I didn't buy this card on Amazon, but figured I'd give my review here since there's just 1 other. It's an excellent card, the highest quality 5700XT you can get for the money. The PowerColour Red Devil is the only other card I considered. I have a 600W PSU and for whatever reason, Sapphire say 600W is the minimum, while Powercolour say 700W is the minium for theirs. Either way, my fully loaded PC (CPU isn't OCed) only pulls ~320W at max load so you'll be safe with a high-end 500W PSU (wouldn't recommend anything below 550W though). If you are buying from Amazon and want to claim on warranty within 3 years if the card develops a fault, THEN DON'T BUY THIS CARD. Sapphire directs all claims to the reseller (Amazon)for them to take care of, but Amazon only has a 30 day return policy; so you will have NO WARRANTY CLAIM VIA AMAZON. As for Powercolour, the RD has a 2 year warranty but they take it back to base so you can safely buy that here.In the end, I went with Sapphire's Nitro+ just for the minature increased performance and design looks (RGBs). If you are worried about the noise, both the Nitro+ and RD have a 0 RPM mode till the temps hit 60C so unless you do GPU intensive work, just forget about noise levels; they both run silent (mine idles at 55C which is fairly high). I've played games at maxed settings at 1440p and the fans still don't spin up. It can be loud when they do spin up. As for performance... The lowest fps I've had so far was ~100fps playing Gears of War 4 but it's a very demanding game. Usually my fps counter is stuck at 144. As far as I know, the Nitro+ card is on par with the 2070 Super in some games, better at some, but slightly worse at most and the Nitro+ costs less. If a (decent) 2070S costed ~£440, then I'd go for the Super. Just don't go for the lower quality ones, they'll be inferior to the Nitro+ in more games and they'll have a shorter lifespan for sure.As for the BIOS switches, there were no instructions on which do what. So here (in a normal case):- Right - Performance mode (PRIMARY/default)- Middle - Silent mode (SECONDARY)- Left - Allows you to change modes via Sapphire TRIXX software (still need to restart).Whichever card you buy, make sure you use DDU software to remove all traces of any previous driver. If you don't, you'll almost definitely have stutters, black screens, crashes, etc, especially if you're moving to AMD from Nvidia. I upgraded from a GTX 970. I had some stutters in the first game I played, but they stopped after 1 minte (using recommended AMD drivers from September; optional drivers seem to come out every month but they aren't stable); maybe it needs a small break-in period... Anyway, it gets me the highest gaming performance on a 1440p 144Hz 32" monitor. What more could you want? Now I need to upgrade the rest of my system...

Update, I have been running the card now for 3 days solid and I have yet to see a glitch with the card. Looks like the new drivers are doing there job. Also I found the Sapphire Trixx Software very useful indeed as Im running a 3440 x 1440 monitor and It allows me to get that extra 10fps by slightly alterating the resolution with no difference in visuals.First off I was using the Vega Strix 64 and I wasn’t a happy chap, the card was so loud and hot and yes it does heat the room. So I wanted to get rid of it sooner rather than later but I was being held back for 2 reasons, The first I had £400 of a budget and I was looking at the 2070s and for a decent one that was £500 to be fair,So that left me with the AMD 5700XT which at time of writing “07/03/20” was £400 but I read that Amd were having driver problems so I had to wait.Low and behold Amd released DRIVER VERSION 20.2.2 and I read the reviews and it looked real good, most of the glitches people were reporting seem to be sorted. So I took the bull by the horns and went for the Sapphire 5700XT over the Red Devil just because it has slightly better Vram temps but you can’t really go wrong with either. Now to compare the Vega 64 with 5700XT just with Red Dead 2 alone. This game is undoubtedly one of the hardest games for any GPU and to cut a long story short. The 5700XT runs the game at a higher graphic display at a lower wattage where as the Vega 64 was struggling at medium settings at near 300 watts. Please forgive me I am just cutting a long story short based on my recent experience. Now the noise levels, The Vega 64 was loud say 7/10, Now the 5700XT running RD2 as well would be a 5 or 6 out of 10. There’s just something about this game that really pushes any graphic card. It really depends also on the game you are playing to be fair. I mean you can hardly hear it on the normal bench mark tests like Heaven Unigine. Now you can look online and get better comparisons.Would I rather I have bought the 2070s, well I will never know as I just couldn’t afford that.Am I happy with the 5700XT now the drivers are on the right path and the cost of this card, Yes and I am being in no way a shill for Amd, it’s just what you can afford.I will of course keep this post updated if there is anything that goes wrong with the card or the drivers.

If your considering buying a 5700 XT don’t buy a reference card i.e. one that uses a blower cooling solution, the Sapphire Pulse design is much better with improved thermals & cooling solution that can keep the card to 37-43dba whilst the memory & GPU temperatures are reduced by 20 degrees or so. The card was placed in a new 3600x system using a the wraith stock cooler & Nzxt 500 case at idle & underload I couldn’t hear the card over the CPU cooler & when I set the Wraith to 800 rpm to control the noise it beat the XFX Thicc & Gigabyte Gaming which is down to the cards thermal solution (it disperses heat quicker & doesn’t need to have the fans running at a high RPM than is necessary).Withoutgoing into all of the details this is great card for 1080 & 1440p gaming surpassing 60fps in graphically intensive titles such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider whilst Fortnight, civilisation 6 at either resolution will surpass over 100 FPS, this is a mid-high level GPU & the biggest issue with the card is AMD optimising the drivers to work with your game of choice. The card has issues & it’s restricted to the drivers:Randomly the card may display a green screen which can only be resolved by restarting the PC.Overclocking is limited to 1-3% gains which isn’t worth increasing the power for marginal gains compared to the RTX cards.Running Afterburner with a manually created fan curve can cause random screen flickering, close Afterburner & it will stop immediately.I purchased this card for £410 so my opinion is based on that price which was £79 cheaper than Nvidia’s RTX 2070 Super. If the price is closer to 2070 Super I believe your better of getting the RTX card when you factor in overclocking it gets you similar performance to the stock RTX 2080 with the added benefit of playable RTX on 1080 & 1440p games.

Ordered as replacement for my old MSI 970. Was looking at 2070 Super, but got this - mainly because I've got a Freesync monitor. Seems to be well built, quite long 30,6 cm so keep in mind it won't fit shorter cases. I play on 1080p monitor, with 144Hz refresh rate. Can't fault this card performance wise, usually get 100+ fps with ultra settings in every game I play. Them Radeon 5700's cards tend to get really hot (some people report temps in excess of 100 degrees), but that was never a problem with my Sapphire - it stays around 75-80 degrees during heavy gaming sessions. I also find it rather quiet and with headphones I don't notice any noise whatsoever. My only gripe is with this card behaviour while the system is idle. You see because my monitor refresh rate is set to 144Hz (native), VRAM frequency stays at 1750MHz no matter what. That causes card temp to stick aroud 55-60 degrees with 30W power consumption, which is high for computer doing nothing. Read about it quite a bit and found that lots of cards (nVidias too) have similar problem, high refresh rate monitors or dual monitor set up with one display being high refresh causes memory to get stuck. Please note that lowering refresh rate fixs the issue, so far tried 59, 60, 100, 120Hz rates - at all of them card performs as expected (idle temps 38-40 degrees and around 15W power draw). That's why I knocked off just one star. I try to stay up to date with new drivers and if in the future that issue get fixed I'll update my review.

I have had a couple Sapphire cards before and been more than happy with them so when this one came out I saw the good press reviews and thought I'd give it a punt.To say that I'm impressed is rather an understatement. My last card was a Vega 64 liquid cooled and that was pretty good, but this one runs rings around it.Promoted as a 1440p card, it handles easily outputting to my 3440x1440 QHDUW Acer Raptor monitor, and runs games such as Youngblood and Metro Exodus with all the settings set to maximum with silky smoothness and amazing clarity.Temps have been good, it runs at around 60c GPU and 75 junction while playing the above games and the most I've yet seen was a spike of 75 GPU and 92 junction, whilst running Call of Duty WWll. Even that was well within spec, AMD give an upper limit of 110c junction.Noise also is good and I have to run the fan test if I want to hear the fans.I haven't yet played with the Trixx boost or any overclocks yet, but tbh I don't see the need. I'll cross that bridge when it comes- this Nitro+ more than exceeds my needs or expectations and I don't see that changing anytime soon.11/10 big grin!(Edit: 3DMark Firestorm 23 290 97%+)(Another edit: put this card through a 5120*1440 Samsung CRG9 and it pushes things like Far Cry 5/New Dawn at a pretty playable average of 56fps- maxed out- I was astounded. And this was with an old FX9590 driving things. Am going to bung it in my Ryzen 9 3900X rig an see what it's like ?)

This card is great at what it's supposed to do. It can run plenty of triple A titles on ultra at 1440p at minimum 60fps in most new games, but the drivers for this card have limited and handicapped it to a certain extent. For instance I've been using the 2019 drivers(19.12.1) for the last several months as they're the most stable for me. Of course even then there not perfect, the .On that note I've had to replace this card already due to it just dying. I'm not sure if it was the hardware itself or the drivers not properly reacting to the heat being produced to turn on the fans and to try to keep it cool as the amd wattman isn't that reliable with a fan curve. This card runs quite hot when gaming 70-85°C on average at fan speeds at 75%,when just browsing or watching YouTube its usually 40-50°C at 25%. This could be due to my case and the room it's in so it could be better in different settings.I was quite content with the card when I got it to work properly but the constant problemsaren't worth it at the price you're paying.I would recommend it if it had stable drivers but at the moment I would wait till they fix that problem.

Prior to this I had a XFX Thicc III Ultra for which I paid £383. That card was technically a little faster and did maintain clock speeds in excess of 2k regularly. However, the cooling was not sufficiently effective, I believe due to the weight of the card and having only a plastic backplate, the sag was causing separation from the cooler. Junction temps would hit 113c and of course that meant throttling. This card in comparison, has a metal backplate, and also rgb so it looks nice. It also has a great little Sapphire app which gives you bios selection, metrics, and allows you to use resultion scaling which works well with AMD's sharpening. I run a 21:9 at 1440p (so 3440 x 1440p resolution.)I'm currently running the 20.1.3 drivers without issue. Game results all with Ultra settings. Control DX12 99.7 fps average. Witcher 3 93 fps. Apex legends 97fps. MW 92fps. My monitor caps are 120hz so I'm happy at these ranges bearing in mind they are on Ultra settings and its 3440 resolution. I paid £400 so a premium price but effectively 2070 Super specs.

This really is a fantastic quality GPU which runs silent. I upgraded from Nvidia 1060 6GB due to struggling with animation projects which on rendering took too long for my liking. I contemplated the 2070, but decided the negligible performance difference wasn’t worth the extra 30% price difference. Since upgrading I have notible gains on FPS with FPS more stable on games plus more stable and faster rendering/performance on animation projects. One highly recommended action before installing the GPU (if replacing from NVidia) is to DDU the old driver. I strongly advice carrying out this step. YouTube has great tutorials on this and is literally a 5 minute job! I have not had any black/blue screens, not windows freezing etc.Temp averages around 50c on my pc when gaming and the drivers are all stable. If anything changes in due course I will of course update my review, but for now it’s a 5 star from me.

Pros: It is one of the best on the market. It’s quiet, as the fans are set to have a max speed of 50%. It can OC to 2100mhz quite easily while keeping its temperature low. Handle pretty much all the games on the market. Plus it’s 25%cheaper than 2070s, with only 6% lower performance.Material used for this card is sturdy and high quality. After disassembling the card, I found that all the heat sink and vrm cooling solutions are very made. Argb definitely looks awesome and it can match with your case of other Rgb colors.Cons: Actually this is not relèvent to this particular card. It’s about Amd driver. Driver might cause blue screen or screen shattering. I am sure I am not the only one having this issue.Adrenaline 2020 driver doesn’t fix it. Hope amd can come up with some solutions.Tips: some iatx motherboards might not fix this chunky card.

Amazon delivery man put this where I put my rubbish and I noticed this 2 days later ,when I contacted amazon they had insisted it was delivered and handed to me , anyway about the actual product, it does not have customisable rgb incase anyone thinks it does, drivers are generally stable now, overall satisfying card tweaked my fan curve so temps rarely pass 62 celsius and when they do they get back down quick, make sure you adjust the fan curve when you receive the card as the stock configuration is horrible (fans run at 0rpm until gpu hits 60°c ) the Gigabyte oc model is cheaper and apparently has considerably better vrms but nonetheless this card holds its own for sure

This card only makes sense if bought under £409, if you get to find it at this price then it is great, memory overclocks to the maximum (950mhz), and 2120mhz for the core, temperature is never a problem, very quiet during gaming but AMD is holding it back with unstable drivers due to it being a fairly new architecture, once the drivers mature these cards should easily keep their overclock stable instead of resetting Wattman after each restart like they are doing at the moment.Ignore any sellers that are selling it over £409, they are abusing shortages and prices will not go lower if people won't stop feeding the trolls.

I had all the black screen problems that plagued this card on release and was considering returning it just because I didn’t know how to fix it at the time, how ever I persevered with it and after downloading and installing my motherboard chipset drivers from the amd website (separate from the Adrenalin software) which I thought I had done, and combining that with the clean instal of the adrenaline 20.1.01 drivers for this card and I haven’t had a single problem since. Really quiet card, excellent performance, you can change the light colours with sapphire’s triXX soft ware to suit any build colour theme.

Bought this for my Arch Linux build. Worked out of the box with Kernel 5.4 + Mess 19.3.1. I'm getting flawless performance and cool temperatures. I upgraded from an RX480 and the difference was astounding. Some reviews mentioned 1440p gaming; I don't go above 1080p or play above 60fps, and I lock games to 60fps where possible. For the gaming I do, this card works flawlessly. I have yet to dip below 60fps. When unlocked, most games I play are at least 160fps; DOOM 2016, Code Vein, Halo, Minecraft, just to name a few.Overall, fantastic card. Especially if you play on Linux!

Has been running games great, worth the price and I love the look of the card itself in my pc. Common complaints are the noise however I expected a little bit of fan noise considering I already have about 7 fans in the case itself, and even then the noise isn't crazy. It does get a little warm but not dangerously so, maybe this is because of the fans I have but this is something to look out for if you have a more cramped or budget build as it really does heat up.Overall great performance but I would also spend extra on cooling if you're getting this card.

This is currently the best RX 5700XT available for the money.Runs all recent games in 2K Ultra settings @60+ FPS (with R5 3600 & 16GB RAM @3200)RDR2 in 2K and high settings 55FPS avg.Witcher 3, all on Ultra in 4K 60FPS. WOT in 4K Ultra well over 60FPS etc.Max temperature in fan cooled chassis (3x120cm 2000RPM max) 77 degrees. When the GPU fans are at max RPM the noise is still much below average level for 5700XT (not loud at all to my ears).Very stable, no crashes, artefacts, flickering.Moved from GTX 980ti and I'm very pleased with this card.
