I doubtfully order this item for my focusrite scareltt solo. Because this is my first experience in recording field.i got it for Rs.5099/- . I have focusrite scarlett solo interface. After trying to find a good microphone for my podcast I finally broke down and bought this condenser microphone. Although I found out later that it probably wasn't such a great idea to get a condenser mic, it works well for me and I am satisfied. I was not satisfied, however, with the fact that this comes with absolutely no cables. Not-a-one. So, although I was excited when the microphone arrived it was merely a prop on my desk while I ordered (and waited) for XLR cables to arrive. So, there's that.I ended up getting a desktop stand for it as well and had to jerry-rig the stand to hold this mic just right, so in the end if you want a good microphone, get this one,but know that for it to work you will need a pretty decent stand, the cables (heh), and the pop filters and all that jazz. But this thing does sound pretty great overall. And for those interested my podcast is Inked, Blind & Confused.

Very nice sounding mic, especially for the price range. If you want to hear a sample recording I did on this mic, go to SoundCloud /ace-and-gary/huffnoseblues or /nojimmynocry. These are just record ings of me noodling around on guitar with the mic going straight to my Line 6 UX2 interface. Mic was about 4 inches from my amp, which is a blues jr. I also recorded acoustic and it sounds great, tho you do need to be fairly close. This mic isn't what you'd use to capture a whole room. In fact I had it pointed at my amp, worth bass amp blaring right next to it, and on the recording you can't really even hear the bass line. It cancels side noise like crazy. Haven't done much with vocals cause i can't sing. But suffice it to say, this is a solid mic and well worth the price.

When i first hold this microphone i was surprised by its weight. It was built like a solid piece of metal, built to withstand abuse. The next thing that surprised me was its response. It peeks every nuances of a performance either vocal or instruments. I also noticed that it is very silent comparing to other microphone which captures lot of unwanted noise like headphone spills, lip smacks etc. It has a flat frequency response and there's no bump in low frequency which is a common issue. The only thing i found compromising was it's lack in high end. The shimmering quality of a condenser was missing in this microphone, not to forget its price. With some minimal eq adjustments and adding a harmonic exciter, you could get a Neumann sound.

Bought this due to needing a new mic for recording voice and vocals and the reviews I had seen of it. Works great, good response but it is sensitive so you'll have to be careful what environments you intend to record in. You'll also have to be careful about how close to live walls you place the mic as you could get an unintended reverb as it picks sound up off the walls. So far, delighted, low cost is a big bonus. Great service from Amazon seller Absolute Music. One little point if you don't realize, this mic requires phantom powering. So if you are not intending to use it with a mixer which has that option, you will need to purchase an external phantom power supply. This will probably add £40 or more to the cost to get it going.

I was looking for a condensor mic with XLR connectivity to be used with my usb mixer for live online programs and recording. Most of the good quality ones where priced close to 10k or more. But I found this one for around 6k and read some good reviews. The mic came in a hard plastic case with foam inside and cut out for the mic. This is really good. The mic is of excellent build quality and feels premium and comparable to mics from Audio Technica and AKG.The mic has a cardioid polar pattern and is very sensitive in front. Gain of around 50% works well even when we are 2 feet from the mic. It seems to be having a foam filter inside but I would recommend to buy a pop filter additionally.Overallexcellent value for money.

I play tenor sax and like to record it in my back bedroom. I bought this mike on a friend's recommendation and after reading a few reviews, and am quite blown away by the quality! Placed about 5' off the ground it captures accurately the full range of the sax with excellent sound quality. My previous mike was a Shure SM58, excellent but being a dynamic mike more suited to pa.The Samson is a condenser mike and therefore you will need phantom power, unless you get the usb version. It comes with a safe and practical screw fitting for a mike stand, but this is not for quick release - you would need to sort out some sort of clip.Construction seems solid and well made and it comes in a substantial case.

The sound quality of the mic was mindblowing for the price, but I ran into one major problem. There was a very obvious, high pitched hiss in the background of my recording, which was probably caused by the huge high boost in the back of the mic. There's a software made by Samson themselves advertised with the manual that is supposed to get rid of this noise, but it costs $5.30 CAD. I couldn't believe that Samson was going to make me pay to fix inconveniences in their microphone that they undoubtedly knew were present since they advertise software to eliminate the hiss.I ended up getting a free alternative, Krisp, and now the mic works fine.

I got this mic as a present because I started a home studio. At first I was confused about phantom power and why i couldnt use it straight into a pc. but that is its only downfall. All studio condensers need phantom power from an external mixer which wasnt a problem for me as I then bought a usb- audio interface mixer. When recording the quailty is amazing for the price. Clear and steady sounds are perfect for making good songs and getting yourself on the scene. I would highly recomend this as its so good for the price. You will just need a mixer with phantom power. (can pick these up for next to nothing)

Absolutely brilliant sounding condenser mic. Definitely a bargain for the price. Samson in general make some really good mics for really cheap prices, so I would recommend them to anyone who's recording on a budget. If I had to say anything as a downside, the microphone only comes with a regular clip, so you'd need to buy a shock mount separately. Also the microphone is cardioid, so both sides are always picking up sound. Just make sure you are recording in a place that has good acoustics or a room with acoustic treatment.

I love this mic. I have other much more expensive microphones that do not deliver the quality and clarity of sound that this mic does. I find it to be very clean for voiceover work, and it rejects room noise as well as any condenser I've ever tried. It's solidly built, and seems to be very well balanced across the lows, mids, and highs, not over-emphasized in any of them. I know some TV folks in my area who swear by these for voiceover work in the studio, and they love the balance. Highly recommended for those on a budget.

Hey people!Well, I bought this microphone last week for my home studio. As I have people in to record vocals and guitar, i needed something that was cost friendly but was worth every penny. The second I plugged it in and tried it out, i knew i had got a bargain. Its really crisp and clear for vocals, and amazing for recording acoustic guitar/overhead instruments. This is a bargain. If you bought this, you will not be shopping around for another. Great for home recording musicians like myself, or official studio use.

Excellent sound that is very focused in a general direction and doesn't pick up much noise outside of that. I would recommend this to anyone new or adept in terms of microphones if you're looking for a cheap, high-quality mic this is definitely for you. It's worth noting that this mic does require a phantom power XLR connection. For me I hooked it up to my Behringer Xenyx 302 USB Mixer and played with the highs, lows and gain and found ideal settings for the most crisp audio I've been able to achieve out of any mic.

Its a great mic, good quality and great value. But I can assure you it is well worth the extra couple of pennies for the upgrade; C03 condenser. It's basically the same but with a few additions including a range of different pick-up patterns including supercardioid, omni and figure-8.This increases the amount of use you can get from your microphone as it is now multi-functional.Though as I said before, the C01 is a great professional sounding microphone at a reasonable price. Either are up to the task.

considering this item is pretty cheap compared to more high end models it still captures, for me, very loud music with very impressive qaulity. at the moment I use this as the mic for my bass drum and it gives smooth bass no thudding or distortion is ever given off. I would highly recommend this for any beginner to intermediate sound recordist. In my opinion any professional would probably be better off spending a bit more and getting a top end mic but for anyone else this is more than good enough.
