once properly in your ear and with the foam slightly squashed before plug into your ear it isolate the ambien noise completely. It does not do active noise cancelling but the isolation is perfect, I could not hear my finger snapping next to my ear once it is in my ear and music playing. The Bluetooth range in less than my other Bluetooth headsets, it gives my around 10m range but it does a very good job at holding signal. It did not cut out at all while I am playing music from my S8+ phone and iPad pro. The lag is minimal too which is handy for playing games via wireless. The high note and mid range is perfect for listening to music but I wish it has better bass, but this is the limitation of ear buds type of headset. For watching movie or gaming I choose my over ear headset instead. As a sport lover I like the design of these headphone, once seated correctly, it does not move or slide off. The wires are nicely tugged away and with the fastener at the back of the head it keeps all the loose wires to the minimum.Once full charge it plays around 8 hours of music, only takes around 1-2 hours to fully charged from flat battery. When switch on it will announce amount of battery in hours of playtime.

I was eager to try these headphones as, although I have used high quality headphones before, these have the highest headline price at a current and rather serious £449. These headphones have been around, in one form or another, since 2010 so their longevity rather speaks for itself. However, these are the recently introduced special edition in red.It was rather disconcerting to have to rip the box apart to gain access, but once inside you get the headphones with a nice, protective case plus two adapters and a variety of buds so that you can choose the most appropriate fit - it’s important to get this right as the noise cancelling feature which cuts out ambient noise is dependent on a good fit.I have been using headphones that fit on the outside of the ear canal recently rather than this set which fit inside but I adjusted easily to these. They are well designed and easy to keep clean which was a concern. Once I had found the correct fit I found them quite comfortable. The Se535s are light weight and produce a passive noise cancelling effect provided you have fitted the foam tightly into your ear. It’s a very effective system. The headphones have a reassuringly strong and solid feel about them. As to sound quality, my personal judgement is that the results are excellent. There are Bluetooth or plug in options, but sound reproduction was outstanding on both. It’s a very nice, balanced sound which was satisfactory across a wide selection of different types of music. Apparently they are technically very sophisticated but it’s beyond my expertise to understand the detail, and much less to explain the process. The main issue is that it works very well!Overall I was very impressed with the Shure SE535s and they are currently my favourite headphones. Are they worth the money? Well, if they are within your budget then I would say yes. They really are a bit special

Shure is a top of their field brand and was interested not just in the quality but also value for money. Ibreally liked the quality in fact it surprised me. At 18Hz to 19kHz 119bdSPL/mW I was half expecting great bass, great mid and okay trebble. Nope i was wrong this is exceptionally crisp across the range. We have broadcast quality audio kit at work (upto 192kHz) so i gave them a good test there too. Now i did every test identical bluetooth and wired. I really liked the bluetooth volume control pod (different oddly to the wired??? Shame in my oppinion) I also couldn't spot any difference wired to bluetooth. Awesome quality sound either connection. So so crisp. This comes with a 3.5mm to 1/4" jack whicu is gold plated and high quality. It comes with a selection of ear plugs that are silicone and a few foam. I much prefered the comfort of thr siliconr by far. As to the isolation of sound yes these achieve that but for safety you can hear if someone shouts at you (obviously propotional to volume of the music your listening to..... The bluetooth charges quickly and holds its charge well in continuous use. Now on to the tough subjective value for money. The sound quality is so good i have to say its worth the money if you have the tonal range and quality of heating that would get the subtleness and sharpness. The quality of the audio is superb no debate, so on that quality alone and how easy this is to switch between wired and bluetooth.... yes i would highly recommend these earphones. They truly are magnificent. Andrew

These 535 IEM’s are truly amazing. I’m no audiophile, I just love music and these are everything and more then I expected.I use a Fiio amp/dac to complement these with my MP3 player and apples AIFF files. You just plug and play, no need for extra gain or bass boost, just listen and the sound seem so natural.I also own the Shure 215 and the Shure 425.The 215’s are great for everyday listening great all round IEM’s for the money , if you stream music or listen to music via YouTube, these a perfect. I use mine everyday. The 425’s...... well I haven’t found the right purpose for them yet, they lack the bass I like and even when you add bass boost via fiio amp the sound falls apart. That’s why I went and bought the 535, and it’s just a joy to take a few hours out of your day to listen to your favourite cds for the first time. You can hear little things you’ve not heard before. And the bass is just perfect. As I said no need for adjustments. On a side note, if you’re looking for a budget IEM’s with good sound and everyday use, buy the Shure 215. Honestly worth every penny and sound just as good with the Bluetooth adaptation.

These are outstanding from a sound perspective. I have an older pair of Shure 425 so am used to the quality that Shure deliver but the 535 are even better than the 425's. Sound isolating works well thanks to the many earbud foam covers that are supplied. The only drawback to the 535's is getting the comfort right using bluetooth. The bluetooth receiver can be a little on the bulky side and needs clipped on which can be awkward. I generally use the cable connector so not too much of an issue but if you use bluetooth a lot be aware.
