As a lecturer I have suffered the diktats of the Department of Education ministers and minions. Many of these directives have caused both myself and my students problems. Some of the most contentious ones are based around the production and issuing of handouts. My students have repeatedly told me that they do not want handouts hole punched and that they aren’t too fussed about them being stapled (especially when one of the decrees said that all handouts must be stapled at an angle on the top right hand side of the handout with the holes punched down the left … think about it ?!).Not only does the DoE state the exact position of the staple but it also dictates the position of the holes to bepunched too.As a result of meeting these demands (because not to punch and staple the handouts as required would cost us valuable points and could have us declared as failing as well as costing me my job and my teaching licence) I burn through hole punches and staplers.I have used supermarkets own brands and other cheap ones only to have them fail within a short time and have to be replaced, hence when I find a good brand I tend to stick with it.Rexel has proven to be one of the good stationery brands available, in my opinion. The stapler is easy to load and easy to use. The staples are good solid metal made ones and they don’t fail too often.I am hoping that the stapler will last me at least a term/semester.

OK YOU NEED A STAPLER=====================You may need to staple a lot of paper, or just occasionally. There are TOO MANY to choose from: Manual desktop staplers, (most day to day) heavy-duty electric staplers can staple reams of paper,Effort? Heavy? Light? Small?THIS ONE=======It's fine for your daily stapling. I think it looks OK but it wouldn't win any modern design awards. It's a very normal stapler. You can staple 20 sheets at a time.STAPLER========It's a stapler that looks OK. Usual looking but light and easy to use.CONSTRUCTION=============Solid. Metal and plastic construction. It should survive a drop or two.SHEETS=======Standard full strip staplers will staple together between 20 to 50 sheets of 80gsm paper at once.Half strip and mini staplers have a stapling capacity of around 10 to 30 sheets of 80gsm paper. This is a 20 sheet stapler. It's good. It's quite solid and is suitable for both home or an office.PROS=====Good brandFault freeStandard size staplelooks goodwell constructednot too heavyCONS=====none so farOVERALL========An ok looking stapler which is fine at its job. I'll update the review if I have any problems. Hope this helps.

This stapler isn't going to blow you away or change your life but it's a great budget stapler for the very good price it has at the moment and does exactly what I need it to do so I have no complaints - I only need to staple 2-3 sheets at a time and for this it's absolutely fine. The staples load easily, the spring seems pretty good as the action is firm and easy and I haven't had any failures yet despite using it for the last week at least a handful of times each day.The more important thing with a budget stapler like this will be how long it lasts - this is replacing another budget stapler which although of very similar build and quality lasted for around 4 years before it started to misfire/half-fire/or just staple itself before hitting the sheets recently (RIP young Matador!).Hopefully this one will last as long. You should probably only use the recommended staples (Rexel No.56 staples or Rexel No.16 staples) but it doesn't come with any of either so I've been using it with the same sized staples I had but made by a different company and these worked fine with no problems.A budget stapler for a budget price - does the job for lightweight office duties and no complaints!

This Rexel Ecodesk model is an inexpensive compact half strip stapler from this long-established office-products brand, which is now a part of ACCO Brands Europe. This Ecodesk model uses 26/6 or 24/6 staples – none are supplied – and it can staple up to 20 sheets of paper at a time, making it suitable for lighter stapling jobs around the home, school or office. This compact design has a plastic body with 50% recycled content – hence “Eco” in the name. Overall a good value product, at around a fiver currently from Amazon, it works quite well and comes with a 2-year guarantee when using Rexel's own staples. It has a top-loading mechanism for easy refilling and features an integral staple remover – four stars for value and features at the current price.

This is a review of the Rexel Ecodesk Compact Stapler, 20 Sheet Capacity, Plastic Body, Black. Says it all really. It's a small desk stapler - handy for occasional use. It will, apparently, staple up to 20 pages using 6mm staples, but I'd generally use a more heavy duty stapler if I'm doing more than half a dozen or so, sheets. The plastic top is made of 50% recycled materials if that's important to you. It takes two half strips of staples and has an indicator on the side that tells you when you're down to your last 10 staples or so. It has a non-slip base.Does everything I need for a small stapler for my desk.I've knocked a star off as it does not come with staples - 24/6 or 24/8 are recommended.

I have used these in the office for years and have two at home, one in the kitchen and another at my work desk.Capable of stapling several sheets of 80-100gsm paper as is used in every printer now available. It will staple thicker, but fewer of them. As an alternative, for temporary attachment rather than permanent, you can rotate the chrome plate and tack sheets instead. Rather than closing the end pieces, it spreads them out almost flat. In a bank where I once worked, we used dressmaking pins for the same purpose.Very useful in a home office. Recommended.

This is an robust 50% recycled plastic and metal stapler. It is a nice slim design and is comfortable to hold. It has rubber feet, to stop it sliding around and scratching the table whilst in use. It is a standard top loader stapler and takes No.16 (24/6) and No. 56 (26/6) staples... unfortunately there were non supplied with this stapler, so you need to buy some separately straight away, if you have non to hand already. It is for light to medium home or office use and should staple up to 20 sheets of paper, dependent on the paper you use.

This Rexel Ecodesk stapler works very well and is easy to use. It's very good value I think, as it doesn't jam, is easy to load in the traditional way, can staple 20 sheets easily, is lightweight and has recycled content. For the price it's very good. It even has a low staple indicator. With so many fancy staplers around these days, the full-strip design is starting to look a bit old fashioned, but on the plus side this does hold a lot of staples and more staples than some more modern alternatives. It's easy to recommend this stapler.

16.11.2018

A very smart and traditional office desk stapler. Its sleek lines, lovely smooth action, and non slip base make this an ideal desk companion for anyone needing a good quality stapler. I'm using with Rexel staples and it is flawless. The stapler is gauged at up to 20 sheets of standard 80gsm paper, but with that number of sheets you're needing to put a fair bit of pressure into the squeeze. Simply packed in card and not a bubble of impossible to break open plastic, this traditional office staple(!) will be the envy of your colleagues.

25.6.2018

a robust and easy to use stapler, that has metal moving parts and a plastic base and plastic top. This stapler doesn't slip on the desk surface and is easy to press, minimising wrist strain. There is a window each side of the stapler showing the status of the staple tray - revealing when you are about to run out of staples and need to reload. reloading is easy, just pull the top back from the bottom and slip in another tray. Ideal for the home or the office. Does just what you expect - reliably!

Really pleased with this stapler which we use in our little department of 4 at work. It's sturdy enough for communal use and takes a document of about 20 sheets with comfort. It doesn't seem to jam, at least so far after 6 weeks' use.If used by careful people I think this item will be long-lived, and at a decent price. The ones that only cost £1 never last, and you always wonder if they were made by a child slave somewhere.Suitable for basic, every day office use.

This is reasonable sized stapler. It’s made out of plastic and top plastic part is from recycled material. It only does a maximum of 20 sheets which is quite poor and I’d be included to pay a bit extra and get something more substantial. However, for under a fiver it’s a decent stapler if you’re only doing light jobs with a few sheets. It’s top loading and takes standard sized staples - 26/6 and 24/6. Haven’t had any issues with it jamming at all.

Rexel Ecodesk Stapler -Black - 2100026This is a sturdy workhorse of a stapler with a 20-sheet capacity. The body is plastic though doesn't feel plasticky, and it is tough and durable, with a metal stapling mechanism. There are matching items in the Ecodesk range. A solid choice for the office or home office. For sale at the time of writing this review at £8.86.

A compact stapler for the modern small desk. The colour is black. The plastic is part recycled. Made by a reputable French manufacturer called Rexel. Probably best to get one now before the borders close and we no longer have access to cheap staplers! Brexit!Cheaper on Amazon than other sites like office stationery and staples, ironically.

18.6.2018

This is a neat and practical stapler from Rexel. It is partly made from recycled plastic and is strong and sturdy. It would be perfect for office or home - or for students. It takes the normal 26/6 staples - but does NOT come with any in the box. Works perfectly well and is basically a great stapler.
