Let's start straight away by stating what these headphones clearly state in the title - they are for telephony, not for listening to music. They are thus optimised for voice, and feature just one headphone which is on the left - they cannot be swapped to the right ear due to the position of the movable microphone. They fit the head with a reasonable degree of comfort via a plastic extension that passes over the top of the head and is flexible enough to fit most noggins. It connects to a laptop or computer via 3.5mm jack plugs - one for listening and a supplementary one for speaking. This might be an issue for you if your computer has only one jack socket and you might require an adaptor, but on my computer I found even with the speaking jack only plugged in I was able to hold a conversation. There have been two main purposes to use this item - firstly to hold a conversation via Google Hangouts, which works in much the same way as Skype; and secondly to listen in and critically to ask questions for regular CPD seminars. Both these may easily take over an hour and the headphones were certainly comfortable enough to wear for that length of time. If you were wanting a pair to use in e.g. a call centre for a whole shift however they might start to irritate. Sound quality was clear throughout if a little tinny, but at this price point it was a trade off between value for money (which these certainly provide) and function. For occasional use these have proven to be reliable and fit for purpose from a trusted name in the headphone business.

This is my second time of buying this headset, though only because my original pair got snarled by the Hoover and gobbled up. Otherwise they would no doubt still be still going strong.I bought Sennheiser because you know what you are going to get, with no nasty surprises. They are sturdy and well made. Sound quality is excellent and so is the mic. I use mine for gaming and Skype with no complaints at all. The single earpiece means I can hear what's going on in-game whilst keeping one ear out for family, phones, the doorbell etc.The cable is quite long so allows a reasonable degree of movement in my chair without dragging them off of my head every two minutes. The headband is comfortable enough and because the headset is so light, no slipping around. I've worn mine for 3 or 4 hours at a stretch with no real discomfort at all. The connection is the standard, 2 plugs. One for mic, one for speaker as found on most laptops and PCs.If I had to pick on one thing, I guess the fact that they can only be worn one way. They can't be reversed to be worn on either ear. But I really don't see that as an issue so it would be major moaning to fault them for that. All in all, a great buy, and if the Hoover gobbles this set up, I would still buy another pair. Can't say fairer than that.

Once again I am very impressed with the quality Sennheiser put out. This telephony headset is inexpensive but works very well. If you use headsets at work or you use them for Skype or for gaming then I would thoroughly recommend this model. The headset is built sturdily and offers basic but well designed features. The head band is adjustable and fits very snugly over the head. The microphone adjusts up and down, as you'd expect. The side of the headset with no speaker has stiff foam padding. The speaker is fairly large for a smaller headset giving good coverage over your ear. The wire uses typical headphone plugs for microphone and speaker (no USB). The wire is also quite long. The sound (tested using Skype)is very clear and crisp and the microphone also was undistorted and sounded crystal clear. Again for the price the sound quality is very good. Some negatives are: the wire doesn't have a volume control on it. One speaker headsets can get uncomfortable to wear for very long periods (i.e. for gaming). This is because of the grip where there is no speaker can give headaches etc.Otherwise it's excellent quality for the price.

These are basic lightweight headphones for talking through your PC.They work well enough sporting just one headphone so you wont want to fuse these listening to music. However when playing games and chatting to people on them, or simply socially through things like Skype or yahoo etc these work fine. They use the two ports for mic and headphones and not the USB, so are a little old fashioned in this case and won't work if you use an Apple Mac computer.they are simple but work for what they are designed.

This light weight headset is a quality device that allows me to do long conference calls on my mobile while using Skype. I had to convert the dual connector into a single connector for my phone, but the companion Sennheiser converter cable fitted the bill. My only criticism is the band could be re-enforced with steel (like my foldable headset also from Sennheiser), but with care it should last. Recommended.

This review is abit false as i didnt even take them out of the box. However they are the specs what I asked for and they arrived within the time scale asked for. I realised that on my laptop I needed a splitter to get the whole thing off the ground, but had set the wheels in motion to send them back. So if you buy them check the connections first.

There's nothing exciting about this, you get good quality for what you pay for. It's just a headset for those who don't want to spend a lot, I only use the mic on the headset and it is much better than the in built one in my laptop so I'm not disappointed as it does what I want reasonably well :)

Nice headset for skype. Good quality but would be nice to have an additional volume control on the cable. The cable is nice and long which is a refreshing change from some of the headsets I have had in the past. For the price, this product is well worth it.Thank you

A truly excellent product at an amazing price. Great sound and mic, and a comfortable fit even for the huge head that I have! Yes, no volume control, but I just control this quickly from my volume icon on my computer. This product is simply, and just really good.

Don't think I can make this product sound interesting so I'll get straight to the point. Good brand (sennheiser), comfortable to wear whilst doing a very dull long link to a university in Staffordshire, very good sound quality. Worth buying for your home office.

Bought as one I took from work when we went to work from home March 2020 snapped wires and knew a replacement from work would be one of those found on someone's desk and not a new set. Sound quality is so much better than my old 2 ear one.

It was not clear that you need a separate splitter cable. This headset as it is sold is for a desktop PC. It needs a splitter cable to use it with a phone or laptop. Other than that, its great.

These are great - do not use them constantly - but the sound is good and they fit well, not too tight or loose - guess though that depends on the size of the head they sit on...lol

Owned for since 27 Aug 2015. Good sound & mic quality. Has taken many hits, falls and tugs at the aux leads and still going very strong. Recommend! A++.
