Didn’t really know what to expect from this, it had mostly good reviews so decided to give it a go.Had it a couple of weeks now, needed to see how I got in with it before reviewing.Once you get the hang of what works for you it’s just getting the spinning going, and keeping it going! I worked from the printed programme to start with which was okay but you are far better working along with the DVD, I found it so much easier to do following a class, it also showed different movements with it which I hadn’t done.I have to say I am starting to feel the difference overall, it certainly gets your heart rate up and blood pumping which I wouldn’t have thought possible,if I stick with it I think the results will come. The ball does stop sometimes but I just restart, as the intro says you can open it up, dust inside, give ball a wipe and reassemble, this I didn’t think I would have to do too soon, however, my son who I thought wouldn’t be convinced it would work has been using it as well as me - he is really surprised how good this little Power Spinner is!To this end he has purchased the PowerBall which I have to say, again once you get the hang of it is really good, amazing workout of the hands/wrist, arms and much more although I have only done the basics on it so far.So I am now using both on a daily basis as is he.All I can say if you have it and can’t get it going, persevere, it’s worth it!I would say it is one of my better buys and I was sceptical, it’s early days yet but I have high hopes in the long term. The fact that my son is using it speaks volumes!

This seemed like a bit of a gimmick, which may or may not work, but I really like it. A great way to easily get a bit of exercise from home. You can make it is as difficult for yourself as you can manage or take it easy if you're having a lazy day, but I soon find myself putting in a bit of extra effort once I get going. I don't think anyone is going to get super-ripped from this but it does seem to engage a lot of muscles at once and I can feel my body has done some work afterwards. It's not bad quality but I would have made it £10 more expensive and made it more sturdy, although it doesn't seem like it's going to break anytime soon. Two month update: By halving my sugar intake and using the Powerspin plus some moderate cycling,my weight is reducing (74kg to 72kg in 2 months) and my body is noticeably more toned. I cleaned the inside today as rubber dust from the ball starts to build up (I guess it's not going to last forever). Having done so, the Powerspin runs more smoothly and a little bit quieter(!). Seperating the two halves of the body is not that easy and leaves marks around the rim so I'm not going to be able to do this too often before it looks a mess / breaks. But I would buy a new one in a heartbeat.Overall a great piece of kit.

This really works - not just as a workout for the arms, but it gets your heart rate going, so good cardio as well. Also, because it is not heavy (it works with isometric force) it is gentle with a tendon problem in my right arm. (A bariatric patient took a nosedive on me and I tried to catch her.) This allows me to get the strength back without aggravating my elbow (almost all the way back to normal, fortunately.) And from the first time I used it I could tell it was working. I already have strong arms, but fairly long slim muscles. These pump them up, and I must admit vanity has come into play.Don't get me wrong, I haven't turned into a female Arnie overnight, but my arms now have a better shape and cut in them and I am stronger.Basically, this wheel is my favourite upper body workout tool. I can feel (and see) it in my shoulders, triceps and biceps. Less noticeable in my chest, though my (ahem) breasts seem less like spaniel's ears (hey, I am pushing fifty, that's normal!) They are better supported. Doesn't seem to do anything for my abs, but I wasn't expecting it to.I know they suggest three times a week, six to nine minutes at a time, but I am doing it every day right now. Definitely wakes me up, and weirdly compulsive

... but it is certainly a lot more fun than lifting dumbbells!I admit that I first saw the Powerspin advertised in an airline magazine and clearly the ad worked because I looked it up once I landed. I decided to give it a go because my previous exercise regime of just lifting dumbbells was feeling rather stale and I liked the idea of having a toning tool that would easily travel with me. I have been using it for a few months and there is definitely some definition in my arms, so at the very least I haven't lost what muscles I had previously developed. The Powerspin comes with a multi-language DVD that shows a 6-minute workout you can do; I would have preferred a leaflet, but this does the job of showing the different exercises you can do with it and the muscle groups that it works.Like other reviewers have said, it does take a little bit of practice to get it going properly, but once you do, it's very easy to work into your daily routine. What has worked for me is stashing the Powerspin in the kitchen so I can use it while waiting for the kettle to boil, tea to brew, or the microwave to heat things up as a few minutes here and there really do seem to add up to a solid Powerspin workout.

Doesnt take too long to get comfortable with it and you really do feel it working the arms and abs,My exercise routine for arms and shoulders is using dumbbells (only 5 kg) 25 reps on each arm, then using the powerspin for a good ten minutes on each arm until muscle failure, for abs i do the boat pose exercise sit on the floor with bent knees. Lean back slightly and then bring your legs up and straighten them until your body forms a V shape. Your arms should be stretched out and parallel to one another, once done with that i move onto the power spin, i hold the power spin out straight in front of me bend my knees (only a little bit)start the rotation and lift the power spin a little higher until i feel the burn in my absHope that helps someone looking for a good quick daily workoutMy recommendation would be to put an electric motor inside the power spin with a button like mechanism you can hold down to make it spin automatically (maybe add a variable speed option for beginners and pros if you do choose this idea)Overall id recommend it for beginners and for pros to add to there workout sessions as its fun and challenging

I have noticed my torso looking more muscular in a fairly short time of about 5 weeks (and I'm a lanky hard gainer). I have been using it most days, doing about 14 exercises for a period of one minute (said to be the minimum time). I believe the main advantage is that the device applies resistance evenly throughout the exercise. Unlike a dumbbell lift where the resistance varies due to a dead start, momentum, locking out, gravity when descending etc. So this piece of kit is more like doing isometric exercise but unlike that technique, you are having to move spin the ball thus creating more blood flow. As a middle aged male with many old injuries, I can get injured very easily. Therefore this piece of equipment is ideal in that injuries are much less likely. For the price its got to be worth trying out. I think my Powerspin will not be relegated to the toy cupboard any time soon unlike many other fitness items of equipment I have purchased over the years. It also quite enjoyable to use.

I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about this product at first, how does a ball rolling round some spherical tubing work out arms, triceps, shoulders and help with your core and eradicate "bingo wings"? The best way I can describe it is...if you have ever opened up one of the old style roller ball computer mice....the ball is similar to that...but much more weighty...you get the ball rolling around the tube using centrifugal force....it creates a resistance...you control this resistance by deciding how fast it goes and fighting back against the resistance...this is turn works out all the aforementioned muscles. It comes with a workout DVD led by the very attractive Jo Gathercole, who goes through some exercises with you but more can be found online on the Powerspin website and also YouTube. It works wonders, I have been using it every day for a couple of weeks now and I can already feel I am in much better shape than when I started. I love it!

Intrigued by the headline? Well what you need when using the POWERSPIN is co-ordination. Using it with my right arm I really don't have a problem. Using it with my left arm - well the ball bangs about inside the casing, sometimes it goes round to the left then to the right, then stops then starts or up and down. It's so annoying. Have used the POWERSPIN three time so far so it's early days. Will have to work on the left arm but I reckon by the end of the week I'll have cracked it. It's the old adage " practise makes perfect " There is a video on You Tube showing a 9 minute session. It is intense. Each exercise lasts a minute. However, I did each exercise for about 20 seconds each as I'm not used to the POWERSPIN.The left arm was absolutely hilarious but also annoying hence the robust language. I'll increase each time until I can do the whole 9 minute session. All in all, for me, this is money well spent.

I bought the Powerball Powerspin out of sheer desperation with the attitude that because I bought it off Amazon I could send it back.Well folks, getting the ball rolling needs some practice but it’s not that difficult you can get the ball rolling after a few tries.I have completed YouTube workouts for the Powerball Powerspin 3 times now, and I can definitely see a difference in my upper and lower arms. My lower arms look slimmer and my upper arms look slimmer and less blobby, they are improving even after this short time!I fully expected the Powerspin not to work lolI am going to try doing the Powerspin workout twice a day.I have tried dumbbell workouts, tricep press ups you name it, I have tried it.The Powerball is more effective, your arms and shoulders feel like they have had a workout.I don’t work for Powerball Powerspin by the way.I can’t wait to wear sleeveless tops!

Some people have remarked that it doesn't seem robust, but I've been using it awhile now, and also some people have been using one in a gym I go to, and it seems fine in use. I've even dropped it, and it's still fine.I have some coordination problems and also some of my muscles have a tendency to suddenly tighten/cramp/spasm (I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome), so it's a challenge for me to use; but when you've managed to get it going at all, no matter how you're holding it, go with that. Even if you're not able to use it two days in a row, still keep going with it, trying it out in different ways. When I've got up to being able to use it a few minutes continuously, then I'll try the videos again.Up until now they've been too difficult for me, but I don't give up. I'm definitely improving.I highly recommend the Powerspin, and it definitely gives me a workout!

I’ve had this only for a few days and so far, I don’t have hugely negative to say. So ok, it does take some practice to get the ball rolling (so to speak) but for ~£20 and a workout that is 6 to 9 minutes, it’s not a huge investment of money or time and I’m more likely to stick with it. My arms do burn during these workouts so I would think it is doing something to my muscles (same burn when I do reps with weights) but this has the added bonus that you can take it away with you on trips without it being inconvenient (fits in small suitcase) and doesn’t weigh a ton. In terms of build, the tube looks like it could fall apart when the ball is rolling but on closer inspection,it’s partly due to the way it’s constructed (2 half tubes clipped together). I haven t watched the dvd but went straight to some YouTube workouts and for now, these work fine for me.

Having been off exercise for some years, I was looking for a gentle, effective and efficient way to ease myself back into cardio and strength training. The Powerspin offers all these attributes, and so much more: The fact that one needs to start off slowly to master the technique is perfect for the recovering or untrained. The fact that one needs to concentrate to keep the form whilst using the tool keeps the mind engaged and sees coordination skills improve. The fact that the tool is light and fairly small ensures that I take it with me and use it wherever I go, whether it’s whilst travelling or just in front of the kettle waiting for the water to boil. All in all, the Powerspin exceeds my expectations.I can feel it working, cardio and strength wise, and above all, its fun and challenging nature will keep me interested for quite some time.

It works as an exercising device where you can easily forget about the earnestness of the purpose and use it as a challenging toy instead. I like it and it benefits you a lot like those long, thin, carbon rod thingies do ( the ones that you hold at arms length and try to oscillate fast ) only this device takes up much less space to operate in and is a great deal safer to use. I must admit that I am more adept at spinning the internal ball with my right hand than my left but there is no doubt about it that everything from the hand to stomach muscles can end up being put to use during the exercises, depending on how far arms are extended, how fast the spin is and for how long you wish to continue for.I shan't be getting another one yet but I keep thinking about what it would be like to have two of these going at the same time.Eamonn

I gave the title ‘surprisingly good’ because it is. It doesn’t look like it can achieve as much as it does, for me.There are a few “inertial “ exerciser devices, some from this company. They work by giving a resistance to movement induced by the user and the more vigorous the movement the higher the resistance so the effect is progressive. It’s easy to think, at first, the device isn’t doing much but I felt the effects of a good workout of the muscles after a session. The range of exercises on the leaflet enclosed are good to get going, there are more on the Powerball website and one can make others up. Another bonus is that there is,it must be said a bit of patience and practice coordinating the ‘knack’ needed to “get it going” and develop the movement, the smoother the better, as Obi 1 would say “feel the Force.”

After the success of Powerball it follows that the manufacturer would diversify with other products and this is what they’ve come up with. The product is pretty intuitive to use, probably more so than the draw string Powerball products, but it does rattle slightly and doesn’t have the premium feel of the Powerball. When you workout with this the muscle burn also doesn’t feel as intense...you definitely get some benefit but perhaps the best word to describe it would be ‘imbalanced’.Nevertheless, and this is the most important bit, I bought 2 of these for my wife and daughter who don’t seriously exercise but wanted a few fun things to help them workout...this is unique and good fun to use so it fits the bill and is easy to store away.Overall,a successful buy.
