Now that the pup has grown a bit bigger we have bought him a Ruffwear to match his sister's. She has a red one and he has a blue one. She has been wearing hers constantly for 9 months and lives a very ruff life, always tumbling and running through bush, yet after all that time it has held up supurbly, bar a couple of scrapes is in great condition. It was a no brainier buying the pup one too. Expensive yes, but these collars are tough and chunky, they have massive expansion in them so will last as your dog grows. Worth every penny. Should last a few years I reckon based on hers. You won't regret it if you have an outdoor / working dog. Probably a bit overkill if your dog spends most of it's life curled up on the sofa though.The red is nice,

I have two of these collars -- one for each of my two husky/golden retriever mixes (55 lb. and 70 lb). These collars are durable. Huskies like to rough play and grab and tug each others collars. Ours also pull a lot on the leash during walks -- trying to chase after squirrels, etc. These collars have held up to all of this very well. I also really like the dog tag ring. I attach their name tag and license tag and it really is silent -- no jingle. We broke a tag ring through our own fault. We contacted customer service, and they were excellent and went above and beyond. We also have two of the Ruffwear harnesses for our dogs. We are also very happy with those.

I couldn’t resist the brook trout pattern on this collar, but it also had the key element I was looking for...separate rings for tags and attaching the leash. We lost all of our dogs tags when my son accidentally attached the leash to the tags instead of directly to the collar. Now that they are on separate rings. That shouldn’t happen again. Collar is solidly stitched, the buckle is solid and works great for quick on and off. The pattern is awesome, and they have a wide variety of other patterns. Price is a little higher than other collars out there, but you get more for that in workmanship and design. Definitely recommend this one

I unfortunately returned this collar because it was too wide for my "M" sized pup and bought a different collar that was 3/4" Wide. Otherwise, the collar was very high quality and super cute! I like the tag bumper and the separate hooks for the leash / tags. I found the leash hook to be a bit difficult to hook in, but I'm sure once you get the hang of it, it wouldn't be a problem. I would recommend it to anyone with a less petite medium sized dog, or a larger dog. I think the Size Small comes in a narrower width as well.

I love the look of this collar. It is very vibrant and looks great on my black lab. The material is durable, even with two dogs playing and tugging at each other's collars. The loop to attach leashes is very sturdy and the buckle is secure. I never worry that my dog is going to break out of this collar and run loose. The tag silencer is a nice bonus. I don't attach his tags to his collar at home, so it doesn't apply to me, but it would be ideal for someone whose dog has very noisy tags.

I got this collar for my Parson Russell Terrier who is on the tall side for the breed, and it fits him nicely. It is relatively wide which makes it comfy to wear for the dog, and very easy to put on. Can take it off with one hand just as easily which I like as I tend to only put it on for walks. It is also made from reasonably sturdy material, as my dog insisted on using it as tug toy first thing when it arrived. Very happy with it, would buy again.

Great durable collar. No problems after months of use on a dog that likes to roll around. No loosening problems with the buckle, very durable over all. The one weakness is the tag holder. The keychain ring like holder got bent off somehow. Never seen it happen to key rings, so I think it was a mix of the metal it was made of (weak) and its design that let it catch something and the dog pulled off, causing it to bend and break off.

Excellent collar. I purchased this as a replacement collar, the first one lasted over 4 years and was still functional and in tact but was my dog being a beagle put it through the ringer and it didn't look clean any longer. I purchased another for my younger dog and that one is holding up great as well. I occasionally wash them with warm soapy water and let air dry. I like that it is light weight and yet sturdy. Highly recommend.

Both of my dogs have this collar. One in the blue mountains design and the other is the black and grey one. They are so cute and I love the easy buckle. The tag silencer is nice to reduce jangling noise.When they get stinky, I just take their tags off and throw them in the wash and they look and smell brand new.Sizing: I have two goldens (75 lbs and 85 lbs) and they both wear a size large.Recommend!

Excellent quality. Feels extremely durable and well made. Certainly sturdy enough to keep hold on my 100lb german sheppherd. I love the separate tag and leash attachment points. The tag noise dampener thing actually works really well too. Best of all, my dog loves it and it looks super cool too. It doesn’t have that cheap sort of fabric look that a collar from a big box store would have. I dig it.

My 11 week old sprocker spaniel looks so smart in her new collar [small size, she is 10inch neck so has room to grow]. We love it. The snap fastening makes it easy to get on as she gets used to wearing a collar, the colours are great, finish is great quality, the little tag silencer is also a win because the noise troubles her. Very pleased, would definitely recommend. Thank you x

This collar is the best. I've had one of these for my (very active) 10 year old dog since she was 4 years old, and it still looks great. It's been with her camping, hiking, backpacking, swimming, etc and has held up nicely. I just hand wash it when I bathe her, hang it to dry, and it looks almost new.I just bought one for my other dog and anticipate it lasting just as long.

Bought the first Ruffwear collar in February 2011 when my dog was a puppy. Decided to replace it not that I needed to replace it as it's still in perfect condition. My dog can be strong on the lead at times and this collar is still perfect. Top quality product. I have a ruffwear lead that I also bought in 2011 and it's still in daily use and in perfect condition too.

This collar is super lightweight and seems too thin, but don't let it fool you...it is super durable! From the webbing to the leash ring, this collar will last a long time. I love that the leash ring and ID tag clip are separate. It makes attaching and detaching a leash much easier with the tags out of the way. Plus, the colors and pattern designs are great!

This is a nice collar and I really like it but I’m concerned about the strength of the thin fabric used to attach the tag to the collar. I’ve seen in other reviews it tears off and I’m not shocked after looking at it. Considering the fact that I use a harness to walk my dog and the sole purpose of this collar is to identify my dog this is a major concern.
