Royal Canin Intense Hairball 34 is brilliant, however when I went to checkout to buy it on Amazon I noticed it was Royal Canin Hairball Care, which is NOT the same.My long haired maine coon has had Intense Hairball 34 all her life and I have found hardly any furballs, she's an indoor cat. I used to get the biscuit from Pets at Home but they suddenly stopped selling this in their shops and replaced it with Hairball Care, although you could still get Intense from them online only.So while I was in the shop I bought Royal Canin Hairball Care and was told it was exactly the same as the Intense 34, but Royal Canin had just changed the name. This was not true!My cat was on Royal Canin Hairball Care for over a month, and the amount of furballs was horrendous. It did absolutly nothing to prevent them, and it was a total waste of time. Not to mention her discomfort at trying to bring up a huge furball the size of a sausage along with all the associated liquid goo that goes with it.So now I'm ordering from Pets at Home and paying £30 a bag for the Intense Hairball 34 because it's definately worth the extra money, when you consider the money you'd have to pay the vet to remove a blockage caused by a furball!

I've got two young Birmans. My little girl is a keen groomer and also has Pica. In addition to ingesting loads of hair she goes absolutely nuts for any loose whisps of hair she can find. Weirdo. I was becoming worried about the frequency of her nausea especially as fewer furballs were coming up and the vet exolained she probably had a very big hair blockage. After using a cat laxative paste to dislodge the hair I was keen to switch their diet to one to really help reduce hairballs. Since feeding this there has been no presents lying around and just one episode of sickness which did not stress her at all. There were a few issues with the delivery but that's another story.I've marked the item diwn by one star as Royal Cabin have a reputation for using cerals and they're not terribly transparent about their ingredients. That said, they have been o Royal Cabin products all their lives and have always transitioned well between their different products and my vet approves of this product.

Came across this when trying out various food for a Ragdoll with sensitive stomach. Of all tried this one proved to be the most successful.Best best is to shop around. Since I purchased this off Amazon the price went up ~ so bought elsewhere next time round.Update: In 2018 my Ragdoll started to throw-up the biscuits 5-10 minutes after eating them. It was a new bag so, I emailed the manufacturer to see if the recipe had changed. They didn't respond and I changed over to Purizon. He's been fine with that.November 2019 I cracked open a full 10kg bag of Royal Canin I'd put to one side, to see if my other cats would be okay with it. (They each have their own bowl) They were. From time to time,my ragdoll has had a nibble of the Royal Canin and, he's thrown up. So, I'm still suspicious that the recipe changed last year but, as Royal Canin didn't respond to my enquiry, I don't know for sure.

I have 2 moggies who are extremely fussy eaters - I have no idea why.... Their main diet has been Canin Indoor cat food + Occasional Canin Exigent biscuits + some wet food + Grass + water... they suffered from hairballs 2 or 3 times a month.I introduced this to their diet alongside the Indoor food as a main component - thinking they wouldn't like it - but they do... and they seem to be eating the Hairball and Indoor in equal quantities.... It appears to be working as for the past 3 months or so, since they've been eating it, they've had no more hairballs - the downside is that they're making more of a smell in the litter tray...So unless there's some sort of coincidence going on here - it works...I haven't changed anything else around the house, with their diet/bedding/flea-worming routine...

For the last few weeks, my Mr Tiddles has been having terrible hair ball trouble. Indeed, one day I woke to find a hairball the size of a Fiat Punto in my bedroom. What to do? I knew I could eliminate the problem by the use of a nutritious dry food available in a range of flavours, but I was determined to find a food that really stimulated intestinal transit. I did some research, both here and abroad. And imagine my delight when I found Royal Canin Intense Hairball 34 Dry Mix, available in a rockin' 10 kg sack. With proven efficiency, it cleared Mr Tiddles' problem in three short minutes, and now my darling pussy is not only very healthy, but incredibly thin. Thank you, Royal Canin. As they say in France, it is 'bon pour l'elimination des boules de poils'.

I started using this food for my long haired cat who became very dehydrated and constipated from his normal wet and dry food as he doesn't drink much water. It became that bad I had to syringe 100ML a day water into his mouth n was at my wits end thinking I'd looking at a big vet bill for stuck hairball. Since using it he is much happier and his coat and health have improved amazingly. He is no longer constipated n asks for his wet food. He has a dish of the hair ball care out all the time so he can access as n when he needs it and has Sheba fresh sachets 1-2 a day. He even goes and drinks water by himself now which was rarely seen previously. I think this product has saved my cat and saved me a huge vets bill. Thanks to royal canin.?

Have just reordered this product for my Tortie cat Pickle. She licks everything - furry blankets, soft toys, jumpers, us and herself. She was bringing up big furry ropes of hairballs and was obviously in some distress through being constipated. We thought we would try this before going down the vet route as being a rescue cat she is even more terrified of cat boxes than usual. Well it has worked a treat, no problem getting her to eat it and she is obviously a lot more comfortable. She has been on it since around the beginning of September and she has only been sick once and that was after she gorged herself. It is not inexpensive but worth every penny and Amazon is a bit cheaper than the Pet supermarket I bought the first one from.

My cat loves to groom, but last year, whilst she was moulting, the fur she was ingesting was causing her to have major stomach upsets and abdominal pains. She normally eats Royal Canin sensible 33, but we decided to introduce Royal Canin Hairball care to her diet whilst she was moulting and noticed that there was a gradual improvement with her digestion. This year, we started her on the Hairball Care as soon as we noticed she was moulting and it's worked like a charm. No tummy pain, no diarrhoea, we have a very content cat, plus she loves them!

My ragdoll loves this cat food. We give her a mixture of wet food and dry food and in the morning she always goes for her crockets first. We originally got this particular make as our cat was making lots of hairball noises and thought that this product would help. It's safe to say that we have seen a visible difference in our cat since changing her cat food. She coughs less and her coat is softer and shinier. Royal Canin is the only cat food we would buy for our @miss_princess_lola

3 months ago it worked out cheaper for me to buy a 10KG bag as this is the only thing my cat eats. I still have about 2 months left. The bag is enormous so I have no complaints over the price. The cat's coat (1 year old Bengal) is as healthy and she is as energetic as the day we picked her up from the breeder.Delivery was smooth and the whole purchasing experience was hassle free. I will be buying this product from this seller again

If like me you have a long-haired cat, you will no doubt be very familiar with hairballs found around and about. Our Birman, Archie,(who looks uncannily like the kitty on the front of the packet!) is about 10 years old and is primarily an indoor cat and we needed something to help him with his hairball issues, which since we adopted him in January were being found sometimes up to twice a week around the house. We tried

Excellent cat food. Our fussy 6 year old can't get enough! Only problem - we have to keep it well away from our 2 dogs as they love it too.I can highly recommend this exceptional dry food for cats. We have tried cheaper dried food which he simply doesn't eat. He ate out somewhere as cats sometimes do. But since we've been feeding him Royal Canin, he is much more content and always comes home to eat and sleep.

THERE WAS A NOTICEABLE REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF HAIRBALLS WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF USING THE MIX AND AFTER 3 WEEKS HARDLY ANY AT ALL. THE FUR IS PRESENT IN HER STOOLS SHOWING THAT THE MIX HELPS PASS THE HAIR ALONG HER DIGESTIVE SYSTEM.THERE IS A DIRECT CORRELATION WITH THE DEFLEEING OF THE CAT AS SHE DOES NOT LICK/NIBBLE HERSELF AS MUCH AFTER TREATMENT AND THE HAIRBALLS ARE THEN FEW AND FAR BETWEEN.

We have a long haired cat that just struggled with hairballs and tends to vomit a lot. These have solved the hair ball issue. As a result he only leaves us a vom pile when he's got an upset stomach, which is hardly ever.Only problem is these are higher fat that some as a result they need to be rationed. Our other cat likes them too much and she's put on a fair amount of weight. Be warned!

I've been using this for few years. My cat always was coughing up furr balls every week. I researched for something to help this food is brilliant and she only ever has an odd furr ball now at all. It's a little more expensive. But I will never give her anything else. Thank god I found it. Royal canin is part of jameswelbeloved food. So I knew it would be good. Well worth the money.
