I bought this for travelling, particularly when flying abroad.It fits neatly into my shoulder bag, and is smaller about the same size as my 24-105 lens.It is really nice and lightweight, and I barely notice carrying it.It comes with a small ball head and arca-swiss type QR plate. The screw to attach the plate to your camera can be tightened by screwdriver, but can also be tightened by hand using the flip up section on the screw head. I did have to tighten it quite a bit when using the camera in a vertical position to stop the camera drooping.The tripod has 3 leg positions, for almost flat but also for 2 upright positions. The legs twist to unlock and extend which is easily done,
