RF4 is one of my favourite ever games. With the rerelease on Switch I'm so happy to see the series being revived again. If you're a fan of Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon you will love this game. It's very very similar to Stardew Valley with a lot of the core mechanics, but it has a lot more depth with the combat mechanics and dungeons, and slightly less of an emphasis on farming (though you can fully throw yourself into farming if you wish!).The port to Switch could have been done a bit better. While it runs very smoothly and seems very gentle on the Switch's battery, some of the graphics could have used touching up as there are a couple of jagged edges in the backgrounds of environments in

This is my first time stepping into the Rune Factory series, this is a purchase i made completely blind, i only knew a few things about it, like that it's a spin-off from the Harvest Moon series, and that it could be described as "Harvest Moon with weapons", and i think at the core, that is pretty much spot on, but this is so much more at the same time, i can't really describe it, all i know is that i love this game now and i want the rest of the series to be remastered as well.If you, like me is intrigued by this game then let me give you a bit of a warning, the tutorial is LONG, this is not a game for people without patience,

I poured 150h into this game in record time. The character are well written, the gameplay is great for anyone who enjoyed Stardew Valley. The battle system more advanced but very jRPG oriented, so it won't be to everyone's taste.The end game content requires a lot of grinding and as long as you don't get some better gear, you will hit a brick wall several times in the game.Apart from that, every single character is a delight and got me way more invested than I expected. I left the game mostly completed with a heavy heart since I didn't want to leave the characters in the village, but the journey was really enjoyable. I just don't like when something this good ends

Having had the 3SS version, once I found out it was coming to the Switch I couldn’t wait to purchase it.I wouldn’t compare this to Stardew Valley, as though farming is an option to do in this game. It isn’t necessary and each games have their own merits.The only downside to the game is that the characters graphics still look like they’ve been just randomly placed in and don’t merge with the background.Great game however, and once you get the hang of the crafting you’ll be playing for hours!I look forward to Rune Factory 5!

By far the best installment yet. There is so much story to this game and layers of play and mechanics hidden within.I love the random town events which make you feel like your living in part of an actual town.The cast of characters is great, the town management system inspired and the thought that's gone into the forging system, weapons and magic is just crazy.Amazing game. I'm looking forward to rf5!

Great game! The story line(s!) are interesting and engaging, and the NPC scripts are unique! A lot of RPG games have very repetitive scripts for their NPCs, but Rune Factory 4 seems to tackle this problem, which makes the game even more immersive! Strongly recommend this game, and I’m excited for the sequel coming out later this year

So glad this game escaped the 3DS. Kinda weird that the physical version is cheaper than the digital version on the eShop but whatever. Wish there was an option to make the voices louder but oh well. Buy this is you like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley

I LOVE this game, had it for the DS back on 2012, also this one arrived a day early.Its like Harvest moon but with a hint of an RPG the animal's e.g sheep are monsters that you charm and they come to live with you, its a cute fun game

Despite being a port of a 3DS game, it is still one of the best games you can play on a switch.A great mix of farming and exploration with combat.
