[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the current climate where everyone in my office is working from home, it was necessary to invest in some gadgets to make life a little bit easier. I have 3 screens, a laptop, mouse mat, keyboard, mouse and two phones sitting around my desk, when I closed my laptop I was getting complaints that it was difficult to hear me speak in conference calls. I selected the Blue snowball USB microphone with crystal-clear sound in the hope that the sound complaints would go away. Lo and behold, my colleagues and peers have all commented on the vast improvement, leading me to decide to record all sessions for anyone unavailable to attend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Snowball microphone has a striking appearance - like a retro radio broadcasting microphone, on an elegant tripod base. The equipment is so easy to assemble, and is well balances on the tripod, which has rubberised feet to protect the area where they rest. The microphone can be adjusted for height and on it's axis.Setting up the microphone could not be easier - just plug the USB into the socket. There is no application, drivers et al. The system automatically sets the Snowball as the default microphone. To deactivate, just pull out the USB and the system reverts to the original microphone.The only downside is that it needs to be set at

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for recording some audio books which I am reading - this microphone is great quality, it’s really practical to have this sort of mic and it records so much better than my current microphone. I love the design, it looks really smart and feels really solid - there’s some weight to the microphone also, it comes with a handy tripod so it can stand in place.It’s easy to set up, plug and play functionality - able to use the microphone straight away, I did need to slightly adjust the microphone level however this was expected as this is a personal preference. Using this with a pop filter which works really well with the microphone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Blue Snowball microphone is great for multiple uses. We use it mainly for Zooming friends and relatives during lockdown. The omni directional setting allows both me and my husband to sit next to each other and know that the microphone will pick up our voices without having to lean in or strain towards it. Extremely easy to install - we used a Mac so we just plugged it in and selected the Snowball as input in the settings and it worked! I was surprised how easy it was to set up. The sound quality of picks up is excellent too. Much clearer and has more depth than the regular built in microphone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up, simple plug and play. first mode picks audio up very well and very clearly but there is quite a bit of background pick up. the second mode is a -10db mode which helps with the background noise and is ideal for podcasts. The third mode is an all round pick up mode but the balance could be abit more even, id personally recomend this mode as a decent rough live music recorder but the vocals would have to be facing the mic directly with the instruments behind to avoid them getting lost in the mix.The stand is very stable and the ball feet have a good amount of grip on them.Overall good for podcasts or acoustic music.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this microphone! It has been an absolute lifesaver during lockdown with all our Zoom meetings and home learning or the kids. The audio is far superior to the standard mic on my PC. It is crisp and clear on all three settings with no interference from background noise. It is simple to assemble and easy to install with no fuss or setup, it just ‘plugs and plays’ and removes just as easily with the usb connector. Another thing I like about this microphone is the design - very retro - very cool.!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks nice and stylish when getting it out of the box, was a little bulky compared to other mircrophones I have used and took up more room on the desk because of this. Would have been 5 stars had it been slightly smaller. Easy to set up, install and use and there was definitely an improvement across a range of pitches compared to the inbuilt microphone I was using previously . Those listening said they noticed a definite improvement in the quality of my voice when using this microphone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microphone is fantastic. I love the aluminium cover, the silver effect makes it look amazing and expensive. It's really sleek and is also compact too, which is perfect if you have limited space. The sound quality is great and perfect for a starter streamer with a mid range price range.Literally plug in and play and get going, which is fabulous for someone that's not technically savvy. Definitely a must for someone who zooms, vlogs and streams.

I was recommended this by a co-worker. We are working online a lot now and also we do a series of webinars and the like. I needed a better quality mic than the one in the laptop I have and wearing a headset on camera isn't ideal. This is a neat looking retro styled item and it works very well. No problems connecting it, plug and play, works right off the bat with Skype, MS Teams, WebEx, etc. Its a fair size (about the size of a cricket ball). There is no hardware mute on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this during these changing times of working at home and video calls and this has been a game changer for me. Everyone can hear me very clearly and the background muffles and noises have disappeared, I have received great feedback from colleagues and they have commented that we should all have one!Plugs in easily to my USB port and looks amazing and modern. The legs can be removed or closed for easy storage.

Only issue is using it on Windows 10. The input levels aren't high enough and I have to sit quite close. This isn't an issue with the mic. it's a known issue with Windows 10 and USB mics - google it!Tried the suggested solutions for increasing input level but none worked - thanks Microsoft. Fine on Win 7. Get around it by lowering background levels of games etc, before recording.Still not ideal and will invest in a non USB mic. at some stage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having never used a proper microphone when editing videos I was excited to give this a go! Why haven’t I tried one before. The microphone was easy to use, I wasn’t bombarded with technical jargon setting it up. Was literally set up and go! The sound quality is amazing! There is no echoing when using, does not give a white noise feedback and no ‘tinny’ sound! Would 100% recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this new redesign and change to a better USB connector has made this microphone is so much better than it used to be, the ability to change between the 3 different modes makes this microphone a fantastic mid level microphone for streamers and recorders.The reason for the 4 stars is the fact that they have not used a USB-C connector which seems so weird to me (It's a mini USB)

Brought this just for working from home video calls etc, but also for recording some gaming etx.Pros - the quality of the microphone. Whilst the most basic of the Blue range, it's still a very good microphone. Does a good job of reducing background/keyboard noise Cons - it's a little large, especially the legs which means finding space for it is a little tricky. A better stand with smaller footprint would be nice.

I really felt this was a fairly easy to use microphone which has good clarity and works with alot of different apps/software on my computer. I use this to record podcasts and sound files on my computer. Very easy to set up and the sound quality is noticeably better. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking of using it for video calls, streaming or podcasting.
