I got this for my one year daughter for Xmas but its my three year who loves it. It has been used as a helmet, a tummy cover, a turtles shell, a seat, a step stool (please be careful and make sure its not on a slippy surface or your child will facegrind) but best of all they love to be spinned in it. We have a hardwood polished floor and it is slippy for the round plastic bottom, my three year old has sat in it and tipped backwards and we have had bumped heads as she has fallen backwards but if you are there and you are in control you can spin them well but always be there to catch it when it slows down as there is no control for the child. We have also spun balls in it and turned it over andput three balls underneath of varying colour and said first one to grab the red ball or whatever this product has endless imagination fun.

Is it a snail, is it a hat, is it a reading chair, a seesaw, a spinning top, a personal roundabout? All these things and more - just good fun. No batteries too! The only reason there's a low mark for durability is we've only had it since Christmas, so too early to tell really (although it seems pretty tough).April 2012 - Just adding a bit on durability - over 2 years later and still going strong. It's been used for all sorts of activities that the manufacturers don't necessarily recommend (including snow transport) and holding up well - a bit scuffed, but still a great imaginative toy.

Ok £25 for a big plastic bowl seemed extravagant but I hoped to be very impressed. I can see why its an award winner, dd cant balance and spin herself at 8 month but after watching me do it she let me put her in and gently-ish turn her. She uses it as a drum. I use it to slide her between rooms. We hide /find things. She like to stroke ot and scratch the logo on the cup. I use it to gather toys and boot them onto the corner. I will occasionally have a spin and I rekon it's gonna survive long enough for her to too. Thick plastic, well moulded. Good stuff.

I thought this was quite expensive for an oddly shaped over-sized plastic bowl, but my son loves it! He sits in it and spins round. He uses it as a hat (big enough to share with me and have a hat for two). He collects his toys in it. He's tried to eat his cereal out of it (lots of fun for him, much less fun for me). He's used it as a shell to put on his dad's back. My little one is only twenty months old and this strange toy has already proved to be great to encourage imaginative play. I'm sure it's going to be one of his favourites for quite some time.

Bigger than l expected which is good. I bought it for my grandson for Xmas so it hasn't been used as yet but my daughter who is an early learning specialist loves it and will be ordering some for the nursery school. To a child this will have hundreds of uses from roundabout and boat to something to drag your toys around in. Very sturdy so no need to worry about children using it upside down as a step stool. Uses are only limited by a child's imagination. It arrived very well packed and on the first day of the expected delivery period. Most impressive.

We use these as lunch time equipment in the primary school I work at. We try to limit them to EYFS and KS1 but typically years 5 & 6 are always trying to squeeze into them. (to be fair I would if I could, but my bottom is too big). They seem to last well as we've had them for a year with no issues. The bottom does get scratched when used on the playground but no cracks etc.Great fun to spin in, put on your head, bottom, back and tummy in. you can also put water in and float things in them....We have three colours now!

I did my homework on this one - who wouldn't it looks like an alien bin lid but has such rave reviews.I was not disappointed. Two of my children have sensory processing disorders and as such like to spin and rock. I was looking for a product that they could safely use in the home whilst not taking up too much space. This does just that - all of the kids love it - they sit in spin, rock, play computer games, eat their food, stand on it, wear it as a hat - you name it!

My 3 year old was given thus as a bday present and loves it. Great idea. She uses it as a helmet, to balance on, sits in, uses as a trolley, as backpack with straps, outside as a bucket and it's even been in the bath. My 9 month old loves poking his hand through the holes, climbing in it and playing peekaboo. It's also a good place to put his toys so they don't roll away from him. He is getting one for a christening present and have bought for another child. Love them!

I have heard mixed reviews but I love this. I gave it to my baby when he was about 8 months. He learned to spin, throw things in and push it around. As he got older, he keeps returning to it. I have a great video of him discovering centripetal force at a year old! It is very durable and his tween siblings can still fit and spin. It gives a bit of variety and gets him moving. It's not a clangy, twinkling noise maker from hell, either, which can only be a good thing.

Soon as this came it was opened and never left alone now if its not got a bum in it it has a head or cat .Spins fast my 3 year old loves me spinni her in it my 5 and 8 year old like to do it themselfs . They step on it hide with it and spin and probably in summer a million other uses . Dad suggested it would work well in the snow we will never get lol lots of fun joy and laughter great for children on spectrum who sensory seek

We have one of these for our son, who is now 7, bought when he was about 3, and it gets a lot of use still. This one was bought for his younger sister when she was 18 months. It might not look like much, but it gets used to carry things, as a turtle shell, a helmet, to balance on, as stepping stones, and most commonly, to sit in and spin around.Especially great for keeping kids moving when you're stuck indoors.

My daughters got one of these each yesterday on my youngest's birthday (2)- the day after my eldest (5) broke her elbow. Even in cast, the older one is sitting and wobbling and twirling in it, which is exactly what i hoped she would do. great for burning off energy indoors EVEN in a cast! my little one isn't to interested yet but I'm sure it will come. So sturdy and lots of things to do with these in the future.

5.4.2016

This was purchased for my 4year old niece who "has everything". Not only that, she will let you know if she does not like something. After opening the present she pondered briefly and within minutes was playing with it. It was used as a spinner and a vessel to be dragged in. The children worked out how they wanted to play with it. I have got her older brother one for his birthday to prevent arguments.

27.8.2014

Bought this for my autistic goddaughter (fifth birthday) - almost a year later she still plays with it. Sits in it, spins in it, stands on it, has her sister spin / drag her about, wears it as a massive hat! It is just an odd shaped plastic thing - but seems to have a big appeal. It is a little smaller than I thought which is good in that it is easier to store or just have around than I thought.

20.2.2017

I bought this for my eldest son 15 years ago, and 3 further children later it's still going strong. It has been a hat, a dolls bed, a spinny thing, a stool, a cat toy, a car park, toy carrier, snail shell among other things. All of the 4 kids still use it, though the teenagers would kill me for admitting that they still love spinning in it. Get one, your kids will use it for years to come
